Eternal Thief

When Leah heard Zaria’s words, her mood instantly lifted, and her eyes lit up. She knew that if her big sister wanted to keep Ace, he had no choice but to comply, and Leah had yet to see anyone who could defy her sister. For Leah, Zaria was like a god capable of anything.

But Ace wasn’t as optimistic as the little girl. He had many other things to do and couldn’t comply with Zaria’s unreasonable demands. Since he had probably discovered the Nightfall Ravenhood and knew they were scheming something here, he couldn’t miss this chance to investigate them.

The problem was that Zaria was too strong, and if he wanted to escape this situation, there was only one way: to use the Body Sweep. But then he wouldn’t be in Runic Forge City, which would result in the same thing.

So Ace tried to reason with Zaria, who gravely said, “Look, miss. I respect your devotion to your sister, and I also like her. But you can’t keep me here with threats. I have a family and clan to look after, so I can’t stay here. I hope you understand this situation more clearly.”

Zaria didn’t seem too surprised by Ace’s rejection, but unexpectedly, she pulled a charming smile, giving Ace a very bad feeling.

“Family? Clan? Sect? How about this: Tell your family elder to meet me, and once he knows who I am, I can assure you they’ll beg me to take you in and even break your legs to make sure you won’t run away. So, if you have no other excuse, get to work!” she said matter-of-factly.

Ace was startled to hear this unexpected reply, but he could feel Zaria was extremely confident, which made him consider her identity even more.

“Come, Handsome Dog, Leah will teach you how to be a good shopkeeper!” Leah excitedly started to wave at Ace, clearly unbothered by the current situation.

‘Just what the hell did I get myself into? I just wanted some information!’ Ace was frustrated since this was his first time in this kind of situation, and what made him even more frustrated was that he didn’t even do anything.

“Just who are you?” He had to know who this madwoman could be so wanton in the Crown Domain.

Zaria grinned like a thug as she replied, “I’m the Lady Boss of the Feline Alchemy Shop; that’s who I am. So, move your ass and follow little Leah from now on. Oh, before this…”

Zaria then suddenly pointed her finger at Ace, and a sharp beam shot out towards Ace like a lightning bolt. Ace’s expression changed, and he was about to dodge it when he found himself struck to his place like a statue. He was horrified.

At this moment, the beam finally struck his body, but to Ace’s surprise, nothing happened.

However, at this moment, Ace felt a burning sensation on the back of his right palm, and he saw a white runic mark appear before it was instantly shattered!

“Fufufu, she destroyed the mark that guy left on you. What a wild cat, but I like her.” Malservus’s amusing voice rang as she was clearly enjoying herself seeing Ace in a miserable situation.

Ace’s eyes widened when he heard this, and he looked at Zaria with shock and a hint of anger.

“Since someone has left a tracking spell on you, this person is either your enemy or caretaker. Now that I destroyed it, he’ll come to investigate it here since he’ll know this was the last location where the marker vanished. Don’t worry, if it’s your enemy, I’ll help you kick his ass, but if it’s one of your family or whatever, I’ll be gentle and explain your situation.”

Zaria dismissively stated before she gave Ace a teasing look, “Oh, and I also left my own tracking spell on you. If you try to run away, I’ll beat your ass and drag you back. And don’t bother trying to find someone who can dispel it. That spell also has my spiritual mark, and as long as you are in the Crown Domain, no one will help you; they even deliver you to me with gifts.”

Ace’s expression darkened as he glared at Zaria. If not for the fact that he wasn’t a match for her, he might’ve stolen everything, even kidnapped Leah to teach her a lesson. But alas, the reality was harsh, and he had fallen into the hands of a tyrant. “Just, how strong is she? Since she can sense and even destroy Raven’s tracking spell, she had to be more powerful than him, right?” Ace asked Malservus.

“Of course, she is stronger than him. Furthermore, if I’m not wrong, both sisters should be descendants of an ancient magic beast called the Providence Lucky Cat! “But their bloodlines are extremely thin and diluted, only around 1% of Providence Lucky Cat, or trust me, even those old monsters back then would’ve gone crazy to get their hands on them.

“Still, they are both descendants of Providence Lucky Cat, and if you can tame them, yours and anyone associated with you, their luck will increase significantly. Because Providence Lucky Cat is the symbol of luck and fortune, only the mystical Pixiu can rival it.

“And if you can somehow make them evolve into true Providence Lucky Cats and then sleep with them, hehehehe, I don’t know if it’s their luck or yours, but this opportunity is something even Heaven’s Stealer covets, yet it falls into your lap just by you strolling around here. Tsk, tsk, I don’t know if you’re special among your predecessors or because the world’s rules have changed, you are very lucky…”

Ace was startled by this unexpected revelation, and his expression turned serious since he believed Malservus’s words. After all, she was an ancient existence that knew about Heaven’s Stealer, so she was really knowledgeable.

‘If that’s the case, should I try tricking this Zaria into joining the Thief’s House? This way, I don’t have to worry about her at all, but she still ruined my plans of dealing with the Nightfall Ravenhood, and I can’t go back like this.

‘Since I’ve seen them, they will definitely investigate what happened to the marker and make sure I’m dead to prevent their secret from escaping. So, I should wait and play along. Let’s see the Nightfall Ravenhood’s reaction to this and this woman’s true intentions and prowess.

‘If she’s as strong as I think she is and extraordinary as Malservus calming them, then she can only blame herself for scheming against me. Besides, if I can trick her into the thief’s house, with her connections and status, I won’t lose anything…’

At this point, Ace had already decided how to deal with this madwoman, but he wouldn’t let her join the thief’s house so quickly since every spot was precious, and he also had a method to escape her. This was just an option in case she turned out to be a valuable asset.

Ace took a deep breath and finally nodded with a hint of unwillingness, “Alright, you

win!”
