Eternal Thief

The door opened, and a tall, slender man in white robes stood behind it. This man’s skin was pale, and he had a string of runic tattoos on the left side of his face, but the most eye-catching thing about him was that he was wearing a white blindfold.

Nonetheless, when Ace saw this blindfolded man, his expression was solemn because he could sense a terrifying aura hidden in his seemingly slim body. Ace also sensed a familiar sharpness.

‘He also has a sword heart! Ace became even more dignified, curious about whom this man was and why Eleanor had brought him here.

The blindfolded man also seemed to notice Ace, and despite not being able to see, Ace could feel a faint acuity of him.

But the blindfolded man only smiled faintly as he said to Eleanor, “It seemed your trip was quite fruitful, Miss. Please come in; others are waiting for you.”

“Of course. Who do you think I am?” Eleanor chuckled as she walked in, glancing at Ace, and said, “This is Ravenfang, an associate and an annoying paranoid guy. Ravenfang, this is Ace, and he’ll be working with us from now on,”

Ravenfang didn’t mind Eleanor calling him paranoid as he smiled gently and nodded towards Ace, “Sir Ace, it is an honor to meet a fellow practitioner.”

Ace smiled and nodded, “You’re too polite. It’s my honor to meet a senior here. Please call me Ace. I insist.”

“If that’s the case, then you have to call me Ravenfang. I might be stronger than you in cultivation, but our sword paths are on the same level,” Ravenfang solemnly stated.

Eleanor seemed surprised when she heard this and asked Aimless Sword, “The Sword path on the same level?”

She then looked at Ace with shock and asked, “You also have a sword heart?”

Ace could only nod as he smilingly said, “Yes.”

Eleanor was even more surprised after Ace confirmed it and looked at him deeply, “You’re full of surprises.”

Ace only smiled wryly. He wasn’t expecting to meet someone with a sword heart here, and it seemed that those with sword hearts could sense each other no matter the

difference in cultivation, which was quite surprising to Ace.

Ravenfang wasn’t surprised, either. He also knew this fact, so Eleanor’s ignorance was natural. However, he was also secretly shocked when he thought about how Ace was able to achieve the same realm in sword heart despite his cultivation base and age. This made Ace a terrifying sword genius even more than himself.

Afterward, they walked into the room and entered a spacious hall, where Ace saw four more people sitting. There were two women wearing veils and two men, and they were all extremely strong.

This was especially true for the man sitting alone in the top center of the table. He was wearing a faceless black mask, and only his long white hair and completely black eyes filled with vicissitude and wisdom were visible. Ace couldn’t even fathom what kind of cultivation he was hiding.

The white-haired man also noticed Ace and his eyes narrowed ever so slightly before he spoke in his heavy voice, “This is?”

Eleanor’s carefree demeanor changed as she respectfully replied, “Lord Raven, this Ace who I found in the AIG Sect on my trip to retrieve the certificate. Although I failed to find the Sky Stealer, Ace here is very capable despite his low cultivation base, and I think he’ll be able to carry out the task perfectly.”

‘What the hell is going on? What kind of mess this woman has dragged me into? No matter how I looked at this situation, it seemed like a meeting among criminals. Furthermore, from what just Eleanor said, her trip to the AIG Sect wasn’t instigated by the SAM King Valley but this Raven guy…’ Ace’s mind raced as he became more and more sure that Eleanor’s actions weren’t part of the SAM King Valley but an orchestrated plan of this group.

Furthermore, now that he thought about it more carefully, how did the SAM King Valley find out about the hidden certificate of the Runic King Palace in the Forger Abyss?

After all, if they had known all along, they would’ve retrieved it a long time ago. It made more sense if someone outside the SAM King Valley discovered it and then used Eleanor to get it without drawing any suspicion.

Furthermore, the certificate wasn’t the only target of these people; it was also the Sky Stealer, which made Ace wary yet curious about this group Eleanor was associated with.

Moreover, Ace noticed that while this Raven spoke, the others in the room were silent, so he was clearly the boss.

At this moment, Raven spoke again, “Oh, I want to hear what could’ve compelled you to trust him so much. After all, I want the Sky Stealer since he’s more qualified. But instead of looking for him, you brought this human and risked the exposure of our cause. It’s not that I don’t trust you, but I can’t just accept anyone without complete assurance.”

Eleanor expected this question and replied without hesitation, “Please be worry-free, Lord Raven, Ace is under the law contract’s restriction, and he can’t betray me or harm anything related to me.

“Furthermore, the law contract makes Ace my attendant; it does not make us equal. But because of this, I can’t reveal Ace’s secrets. Please give him a chance, and you’ll see why I didn’t bother searching for the Sky Stealer.

“Besides, Sky Stealer is too mysterious, and with how he can rob the bank branch alone, he might be even stronger than me. Even if I found him, I don’t think I can convince him to join us. So, Ace is the best replacement.”

At this moment, Ravenfang also speaks up, “Lord Raven, I think we should give Brother Ace here a chance. After all, he has a sword heart, not any weaker than mine.” Raven’s expression flashed with a powerful light when he heard Ravenfang’s words. He was clearly surprised and seemed to trust Ravenfang even more than Eleanor. Raven looked at Ace, and at this moment, Ace felt a terrifying law sense sweep over his body, making him almost shudder before it vanished. But in that vague moment, Ace was confirmed that Raven’s cultivation was far more profound than Eleanor’s; he was at least an Ascension Lord!

Raven finally spoke at this moment while still looking at Ace, “Since Ravenmind and Ravenfang vouch for you, I’ll give you a chance to prove yourself.”

The next moment, Raven flicked his finger, and Ace’s eyes contracted when he sensed the surrounding space twisted. The next moment, he was standing in front of the closed door and no longer inside the room.

Raven’s cold voice rang in his head, “Go to the western district of Runic Forge City and find a forge called the Trinity Lord Workshop. I want you to become a member of Trinity Lord Workshop in a month. If you fail, the next time you see me, I’ll be there to

take your life!”
