Eternal Thief

Ace finally gave up habilitating both sisters as they were too unreasonable and silently accepted his new ‘badass’ name.

Afterward, Zaria showed him his new accommodation, which he had to admit was quite lavish and unexpected. After all, there was an alchemy workshop, forge, and even a rune crafting workshop, and they were all equipped with at least ascension grade-5 equipment.

Although Zaria’s methods of ‘recruiting’ him were overbearing and unreasonable, he had to admit that despite her eccentric personality and foul mouth, she treated her people well, or maybe it was just enticement to keep him here.

Nonetheless, Ace was also warned about going anywhere else on the second floor without permission, especially the ‘herb garden,’ which was apparently Zaria’s ‘crib.’

As for Leah’s room, Zaria tricked the little girl by saying young ladies can’t bring men in their rooms, or they’ll get pregnant, making Ace speechless and fuming silently.

Although this sudden response made the little girl curious to no end since she had no idea what ‘pregnant’ meant, Zaria masterfully silenced her, which disappointed Leah and made her pout, but she finally dropped the matter of showing Ace her room.

Furthermore, Ace was also met with a subtle death glare and a smile from Zaria, which he clearly understood. Although Zaria might’ve made him stay because of Leah, she was clearly not going to let him be too close to her since Ace was simply too strange.

After all of this, Ace was finally left alone in this huge room and started to contemplate his next course of action.

Ace sat silently on a prying mat, and his eyes flashed sharply. ‘This entire place is covered in a powerful formation, and I’m sure that madwoman would be watching my every action.

‘Furthermore, even if I escape this place and return, that Raven guy might not allow me in again. Moreover, from what I can tell, that guy might even silence me to get rid of any variable.

‘The only chance is if Eleanor vouchs for me again, but would she?’ Ace mused as his expression was grave.

No matter how he looked at this situation, he knew he had missed a huge opportunity to get close to this group, which was potentially the Nightfall Ravenhood or at least related to it. It was all thanks to Zaria.

‘For now, I should wait and see how Raven would respond to his tracking spell being destroyed. Since he gave me a warning about killing me if I failed, let’s see what he’ll do now. This will also shed some light on Zaria’s power and background.

‘Since he gave me a month, I can safely assume whatever they are doing is still in processing stages…’ Ace thought as he looked at the forge room, ‘I should also complete the forging of 99 weapons in the meantime as well as the cauldron required for the next step since I’m sure no normal cauldron could handle 99 heavenly weapons!

‘There are only eight remaining weapons after my trip to the forger abyss. I should cultivate the Universal Ascension Black Physique as soon as possible since I need strength, whether it is getting away from here or getting close to that group.

‘It’s been a long time since I fell into this kind of situation…’ Ace’s lips curled slightly with a hint of nostalgia when he remembered his days in the Mortal Sky Heaven.

Zaria was sitting on a comfortable couch as she sucked on the tobacco pile and watched the projection screen in front of her, which showed Ace.

She watched Ace head towards the forge table and start taking out materials and tools.

She released a puff of white smoke as her charming eyes narrowed before her seductive lips curled slightly, “A forger, ehh? Since he came to Runic Forge City, it’s not strange for him to be a forger. But what were you doing at the entrance of the Western District?

“Since you come to this remote shop instead of entering those shit-fancy shops, you clearly have a goal. Furthermore, I can still not figure out what that strange aura on him, and Leah seemed completely won over by him, even willingly showing her room, which is akin to a sacred place for us, Felicity Amber Felines.

“Unless it’s our soulmate, we won’t let anyone else in such a place, and little Leah might be young. She’s also pure-blooded Felicity Amber Feline and would follow our instincts. Heck, even I have the urge to trust him…” Enjoy exclusive content from My Virtual Library Empire

Zaria’s eyes narrowed dangerously as a hint of killing intent flashed past her. “I need to make sure he’s a special case because if this is some unknown method of the human race to entrance magic beasts, they need to be dealt with. But do I have to care about what happened to magic beasts? Should I ask that Stinky Old Pervert?”

After thinking for a while, she shook her head and sneered, “If I approach him, he’ll think I’m helpless. Hmph! I’ll wait; it’s about time for his usual visits. I’ll let nature take its course. Let’s see how come after you because if no one shows…”

Zaria inhaled on her tobacco pile as she continues to observe Ace coldly, her thoughts were unknown!

At this moment, in a spacious hall, an extremely handsome man stood in front of a large window, staring at the lively city.

An enthralling woman in a white dress approached at this moment, making the man snap out of his stupor, and he pulled a gentle smile on his face.

“Are they ready?” He turned around and asked with a smile.

The woman’s eyes were calm as a summer lake as she nodded expressionlessly, “Yes, they were just waiting for this chance. It seemed the peace and justice you bring them is not enough.”

The man smiled wryly as he shook his head, “Do you still disapprove of our actions of expanding the Heavenly Justice Court? I need you to understand that the Beast Calamity Mountain and those old grand sects are nothing but tiny parts of the Mortal Ascension Heaven. Even if this land is liberated from sins and covered in justice and peace, it means nothing if there is still filth around us.”

“I understand; you don’t need to explain it to me, Your Holiness.” The woman curtly replied her expression still emotionless.

Heaven’s Advocate or Damien couldn’t help but sigh at Emmie’s lack of emotion, but he knew this was all his own doing.

He was about to say something when his expression went cold. He looked behind Emmie and said imposingly, “What is so important that you barge here like this?”

Just as his booming voice rang, a tall man in golden armor appeared and kneeled instantly before he said in a panic tone, “Forgive this servant’s intrusion, your holiness, but a mighty Qi signature has been detected entering the vicinity of the Heavenly Justice Court. Even your Heaven’s Eyes formation can’t see through his cultivation level, not to mention the other party seemed to have no attention to hiding its presence!”

When Damien heard this unexpected news, his eyes narrowed. He quickly said, “Who could this be?”

The armored man didn’t reply because he had no idea either. But at this moment, a terrifying aura suddenly enveloped the entire place, changing Damien’s expression while Emmie’s eyes went cold.

An imposing voice reverberated like a thunderclap throughout the entire Heavenly Justice Court.

“I’m Deputy Guardian of Prime Heavenly Bank, here to apprehend Heaven’s Advocate under the suspicion of colliding with a heinous criminal, Sky Stealer! I know you’re in there, so come out on your own peacefully, or I’ll flatten this entire place and drag you out!”

Damien’s expression changed before they turned comical after he heard ‘Sky Stealer,’ he was dumbfounded!
