F1: The Speed Legend

The red-carpet arrival had evolved into a massive, unshielded media storm.

”Who exactly is the guy in the red suit?”

”Thor was completely left in the shade. The man’s presence is absolutely unreal!”

”Is he Elizabeth Olsen’s new boyfriend?”

”I can’t get over how cleanly he carried that custom Dior look.”

”The undisputed center of attention for the entire evening!”

The online commentary was a relentless wash of traffic. Fans across digital platforms were parsing the images like they had discovered an entirely new era of style icons, their notifications blowing up by the second.

Amidst the sudden mainstream noise, the active Tifosi community quickly noticed where the algorithmic traffic was pointing.

”Why is our team captain suddenly walking a Hollywood red carpet?”

”True to form, he holds his own alongside the A-list talent without breaking a sweat.”

”Wow, I had zero assumption that he could pull off a high-fashion look like this.”

As the mainstream audience kept guessing, dedicated motorsport fans stepped into the comment sections to clear up the confusion.

”Kai. Nineteen. Scuderia Ferrari racer. 2018 Formula 1 Drivers’ World Champion. Currently single.”

The confirmation dropped like a stone into a still lake, sending ripples across the entire network. It was a massive crossover explosion that Hollywood’s marketing teams hadn’t factored into their metrics.

For two continuous months, Disney’s publicity and communications departments had meticulously mapped out the promotional campaign for Spider-Man: Far From Home, worried that the heavy conclusion of Avengers: Endgame would lead to a sharp drop in box-office momentum for subsequent character releases. They had engineered a massive corporate framework to sustain the Marvel universe’s long-term commercial structure, not to promote an independent athlete from an entirely separate industry.

Yet here they were, with the absolute share of media focus, digital tracking, and organic engagement shifting directly toward Kai. The studio had essentially built a massive promotional platform only for an outsider to step up and capture the reward!

Leaks from the studio suggested the publicity directors and media managers were completely losing their minds. Caught off guard by the massive narrative shift, their communications teams were running in circles trying to manage the press feeds.

The layout was far from simple. Behind the scenes, Ferrari’s marketing division and Formula 1’s commercial rights holders were actively fueling the fire. Even they hadn’t anticipated the crossover alignment to deliver this level of immediate traction. But now that the strategic window was wide open, they had zero intention of letting it close. Tapping into their deep reservoir of media channels, sports news outlets launched a massive secondary push before the traditional entertainment desks could even structure their columns, accelerating the digital momentum right over the studio’s controls.

The explosion was total.

Disney wasn’t the only entity trying to keep up. Nicolas Todt found himself equally surprised by the velocity of the traction. The scale of the digital distribution had cleared their best expectations, moving entirely beyond standard public relations management.

That was the unfiltered power of Hollywood’s media matrix. Its capacity to transform a profile into an overnight global headline sat at the absolute summit of modern commercial entertainment.

However, as they cleared the theater gates, the agent’s primary concern wasn’t their upcoming feature with GQ. His focus was on a separate variable.

”What exactly did you discuss with Calvin McDonald?”

Nicolas couldn’t even wait for the transport vehicle to clear the avenue, launching the inquiry from the front seat the moment the doors clicked shut.

Kai looked up, mildly amused. ”You recognize his profile? Is he a major name in the entertainment loop? An actor? A director?”

Nicolas stared. ”You had zero data regarding his corporate identity, yet you spent ten minutes laughing with him on a live carpet?”

Kai offered a perfectly level expression. ”We’re executing a high-stakes team defense here, Nicolas. My purpose at that premiere wasn’t to silently analyze a superhero script. We needed to build an alternative narrative and maximize every single opening along the walkway. I simply brought total focus to the interaction. Regardless of their corporate tile, I’m expected to project absolute social ease on camera, right?”

Lorenzo let out a quiet laugh from the side. ”I’d verify that you completely dominated the red-carpet narrative tonight.”

Nicolas’s expression softened slightly, a faint smile appearing. ”Calvin McDonald is the CEO of Lululemon. He’s an exceptionally driven, practical executive. He’s barely logged a year in the leadership chair, yet under his strategic direction, the brand’s global trajectory has scaled significantly.”

