Eternal Thief

A month later, in the portal hall of the Forger Abyss in the AIG Sect, the ten portals suddenly started to tremble and show violent fluctuations, alarming the overseer, Inner Court Flame Elder Zyon.

Other than Zyon, there was no one here because the higher-ups had closed off this area ever since Eleanor had entered the Forger Abyss. All activities were halted just in case someone would be blind enough to offend Eleanor. Another reason to isolate her was to keep her identity hidden from other disciples.

However, since there were many things to do, the hall masters, grand elders, and Vincent left the portal hall since Eleanor had not come out after a day.

Although everyone knew that Eleanor had her own goal of entering the Forger Abyss, no one could afford to offend her, so everyone had already prepared for the worst.

Now that the portals were showing such abnormality all of a sudden, Zyon knew the time had finally come, and he quickly alerted Vincent with a communication talisman he had left him.

Within a few seconds, Vincent’s figure appeared, and he wasn’t alone. Four other old men were beside him. They were naturally Grand Elder Edwin and Grand Elder Inez, and the two missing grand elders, Grand Elder Chester and Grand Elder Bernard, were also present.

These two grand elders only came back a week ago, and they seemed haggard and full of grievances after they came back from their ‘mission! However, both didn’t have a chance to get even with Vincent when they heard what had transpired in the sect and spirit inferno domain while they were away, which shocked the two old men to no end.

Furthermore, when they heard that Vincent’s disciple had gone to the King Sect behind the Prime Heavenly Bank, and he’ll be a disciple, they had no choice but to swallow their anger.

Grand Elder Bernard was especially shocked and gloomy, but he knew it would be very difficult to get rid of Vincent now that his disciple was in such a limelight. Not to mention, he also heard Ace had earned Vincent a chance to become an Ascension Lord, which made him so envious that he wanted to go on a rampage and even punish the entire Norberg clan, including his idiot Grandson Bert, for offending Ace.

Now, the Norberg Clan didn’t dare be overbearing, and they were all keeping a low profile. Even the top genius Nathaniel had become extremely humble now, but his once confident demeanor now seemed quite edgy and defeated.

After all, when Nathaniel learns about that ‘bumpkin’ getting accepted by the bank instead of being punished, he almost coughs blood, and even without any confrontation, Ace has completely defeated him.

But Nathaniel seemed extremely unwilling, and he seemed to visit Grand Elder Bernard quite often, and Vincent knew these two were hatching some kind of scheme.

But Vincent no longer cared about them since his horizons had broadened ever since that day. His only goal was to not waste the opportunity that Ace had earned him, to become an Ascension Lord, and to become Ace’s most powerful backup!

At this moment, they all saw the ten portals suddenly start to churn. They seemed to be getting closer to each other, and soon, they started to merge together, forming a bigger portal.

“What is going on?” Vincent asked in a stern tone as he narrowed his eyes in scrutiny. “Lady Eleanor seemed to have cleared the Forger Abyss.” The Guardian Spirit’s grave voice sounded in the hall, and everyone’s eyes widened in disbelief.

At this moment, the gigantic portal suddenly swirled, and the next moment, a graceful figure walked out with a veiled face and bright golden eyes that were extremely

charming yet dangerously cunning. It was, naturally, Eleanor.

When everyone saw her coming out, the Grand Elders quickly suppressed unwillingness in their hearts and concealed resentment in their eyes.

After all, the Forger Abyss was a very important place for the AIG Sect and a source of wealth. They knew there was a terrifying legacy hidden in this secret realm, but now that an outsider had claimed it instead of AIG Sect members, how could they be happy about it?

But knowing Eleanor’s background and, on top of that, her terrifying cultivation base at such a young age, they didn’t dare offend her.

Eleanor clearly sensed those Grand Elders’ emotions, but her eyes were on Vincent, who seemed expressionless and showed very few emotions as if he had already foreseen this event and was prepared.

Eleanor pulled a strange smile as she said, “I hope Sect Master can forgive me for taking the main inheritance of the Forger Abyss. It happened so quickly that I couldn’t stop it.”

Those Grand Elders were speechless but could only pull an ugly smile. They quickly congratulated her and praised her stiffly.

Vincent, on the other hand, shook his head as he sighed ruefully and said, “You’re too humble, Miss. The Forger Abyss has existed since the foundation of my sect, but to this day, no one has been able to claim its legacy, so we can only blame our own incompetence. Perhaps this legacy had no fate with my AIG Sect, and Miss should be the person it was meant to be.”

Eleanor’s eyes flashed with a strange light as she nodded, “No wonder you can cultivate a disciple like George, whom even the bank valued greatly. Sect Master sure knows how not to cling to things that are not meant to be yours.

“Still, I’m embarrassed for taking something from your sect. After all, AIG is part of Sun and Moon King Valley’s domain, so I’ll only take the main legacy, nothing else. “There are still many treasures and Ascension Guardian grade legacies in the secret realm, and on top of that, the secret realm itself is a treasure to create an excellent training ground for your sect and filled with countless natural resources.

“Now that the realm spirit is gone, I have the ownership of the secret realm, so I’ll transfer it to you. I hope this will be enough compensation for AIG Sect.” She casually stated as if it wasn’t a big deal.

The Grand Elders’ eyes instantly brightened when they heard it, and they became instantly thrilled. However, when they heard the ownership of this secret realm would be given to Vincent, which means that Vincent would also hold the key to the realm treasury, their expression stiffened again as they glanced at each other before they helplessly shook their heads.

Vincent was startled as he looked deeply at Eleanor. He could feel that there was something wrong with this entire situation. After all, even if the Sun and Moon King Valley didn’t place those treasures in the Forger Abyss in their eyes, for Eleanor, they were still quite precious, yet she was giving them away.

However, he couldn’t think of any good reason and could only take this as Eleanor’s kind nature, so he nodded, “Then I won’t be polite with Miss, and I thank you on behalf of the entire AIG Sect for your generosity. We’ll never forget the kindness Sun and Moon King Valley had shown us in our times of need.”

Eleanor chuckled as she meaningfully said to Vincent, “You just have a good disciple, Sect Master!”

Vincent’s eyes narrowed slightly. He knew Eleanor seemed very interested in Ace, but since he had been taken by Norman, she could do nothing, and he wouldn’t open his mouth about Ace’s secrets no matter what Eleanor did or offered in return.

But Eleanor didn’t ask anything and said, “Now, I’ll transfer the ownership of the Forger Abyss and be on my way since I have to report back to the sect as soon as

possible!”

Before Vincent could agree, Grand Elder Bernard suddenly spoke, “Your Excellency, I have something to say if you’ll allow me?”
