Eternal Thief

Eleanor quickly suppressed those strange and unknown feelings in her heart as she said in a grave tone, “How should I believe what you just said is true? After all, you are extremely strange, and I can’t even see through your methods at all.”

Ace didn’t seem flustered at all. He knew a woman like Eleanor would be extremely cautious, and he already had a plan.

He replied smilingly, “How about my lady and I sign a Law Contract? This way, you won’t have to worry about anything, right? Furthermore, since I’ve already decided to reveal myself, I think we can both benefit from this. I wonder if my lady is interested in working together with me?”

Eleanor suddenly felt joy when she heard Ace wanted to work with her, but her mind went blank, and she was secretly horrified, ‘What is happening to me? Is he using some manipulation spell on me?! No! It’s impossible. Not only is my cultivation extremely higher than his, but I also have a soul-defensive treasure that even an Ascension Lord can’t bypass.

‘So, why does he have this strange effect on me? It’s not like I haven’t seen charming men; even his ‘clone’ outside couldn’t affect me… he’s dangerous!

Eleanor’s eyes narrowed. Her cultivation and standing were extremely high, so she instantly found this situation strange. Yet despite that, her eyes never left Ace, and the way he looked at her in anticipation made her somewhat flustered.

“You’re quite bold for a mere Ascension Warrior. You want to work with me? What qualifications do you have? Of course, you still didn’t tell about that ‘clone’ of yours and what you trick the bank.” Eleanor’s voice was cold, yet a hint of curiosity shone in her eyes, “Of course, if you’re that Sky Stealer, that’ll explain everything, and I might be interested in working with you.”

“This woman is not easy to trick…’ Ace sighed in his heart, but he could also tell that Eleanor was greedy and decisive, or they wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Ace thought for a moment before he meaningfully said, “It seemed my lady is not afraid of getting associated with the Sky Stealer, huh?”

Eleanor sneered, “Why would I be afraid? As long as no one knows you are the Sky Stealer, and I make sure you won’t open your mouth, who could tell? After all, you seemed to have somehow convinced the Deputy Guardian that you aren’t Sky Stealer and even managed to earn yourself a spot in their ranks. I must say you’re impressive. “But it won’t work on me. Even if you’re not the Sky Stealer, you have something to do with him, or it might be that you’re the true mastermind behind everything, and Sky Stealer is your pawn!”

‘Her imagination is too wild…’ Ace smiled wryly before he replied, “You’re overthinking, my lady; I can assure you I’m not. Sky Stealer, and the reason Deputy Guardian let me off the hook was because I let him use soul search on me. Or do you think that a power like Prime Heavenly Wealth King Sect is filled with idiots?”

Eleanor was shocked as she looked at Ace with disbelief. Although his words were ridiculous, she suddenly felt it made sense since it was the only way Deputy Guardian would not only leave Ace alone but also recruit them into the sect.

However, she still couldn’t wrap her head around how Ace managed to escape the soul search unharmed.

At this moment, her eyes suddenly widened as she looked at Ace with a hint of shock, “That clone of yours… what is that ability exactly?”

Ace’s lips rose ever so slightly as he finally diverted her attention from Sky Stealer and brought her exactly where he wanted.

“You see, my lady, there was another reason the Deputy Guardian desperately wanted me to join the sect…” Ace solemnly revealed, “It’s because I have a mysterious human bloodline, and that clone is my bloodline ability!”

Eleanor was even more shocked now because she knew all the human bloodline inheritors of the human race, and none of them had this ‘clone’ ability. She looked at Ace with disbelief.

“You have a human bloodline of unknown origin? Do you think I’m a fool? There hasn’t been any new human bloodline in millions of years, and all the human bloodlines are greatly protected by the Human Race king sects!”

Ace chuckled at this moment with a hint of mockery, “Tell me, my lady, do you know the limit of Mortal Ascension Heaven? Have you been to every single domain or countless hidden secret realms?”

Eleanor was speechless and couldn’t retort to Ace since she knew what he was trying to imply.

Ace’s smile grew as he continued, “If not, then how could you believe that there are no human bloodlines other than the ones with the king sects? Even more importantly, if I’m not wrong, the Human Race’s King Sects should have millions of years of history, and I reckoned such a sect can’t be founded out of thin air, right? Can you confidently say that the history recorded or that history you are privy to is 100% correct? Even your sect elders won’t believe it, right?

“My bloodline origin is something even I don’t know, but I was warned that if I reveal it. the human race’s bloodline clans will come after me, why is that can you please answer me? Why would those bloodline clans try to get rid of me instead of welcoming a new human bloodline in their ranks? Can you confidently say otherwise?

“Let me be blunt here, and I’ll tell you why…” Ace’s eyes showed terrifying killing intent at this moment as he looked at Eleanor, who was completely speechless and somewhat gloomy.

“They would want to get rid of me because if a new human bloodline that is more powerful than theirs appeared, they’d lose their status and control over the human race!

“But since my ‘double’ is already on his way to join the Prime Heavenly Wealth King Sect, it won’t be long before the news spreads, and I’m sure those human bloodline clans won’t let this matter rest easily.

“However, they’ll be afraid to go against the bank because of its prestige and status, and my safety will be ensured completely. Well, it’s still not clear where I’ll be using a breeding machine to spread my bloodline as a cost.

“That’s why I use my ‘double’ to switch with my body to go with them, which, by the way, is as real as me, and I can only create one in my entire life with my bloodline

ability.

“Although my double can easily endure soul search, it’s still killable, and once it dies, I’ll never be able to create a new one. As for my disguise methods, they are also part of

my bloodline.

“Now, I told you everything, my lady, because…” Ace hesitated for a moment before he gently looked at Eleanor and said, “It’s b-because, for some reason, I felt I could trust

you. That’s why I want to work with you…”

Eleanor, who was attentively listening, suddenly felt her heart skip a beat before it beat wildly when she heard Ace’s last words.

But she quickly surpassed it again, but the redness on her forehead couldn’t be hidden. She promptly retorted, “S-shut up! This is all but your speculation! However, if you really have this unidentified human bloodline, you are qualified to become my underling. If you accept this arrangement, then let’s sign a law contract. I’ll keep your secret in return, and you have to work for me.

“If you perform well, you have a place beside me when I ascend to the position of Valley Lord. However, if you still do not appreciate my kindness, then you can forget about leaving here, and I’ll drag you back and hand you over to the Valley. At that time, your ‘fantasy’ might become reality!”

Eleanor’s attitude was unyielding, but she didn’t know that those words were precisely what Ace was waiting for.

Ace showed a hint of difficulty before he sighed in resignation and helplessly said, “It seemed it’s my fate to be a lowly person. But for the sake of survival, I’ll do it. Still, you have my thanks, my lady, for taking this lowly one in. Ace will be your most loyal follower from now on!”

Eleanor felt pity and sadness when she heard Ace’s sad voice, but she quickly got rid of those dangerous thoughts and showed a stratified smile, “Good, since you’re my underling now, I’ll reward you with one thing from this inheritance. You can choose yourself what you want!”

Ace was surprised, but when he thought about who Eleanor was, he didn’t find this strange since these things might be too low for her standards.

Ace’s eyes shimmered brightly as he quickly said, “If that’s the case, I can’t thank you enough for your generosity…!”