Kai raised an eyebrow. ”Then what was his strategic motivation for attending a Spider-Man premiere?”

Nicolas choked slightly. ”Is that the critical variable we should be tracking right now?”

Kai held his hands out. ”Of course. My conversation with him could simply look like an accidental collision or a minor media play, while his presence at the screening involves a separate commercial layout. Tell me, is he evaluating Tom Holland or Zendaya for a major brand ambassadorship? Though if I remember their corporate structure correctly, Lululemon avoids traditional athlete sponsorships.”

Lorenzo noticed Kai’s look. ”I don’t hold the specific brand files on them, but doesn’t Lululemon rely almost exclusively on grassroots community marketing?”

Nicolas took a slow breath, his engineering focus returning. ”Correct. Their product architecture centers on yoga and running fitness apparel. They explicitly bypass the high-cost celebrity endorsement models favored by Nike or Adidas, choosing instead to run a localized community outreach framework. They partner directly with independent fitness instructors and regional athletic studios. It’s not an endorsement contract; they simply supply the trainers with complimentary gear for their classes, leveraging organic word-of-mouth to anchor a loyal consumer base.”

”Their targeting is locked onto young white-collar professionals and upper-middle-class demographics. The positioning is remarkably clean, which means they don’t require heavy commercial ad spend or mainstream celebrity face-time.”

”Which is exactly why the math doesn’t work out. Why is Calvin McDonald walking a Hollywood blockbuster carpet, and why did he look entirely aligned with your personal feedback?”

From the agent’s vantage point in the media enclosure, McDonald had interacted with numerous corporate reps throughout the evening, but his sole deep, animated exchange had been with the Ferrari driver.

The parameters didn’t fit the standard corporate profile.

Nicolas looked back at Kai. ”Are you absolutely certain the conversation stayed entirely casual?”

Kai laughed cleanly. ”Relax, Nicolas. I understand that every square inch of Hollywood represents a commercial opportunity, and we’re all hunting for a fresh breakthrough. But as we say back home, rushing the timeline is a quick way to spoil the strategy. Expecting a single red-carpet encounter to immediately deliver a finalized commercial partnership is an unrefined calculation.”

”Calvin and I didn’t review a single corporate file. It was simple, casual banter. We talked about vehicle dynamics and classic cinema—there was zero commercial data exchanged.”

”Our immediate analytical focus shouldn’t be anchored on Lululemon’s board decisions. We need to track the media wind. The infrastructure is online, and our pieces are fully arranged.”

Nicolas remained quietly curious about the corporate angle, but he recognized the driver’s logic. You had to prioritize the primary battle line, and their defensive cover story required absolute execution.

As they spoke, the transport vehicle pulled up to the main entrance of the Beverly Hills Hilton, the short ten-minute transit from the theater completed smoothly.

Kai smoothed his jacket. ”The custom red tailoring felt perfectly natural standing before the camera wall on the carpet, but stepping away from that environment makes the look feel incredibly loud. Arriving at a hotel lobby like this isn’t going to look slightly ridiculous?”

Lorenzo evaluated his appearance, doing his best to hide a smirk. ”Don’t overthink it. Treat the Dior suit like your standard Ferrari race kit. You spend half your season interacting with the public in vibrant red clothing anyway, so the visual baseline is identical.”

Imagining Kai moving through a quiet hotel lobby in high-fashion evening wear was a highly amusing visual layout, and the manager’s composure was testing its limits.

Kai narrowed his eyes at his manager, his minor hesitation dissolving. ”True style comes down to absolute confidence, right? If I don’t signal that the look is unconventional, the awkwardness belongs entirely to the observer.”

With that, Kai opened the door and stepped out of the vehicle. He adjusted his collar, squared his shoulders, and walked calmly toward the glass doors of the lobby.

The main concourse was completely saturated with people. A massive crowd of fans filled the space, their torsos leaning forward over the barriers as they waited. The exact second Kai’s red-suited figure cleared the entrance, the entire room caught its collective breath, the fans utilizing absolute discipline to hold back their cheering.

This was a luxury hotel lobby; they couldn’t compromise the comfort of the other guests.

Yet the silence carried more energy than a loud stadium roar. The unedited excitement and dedication radiating from the crowd felt almost physical, a wave of intense energy sweeping cleanly across the marble floor.

