Eternal Thief

Ace looked at Eleanor, who was suspicious of him and knew she didn’t believe him. But he wasn’t afraid; after all, if push came to shove, he’d just escape.

“My lady, why would I dare lie to you? If you are not convinced, you can check my belongings. I have nothing worthy to hide. I’m just trying to live here, nothing more, nothing less.” Ace bitterly sighed.

Eleanor looked at Ace deeply before saying, “I’ll give you another chance. If you reveal yourself, I might let you work for me. You should know that I’m from the King Sect, and my position in the sect is pretty influential, so I’m asking you one last time: who are you really?”

“Fufu- dear Steward, why don’t you just try to seduce her? With your appearance, I’m sure you have a high chance of succeeding. Especially with that flowery tongue of yours!” At this moment, Malservus’s playful voice rang in Ace’s head at this moment. Ace was speechless as he retorted, “I’m not a womanizer, and I don’t think it’s necessary.”

“Fufufu…” Malservus laughed as if she had heard the funniest joke ever, “And you call yourself a thief? It’s not about whether you’re a womanizer or not; it’s about taking advantage of the situation. I’ve been watching you for a while now, and I couldn’t help but notice that you always hide your face, which actually could be your biggest weapon, especially against women.

“But for some reason, you seemed to avoid exactly doing this, and instead, you go through so much trouble. You should know that ‘love’ is the most powerful weapon at your disposal, and a person in love, no matter how rational they are, might make mistakes that you can’t begin to imagine.

“But of course, it’s also a double-edged sword, and if you fall for it yourself, you can only blame yourself. However, I know you already have women that you love and cherish, and that’s why you avoid using these kinds of tactics.

“However, I’ll repeat it again, ‘love’ can be used as a weapon, and you know better than me that Heaven’s Stealer has a natural charm. Why do you think this is the case? Stop restraining yourself and only hide your appearance when you’re going to theft. This way, you don’t have to rely on your mask so much, which can easily be seen through by powerful cultivators.

“Lastly, if you continue to wear that mask and hide behind a different face, you might lose your true self one day and forget who you actually are. You’ll become a hollow walking corpse without any real emotions.

“A thief is despicable, a deceiver, even a merciless executioner, but a true thief knows who he is deep down. This is the only thing you’re lacking right now, and soon, it’ll become your biggest shackle!

“I respect your loyalty towards your women, but not taking advantage of this biggest weakness called ‘love’ is plain stupidity. Anyway, I’m just a bystander and only an advisor; whether you heed my advice is up to you.” Malservus solemnly yet

dismissively stated before she went silent that she no longer cared about what Ace thought about this.

However, she didn’t know she had struck a chord unknowingly. Ace’s eyes widened for a moment, and his heart skipped a beat because even the system had warned him about something like this.

Suddenly, a faint question rose in Ace’s heart, ‘Who am I? I’m a thief…, I’m Heaven’ Stealer…not, but Heaven’s Stealer is just a title, not the true me… W-who am I? Sky Stealer? No, NO, NO…’

Ace’s mind was shaken suddenly, and he was frightened before his eyes widened as he blurted out, “I’m Ace!”

“Oh… Ace?” Eleanor clearly heard Ace’s words, and she couldn’t help but narrow her eyes ever so slightly because she felt something was not right with Ace, and his demeanor seemed to have undergone a huge change.

Before, it lacked something, but now, all of a sudden, it changed as if this young man had grasped some kind of truth about himself.

“Ace…” Ace looked at Eleanor, his eyes glowing brightly as he nodded his head. His face began to change under Eleanor’s astounding glaze.

His body grew from 5’8 “to 6’4” tall, with a toned build and perfectly shaped muscles. His short hair also grew into long, inky black hair, which was even blacker than the black resting over his broad shoulder.

However, Eleanor’s eyes were affixed on his otherworldly handsome diamond-shaped pale white face, which, with a chiseled chin, emitted a threatening charm. His astute dark blue eyes and gentle smile suddenly made her heart skip a beat.

Although she had seen Ace’s appearance outside, she still felt the Ace in front of him now was far more handsome to a terrifying level than his avatar.

She was also right because this was Ace’s real body, which had a primordial cultivation base built with the Heaven’s Stealer cultivation technique, and his natural charm was

terrifying!

Ace sighed gently, but his smile left his face as he looked at Eleanor, who suddenly averted his eyes. She felt that if she didn’t, she would lose herself in those dark blue eyes, and a faint shade of redness surfaced on her fair face.

Ace’s smile grew slightly as he bowed and introduced himself, “I am…Ace, not Sky Stealer or George. I hope my lady won’t mind my previous discretion because I was just protecting myself.”

“Fufufu- now that’s what I’m talking about. Ace should have his own identity and personality, his own life, which means YOUR life! Only when you steal will you have other identities; you are Heaven’s Stealer, not a figurehead for the title; don’t let it consume you; instead, make it your own!” Malservus’s content voice rang, but there was a hint of apprehension because she felt that she had just released a monster from its cage.

“Thank you, master. If not for you, I would’ve really lost myself. Even I didn’t notice it… “Ace was really grateful to Malservus for warning him before it was too late.

Malservus didn’t say anything and remained silent as if she didn’t care for Ace’s gratitude. Ace didn’t mind, as only he knew what had just happened and its significance.

A dark lightning flashed past Ace’s determined eyes, ‘From now on, there will be a place for ‘Ace’ in this world!”