The entire assembly was made up of the Tifosi—the passionate motorsport fans who had coordinated cross-country travel from every corner of North America to catch a glimpse of the driver.

They had waited for hours, and finally seeing Kai in person brought a wave of pure delight that bypassed any formal words. Their eyes were bright with total dedication as they focused on him.

The arrangement was entirely Kai’s idea.

Under the studio’s strict guest limits for the premiere, he had been unable to take over the red carpet, leaving room for only fifty credentialed fans outside the Chinese Theatre. It was a tiny fraction of the community.

When Kai learned that hundreds of other fans had caught long-haul flights from across the continent—responding instantly to an unverified, casual call on social networks to join the Los Angeles layout—only to find themselves locked out of the premiere perimeter, he felt a deep sense of responsibility.

It was an unfortunate logistical miss, and it left him feeling uncomfortable.

Given the packed commercial schedule Totd had mapped out for the summer shutdown, Kai held zero alternative windows to interact with these supporters or validate their efforts.

Consequently, he had structured a counter-proposal: once the premiere wrapped up, he would host a brief, private meeting inside the lobby of the Beverly Hills Hilton, using a personal gesture to reciprocate their incredible loyalty and ensure their Los Angeles trip yielded a memorable highlight rather than absolute disappointment.

He couldn’t satisfy every individual request on the grid, but within his personal capacity, he could ensure they understood that their tracking and dedication weren’t a one-way street. When he stated that the fanbase functioned as an essential component of his racing unit, he wasn’t running a corporate PR script; it was his authentic position.

He backed his words with concrete execution.

Standing there now—

His simple presence lit up the room, turning a crowded lobby into an organized, intensely quiet circle of support. Every eye looked toward him with absolute admiration, creating a visual weight that carried more impact than any loud grandstand.

Any minor self-consciousness Kai had felt regarding the bold red suit vanished instantly, his natural charm taking over as he interacted with the crowd.

Lorenzo shook his head with a dry smile. ”He simply simulates that initial hesitation to manage our expectations, doesn’t he?”

Nicolas stood watching from the flank, his smile intact but his analytical thoughts racing. A few minutes ago, the young driver had been moving past a wall of international media flashes at the peak of Hollywood, looking like he belonged at the summit of the industry; a quick transit later, he was completely integrated with a group of ordinary racing fans, entering an entirely separate social environment without showing a single sector of friction.

The same authentic smile, the same absolute ease.

Perhaps that unshielded flexibility was the core of Kai’s unique appeal. Within his extensive career managing grand prix talent, Nicolas had never evaluated a driver who possessed this specific mental elasticity.

It made perfect sense why the Tifosi naturally addressed him as team captain. The authority was completely organic.

”Nicolas,” Lorenzo murmured, nudging the agent’s shoulder. ”Our communications team needs to launch the next phase.”

Nicolas pulled his focus back, taking a slow breath. It was exactly because they held this asset that they had to maintain absolute focus, pushing toward the world championship titles with everything they had—

They couldn’t allow Mercedes’ political trap to catch them exposed.

”Understood. Let’s trigger the timeline,” Nicolas said, his gaze locking into absolute determination.

The Spider-Man 2 premiere had successfully captured the global digital network, the media push Disney had structured over twelve months generating massive traffic across the entertainment feeds. Yet strangely, alongside the main film discussions, the newly crowned F1 champion had emerged like a cinematic superhero himself, capturing a dominant share of online interest and fan engagement.

As that organic momentum scaled up, a sharp, critical counter-narrative emerged from specific press outlets—

”Captured by the spotlight, chasing celebrity lifestyles: Kai loses his racing edge inside Hollywood’s superficial circle.”

”Off-track distractions! Midnight parties! The summer break shutdown has barely initialized, yet Kai has already checked out to launch a lifestyle campaign.”

”When a front-running grand prix driver commands the front pages for red-carpet wardrobes rather than sector times—we’ve seen this trajectory unfold before.”

Teasing columns, editorial warnings, public skepticism, fan critiques, and sharp reprimands filled the feeds.

The sports press led the charge. La Gazzetta dello Sport ran a prominent editorial piece: Kai Chases the Legacy of David Beckham, But What Are the Real Consequences for Maranello?

The reference matched the history of twenty years prior, when Beckham’s visual appeal had propelled him into the center of the international celebrity matrix, his high-profile relationship with Victoria Adams turning him into a permanent target for the global tabloids. His hairstyles, wardrobe choices, and personal schedule were placed under an absolute microscope, every single move generating massive media noise.

The long-term career result?

The general public’s perception of Beckham settled into a permanent definition: an elite commercial brand, completely separating him from the serious football elite.

In reality, while Beckham may not have possessed the raw, unpredictable genius of Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, his core athletic delivery and precision on the pitch were undeniable. His initial breakthrough at Manchester United had been driven entirely by world-class performances, his visual appeal simply acting as fuel for the subsequent media explosion. But once he was fully integrated into the celebrity lifestyle, his professional output could never entirely clear the ”fashion asset” stigma, leaving him without absolute validation from the serious sports press even after his retirement.

Elite competitive sports are cold-blooded environments. Young prospects always look at Beckham’s blueprint with envy—realizing they can capture massive commercial capital and long-term wealth without having to sacrifice their physical reserves or risk career-ending injuries on the field. Yet the harsh reality was that many talented athletes who split their focus wound up like Wayne Rooney: a caution tale of unfulfilled potential. The narrative of talent compromised by distraction never changed; every generation produced its own specific examples.

The pattern was repeating itself.

Kai had proven his world-class talent and engineering focus on the track across multiple grand prix distances, securing absolute respect from the core fanbase. His defining quality was his absolute dedication to the car; unlike other young prospects, he had always maintained a completely clear head when confronted by the commercial distractions of the paddock, choosing to invest his entire physical capacity into trackside execution. He had converted his raw talent into spectacular performances on the asphalt.

Yet here he was, showing signs of the same vulnerability, standing under the Hollywood lights to trade casual banter with actors.

The question was blunt: why was the reigning F1 world champion making promotional appearances at a film premiere? Why was he spending precious holiday time networking with entertainment reporters, studio executives, and directors? What was the commercial motivation behind this sudden West Coast branding campaign? Why try to validate his profile in an industry completely separate from his own?

It looked entirely illogical.

It was deeply frustrating to his supporters, and it triggered immediate concern.

Ferrari’s 2019 campaign had been spectacular, marked by raw performance, operational resilience, and relentless development. It represented their best shot at a championship title in a decade. Kai was supposed to use the summer break shutdown to recover his physical reserves and prep his mindset for the grueling final leg, not lose himself inside the superficial entertainment circles of Los Angeles.

”It’s a slippery slope toward professional decline. He needs to adjust his path before the season restarts.”

The critical columns were sharp and relentless, with the Italian sports media demanding their new leader wake up and refocus his priorities.

Throughout the 2019 season, Kai had built immense momentum, capturing the moral high ground at every turn. Even when he had taken matters into his own hands outside the car during the tense post-race incident in Monaco, public opinion had stayed firmly behind him. His trackside execution was practically flawless, positioning the Ferrari captain as the most respected driver on the current grid.

But with this sudden Hollywood detour, he had finally exposed a clear operational vulnerability. The sports media pack descended like predators, locking onto the story and refusing to drop the line.

The distribution was absolute, with the Spider-Man 2 coverage acting as fuel for the critical fire. The media campaign targeting Kai’s off-track distractions scaled rapidly, the columns pushing the topic straight into a massive international narrative.

The parameters were shifting rapidly.

”Wow...” Lorenzo muttered, checking his screen. The sheer scale of the social media backlash was staggering, even though he knew their own PR team had initiated the leaks. The critical pieces in the Italian papers had been quietly coordinated by Ferrari’s communications desk; the exact narrative unfolding on the screens was precisely what they had mapped out.

Even so, the sheer volume of the response drew a sharp breath from the manager.

He had zero doubt that Mercedes and Red Bull’s marketing teams were actively feeding the fire from behind the scenes.

How had the narrative scaled this quickly?

”I remember reading that when David Beckham and Victoria first announced their relationship, the entire sports establishment turned hostile. The relentless criticism and absolute media tracking followed them everywhere, completely dominating the front pages. Every single personal detail was converted into a public headline.”

”I always assumed those accounts were slightly exaggerated by modern sports bloggers, a classic piece of internet hyperbole. I lacked any physical reference for that level of media pressure because it happened before my time on the grid.”

”But looking at this layout?”

The realization hit him clearly. Even witnessing the mechanics of the media war firsthand, the speed of the distribution was hard to believe.

Lorenzo’s immediate response was simple. ”The entire network has completely lost its mind, hasn’t it?”

Kai looked up from his console, a slight smile appearing on his face. ”There’s zero reason to panic over the metrics, Lorenzo. The tracking around Beckham’s early career was significantly more invasive. Paparazzi combing through his trash and tracking his personal vehicles was routine; they even located listening devices inside his residence.”

Lorenzo’s eyes widened. ”That’s an absolute legal breach, isn’t it?”

Kai held his hands out. ”Welcome to the modern entertainment matrix. When criminal liability and personal privacy are completely subverted for content clicks, anything is on the table.”

Lorenzo felt a slight chill, turning to look at the agent. ”Is that our baseline reality now?”

Nicolas remained absorbed in his own data logs, offering no immediate reply.

”Nicolas!” Lorenzo raised his voice, snapping the agent back to attention. Tracking the expression on Nicolas’s face, the manager’s focus sharpened. ”What is it? Did a variable drop out of alignment?”

”I told you from the start that our team was pushing the initial leaks too hard. Backed by Mercedes and Red Bull’s analytical assets, they’re framing Kai’s trip like he’s committed a major regulatory violation. There was zero reason to drive the exposure this far—”

Nicolas cut him off with a wave of his hand. ”The media backlash isn’t the problem. That line is performing exactly to our expectations. Even with the press trend looking volatile, the metrics stay within our parameter limits. Mercedes and Red Bull’s marketing reps are fully aware that lifestyle rumors won’t break Kai’s core driving delivery, and the serious Tifosi won’t be easily swayed by tabloid columns. We don’t need to panic over the comments.”

The agent looked directly at Kai.

Kai registered the shift immediately. ”What’s the variance?”

A strategic layout never survived contact with reality without a minor collision; plans were structured precisely to incorporate unexpected shifts. That was the standard reality of paddock operations.

With their rivals tracking their every move, an unexpected detour was entirely normal.

Nicolas took a slow breath. ”We have a major logistical failure in a separate sector, and it has the potential to compromise our entire timeline.”

”The GQ feature.”

The mention made Lorenzo look over instantly, tracking the agent’s expression.

Kai looked puzzled. ”What’s the issue with GQ? I didn’t connect with a single rep from their team during the premiere.”

Lorenzo let out a dry, humorless laugh. ”That is precisely where the plan dropped its chain, Kai. You didn’t meet them.”

Nicolas nodded. ”Under Phase Two of the layout, you were scheduled to connect directly with a specific senior fashion editor on the red carpet, using style metrics to anchor the lifestyle narrative. The meeting was supposed to lead directly to an exclusive interview, providing our second major wave of off-track distraction topics right after the screening.”

Kai caught the logic now. ”And that senior editor was from GQ?”

”Yes.” Nicolas rubbed his temple, feeling an impending headache. ”The red carpet parameters moved completely out of our control. We didn’t anticipate you spending that much time reviewing cinematography with Elizabeth Olsen, nor did we plan on Calvin McDonald engaging you in a deep conversation. By the time our PR team tried to redirect the sequence, the editor had cleared the zone.”

The situation was becoming distinct.

The technical problem wasn’t complex; the real issue was human ego. Managing elite media personalities and personal dynamics was always the most volatile part of public relations.

Still, frustrating an independent editor wasn’t an absolute disaster; they retained room to negotiate a correction.

Kai kept his head level, avoiding an immediate conclusion. ”What’s the damage assessment?”

Nicolas sighed. ”GQ has officially pulled our six-page feature spread from their autumn issue.”

”Oh?” Kai tilted his head. ”That’s the absolute limit of the crisis?”

Despite the professional stress, looking at the driver’s calm expression made Nicolas let out a quick laugh. ”It seems we’ve finally located an operational space where you lack baseline experience.”

Kai smiled. When it came to the mechanics of high-fashion magazine publishing, he was entirely green. ”I can’t master every single framework on this planet, Nicolas. I have to leave some operational room for the rest of the grid to survive.”

”Ha!” The agent’s posture relaxed slightly, finding a touch of humor in the crunch.

Nicolas structured the full assessment.

”Canceling your interview and photo spread was simply their initial response.”

”They moved with absolute speed to lock down Chris Hemsworth to fill the empty allocation. Better yet, they upgraded his package, anchoring him as the definitive cover star for that exact issue. That’s their secondary play.”

”First, they are broadcasting their professional anger without leaving room for diplomatic compromise. They located a high-profile replacement instantly and boosted his media package. Given that Hemsworth’s press line had just been completely upended by your red-carpet arrival, their editorial position is an explicit corporate slap in our face.”

”Second, they are displaying complete corporate finality. They have rejected our press office’s initial apology and refused to open contract negotiations. They want zero further commercial association with our group. While they haven’t issued a formal statement to the media, their position is perfectly clear to the major Hollywood PR agencies, which means alternative lifestyle publications will hesitate to touch your profile.”

” While GQ isn’t the absolute pinnacle of high fashion, they are a dominant force in the men’s style sector. Their structural position is highly influential, and alternative editors will align with their cues to avoid friction. If an independent publication backs us now, they are openly crossing a major industry benchmark.”

Lorenzo analyzed the layout. ”And they locked down Chris Hemsworth for the cover. Crossing GQ’s editorial team is one variable; launching a direct conflict against Hemsworth’s corporate representation is a completely separate calculation. His management agency and public relations firm will absolutely capitalize on the cover to feed the media war from behind the scenes.”

Nicolas nodded in agreement.

Frustrating an individual editor was a routine risk; breaking alignment with a flagship publication changed the parameters completely.

GQ was effectively building an absolute wall around Kai’s entry into the lifestyle market, a move Hemsworth’s PR team was actively supporting to reclaim their media leverage.

Lorenzo looked at the driver. ”Kai, this layout looks highly targeted. GQ’s reaction is one thing, but Hemsworth’s agency seems to be directing the timeline. What exactly happened during that exchange on the red carpet? Why is he coming at you with this level of corporate hostility, trying to freeze your profile out of the market completely?”

Kai looked equally confused, completely blind to the internal contract friction between Hemsworth and Disney. ”I have no idea. We just exchanged a few casual jokes. I assumed Hollywood actors maintained a flexible media filter, that they could handle basic banter far better than a grand prix driver.”

”Imagine if I ran that exact script with Kimi Räikkönen.”

The mental image made Nicolas and Lorenzo shudder simultaneously.

This time, even the agent lacked an immediate answer. Grand prix logistics and Hollywood studio politics were separated by a massive cultural distance; his standard paddock channels couldn’t penetrate Hemsworth’s agency layout.

Regardless of the underlying mechanics, the crisis had arrived, and it demanded an immediate tactical response. Ferrari’s engineering department was operating on a relentless schedule back in Europe.

Just an hour ago, Kai had been parsing the virtual chassis logs on his monitor, communicating real-time parameters to Leclerc while forwarding calibration targets to Simone Resta.

The technical crisis was complex and severe, requiring constant long-distance tracking. Maranello’s engineers would be facing that extreme workload for the duration of the shutdown, and Kai had to remain fully integrated with their timeline to find a solution.

Concurrently, his role in Los Angeles was to secure the absolute maximum media space to protect the factory’s timeline, ensuring the opposition’s scouts detected zero variance.

With Mercedes and Red Bull maintaining heavy political pressure back in Europe, encountering a secondary media crisis in California was an unwelcome complication.

The situation was remarkably tricky.

Yet the added layer of friction only sharpened Kai’s focus.

Within the boundaries of elite motorsport, unpredictable variables, mechanical failures, and sudden tactical crises were a routine part of every race weekend. Operating on the absolute edge of physics left zero room for a perfectly smooth run. Analyzing a crisis calmly, parsing the variables under pressure, and delivering a definitive strategic decision was their daily discipline.

It was his primary skillset.

The red carpet deviation had introduced a volatile new variable into the equation, but it allowed him to re-engage his analytical mind, the adrenaline sharpening his cognitive focus.

Kai tapped his fingers rhythmically against the armrest of the sofa, finding his operational cadence as he cleared away the immediate clutter to map out a clear line through the political vice.

The ultimate defense remained a direct offensive strike.

Instead of adjusting his posture to absorb the hit, he would launch a direct counter-move to capture the initiative.

”Nicolas, is high fashion a mandatory vector for our long-term brand equity?”

Nicolas looked up, momentarily caught off guard by the macro-question, but he answered directly.

”Obviously not. We prioritized the fashion sector simply because it presents a remarkably low barrier to entry, requiring nothing more than athletic symmetry and visual appeal. A profile with zero natural style credentials can be completely repackaged by elite designers and wardrobe teams to function as a trend-setter, and you already possess those baseline physical metrics.”

Kai tilted his chin with a dry smile. ”Is that a professional critique or a compliment? That my leverage rests entirely on my looks?”

Despite the pressure of the timeline, Nicolas couldn’t hold back a smile. ”That was a direct critique of David Beckham’s historical blueprint.”

Lorenzo added a dry remark from the side. ”And Lewis Hamilton lacks the necessary physical proportions for high fashion; his height parameters... which is why the legacy European houses have consistently kept him out of their core collections. Ferrari’s corporate scouts used to complain about your physical clearance during your junior evaluation, but that exact height is giving you absolute leverage in this market. The genetic sorting worked out in your favor.”

The humor was entirely out of place given the stakes, but the room couldn’t help it.

The group shared a clean laugh.

The atmosphere lifted.

Nicolas felt his analytical confidence return. ”The reality is that lifestyle marketing is far simpler than securing an acting contract or dropping a studio album. Breaking into cinema or music demands genuine technical talent, whereas anyone can secure a front-row seat at fashion week, walk into a media gala, or appear on a style spread. The industry relies entirely on subjective copy; if a look lacks traditional appeal, the PR reps simply label it ’experimental’. It’s a straightforward loop.”

Kai’s smile turned sharp. ”That depends entirely on your choice of scale.”

Nicolas paused, missing the driver’s underlying calculation. But catching the competitive glint in Kai’s eyes, an immediate realization hit him. ”What are you planning?”

Kai bypassed the question, focus locked onto his own strategy. ”Nicolas, we need to deploy our immediate response and secure the space for Charles and the engineering group back at the factory.”

”If we execute this cleanly, we can ride the momentum of the crisis, scale up the media noise, and draw Mercedes’ analytical focus entirely away from Maranello.”

”We ensure the paddock has zero downtime during this shutdown.”

Kai had located his vector through the political vice.

He may have lacked experience with Hollywood’s talent matrix, but political leverage followed identical rules across every industry.

”Sector one,” Kai said, aligning the steps.

”Regardless of how GQ’s editor structures his press drops, the reality is that our group missed the red-carpet alignment. We failed to meet the agreed parameter, which means the initial error belongs to our operations. He has every right to protect his schedule, and we will deliver a formal professional apology.”

”I’ll draft a personal hand-written note tonight, accompanied by an official floral arrangement. Lorenzo, coordinate a high-end corporate gift—ideally a rare heritage item from Ferrari’s historic archive—and have it delivered directly to GQ’s editor-in-chief.”

Lorenzo picked up the target instantly. ”The editor-in-chief?”

Kai nodded. ”The line editor cut off communication with Nicolas and locked his position without giving our press office a chance to review the parameters. He moved instantly to finalize a deal with Hemsworth, not just to salvage his layout, but to deliver a direct public snub to our management.”

”If we attempt to patch the relationship at his level, we are operating from a position of absolute weakness, giving him an opening to compromise our leverage further. The personal friction is turning into a structural block between our brand and their publication.”

”Consequently, we bypass his department entirely. We ignore the secondary tier and handle the relationship as a direct brand-to-brand alignment at the executive level.”

Bypassing the gatekeeper completely.

Nicolas’s eyes lit up as the strategic avenue opened. Evaluating the driver, a dry laugh escaped him. ”Moments ago you stated he had every right to be angry, and now you’re completely cutting his legs out from under him at the board level.”

Kai offered a light shrug. ”He retains the right to his frustration, obviously, and we retain our right to launch a counter-move. He surely didn’t expect our group to sit quietly in the garage and absorb the hit.”

”Perfect.” Nicolas’s expression cleared completely, a wide grin breaking through. ”Flawless layout.”

Kai’s smile remained quiet and level, projecting absolute ease, but his eyes held an intense, cold focus. His sharp competitive edge was fully showing through the corporate veneer.

An official apology was standard diplomacy, but he had zero intention of getting bogged down in low-level media friction. He would strike the exact center of gravity to secure an immediate knockout.

Nicolas felt a flash of adrenaline, straightening his posture slightly. The GQ line editor had zero assumption of the operational weight he had accidentally pulled down on his department.

Kai raised his eyes, locking focus with the agent, his smile deepening as he noted Nicolas’s alignment.

”Sector two: we shift our primary vector away from the fashion market and launch a direct play into Hollywood production.”

The room went completely still.

”Nicolas, run a complete data check on every theatrical project Chris Hemsworth is currently tracking, negotiating, or reviewing. Locate the primary producers, directors, or studio executives attached to those files. I don’t care about their specific studio ranking; they simply need to hold absolute greenlight authority over the casting. Coordinate a private dinner with them—no press, no agency reps, just a direct one-on-one layout.”

”If their production circle is too isolated to access through our standard channels, we pivot. Locate a high-end summer industry gala where those specific executives are locked into the guest list. I’ll secure credentials, attend the event, and establish contact on the floor personally. Concurrently, we leak a few unverified rumors to key Hollywood trade reporters to let the speculation circulate.”

”I’ll brief Frédéric Arnault on the layout tonight to secure his corporate sign-off. We’ll leverage LVMH’s institutional capital, letting the trades report that the luxury group is prepared to back my entry into a major cinematic feature.”

The ideas came with absolute velocity, the strategic layers aligning seamlessly.

Yet Kai realized his management team had stopped responding. He looked up to find two human statues staring back at him in complete, unshielded shock.

”What’s with the facial metrics, gentlemen?” Kai asked, humor vibrating in his voice.

Lorenzo swallowed hard. ”Kai... you haven’t completely lost your mind, have you? You aren’t seriously planning a long-term transition into Hollywood acting?”

Kai raised an eyebrow. ”Your delivery sounds slightly unsupportive, Lorenzo. Are you modeling a scenario where my physical carriage lacks dramatic merit?”

Lorenzo’s mouth opened, but he couldn’t squeeze out a single syllable.

”Haha!” Kai couldn’t hold the serious mask any longer, breaking into a wide laugh. ”You both need to check your expressions in a mirror right now.”

”Relax, relax. I carry absolute zero personal interest in a Hollywood career.”

Nicolas leaned forward. ”Then why launch a studio casting play...?”

”Because of the immediate psychological effect,” Kai explained flatly. ”If my own management group reacts with this level of cognitive shock, the response from the paddock will match the trajectory.”

Nicolas’s strategic processing finally caught up. ”The entire play is a structured performance?”

Kai nodded. ”Exactly. A pure piece of misdirection. I have zero intention of signing a studio production contract, so LVMH’s name functions purely as a branding lever. I doubt Frédéric will mind the corporate exposure.”

”I need GQ’s editorial board to realize that their publication doesn’t hold an absolute monopoly over our commercial reach. We can find alternative performance breakthroughs across separate markets whenever we choose.”

”And if the layout causes Chris Hemsworth to lose his sleep, drop his operational delta, and run around his agency reps like a cornered animal trying to protect his casting leverage, that’s pure bonus equity. We get a front-row seat to an absolute circus performance, the kind of entertainment you can’t even buy on the Las Vegas strip.”

The shock receded, leaving Nicolas entirely dialed into the macro-strategy. ”The primary benefit is that the entire paddock’s analytical focus will lock onto your Hollywood profile.”

If an experienced agent and a veteran manager could be left completely speechless by the layout, the shockwave running through the top-tier garages back in Europe would be absolute. It would trigger total institutional panic.

Walking a single red carpet and shooting a style spread had already lit a fire under the media desks; launching an aggressive play for an A-list casting asset would completely shatter the paddock’s tracking models.

The rival teams would explode.

Nicolas looked at Lorenzo.

Lorenzo looked back.
