Chapter 1247: Chapter 1247:- The Goddess of War comes to Rescue

As the golden light slowly disappeared, the figure standing in front of Lilith and Amelia finally became visible. To their surprise, the person who had destroyed the two Beginner Sixth Order puppets and nearly killed their master with a single punch was none other than Freya, the Goddess of War.

At the moment, Freya was holding both of her katanas, and her entire body was covered in blood. Some of the blood belonged to her enemies, while the rest came from the injuries she had suffered during her earlier battle against Kaito Black. Although she had already consumed a Sixth Order healing potion, her injuries had not completely healed. However, thanks to the effects of her innate skill, she was still able to move and fight at an unbelievable speed.

A short while earlier, after killing Kaito Black, Freya had been moving through the battlefield and killing enemy soldiers at a terrifying speed. Wherever she went, soldiers continued falling to the ground, and almost nobody could even see her movements. Every swing of her katanas was enough to kill several enemies, and her number of kills continued increasing with every passing second.

However, while she was busy clearing the enemy soldiers, Freya suddenly noticed something unusual happening in another part of the battlefield. Using her powerful senses, she saw Lilith and Amelia fighting against two powerful puppets. At first, Freya did not think much of it, as both women were powerful Sixth Order cultivators who were more than capable of taking care of themselves.

But when she noticed that both Lilith and Amelia were struggling to defend themselves, Freya immediately became serious. She could clearly see that both women had suffered several injuries and that their movements were becoming slower and less accurate. Even more worrying was the fact that the two puppets were still attacking them without giving them any chance to recover.

Freya quickly understood that something was wrong. After all, she knew how powerful Lilith and Amelia were. Under normal circumstances, even if they were unable to defeat the two puppets, they should not have been struggling this badly against them.

When Freya saw one puppet preparing to capture Lilith while the other approached Amelia, she immediately decided to intervene. Without wasting even a single second, she turned toward their location and rushed forward with all her strength.

At that moment, her innate skill, 『War Goddess’s Last Stand』, was still active. Thanks to this skill, all her stats, except Mana, had temporarily increased by 300%. This included her Strength, Agility, Stamina, Defense, and other physical attributes, allowing her to move at a speed that was far beyond what she could normally achieve.

The moment Freya pushed her speed to the limit, her body turned into a golden flash of light. She moved through the battlefield so quickly that the surrounding soldiers could not even follow her movements with their eyes. By the time some of them noticed the golden light passing above their heads, Freya had already traveled hundreds of meters.

Even the Puppet Master, who was a powerful Sixth Order cultivator himself, had been unable to properly react to her arrival. Before he could understand what was happening, Freya had already reached his two puppets and destroyed them with her katanas.

And after destroying both puppets, Freya had immediately rushed toward the Puppet Master and punched him directly in the chest with all her strength. Because of the enormous increase in her physical stats, the force behind that punch had been so powerful that it shattered his entire rib cage and sent him flying more than one thousand meters away.

Everything had happened in such a short period that neither Lilith nor Amelia had been able to see Freya’s movements clearly. To them, it had looked as if a golden flash had suddenly appeared from the sky, destroyed their enemies, and then stopped directly in front of them.

Now that the golden light had disappeared, both women finally understood what had happened.

”Freya...? It was you?” Lilith asked in surprise while looking at the Goddess of War standing before her.

Amelia was equally shocked. She had known that Freya was extremely powerful, but the speed and strength she had just displayed were far beyond what Amelia had expected.

Freya, however, did not appear particularly interested in their shocked expressions. Instead, she turned around and looked at the two injured women, noticing the blood flowing from several wounds across their bodies.

”I noticed that both of you were in trouble, so I came to help. But what happened to you two? Those puppets were strong, but they shouldn’t have been enough to put both of you in such a terrible condition.” Freya asked while looking at them with a serious expression.

Hearing Freya’s question, Lilith and Amelia briefly explained what had happened during their fight against the Puppet Master. They told her how the man had used two powerful puppets to fight against them and how both puppets had worked together so well that they had struggled to defend themselves.

However, the main problem was not the puppets themselves, but the two strange powders that had entered their bodies through the wounds caused by the puppets’ blades.

After hearing their explanations and understanding their situations, Freya’s expression immediately became serious. She looked at the injuries covering their bodies before glancing toward the battlefield, where hundreds of thousands of soldiers were still fighting against each other.

Although Freya did not know exactly what kind of powders the Puppet Master had used, she could easily understand how dangerous their current condition was. Both Lilith and Amelia were powerful Sixth Order cultivators, but their strength would mean very little if they could not properly control their abilities or concentrate on their enemies.

Furthermore, with so many soldiers fighting around them, even a small mistake could lead to serious consequences. If Amelia suddenly lost control of her roots, she might end up killing soldiers from their own faction. Similarly, if Lilith became unable to concentrate because of the strange powder affecting her body, she would become an easy target for the enemy’s powerful cultivators.

”You two should immediately return to the base and recover. The battlefield isn’t a place for you to stay right now. Whatever those powders are, their effects are clearly getting stronger. You need to find a way to remove them from your bodies before thinking about fighting again.” Freya said with a serious expression.

Hearing this, both Lilith and Amelia immediately wanted to protest. After all, the battle had only just begun, and neither woman wanted to leave the battlefield while their soldiers were still risking their lives against the Emperor Faction.

”But Freya, we can’t just leave when....” Lilith began speaking, but before she could finish her sentence, Freya had already moved.

Without giving either woman a chance to protest, Freya quickly stepped forward and grabbed Lilith with one arm and Amelia with the other. Both women were caught completely off guard by her sudden movement, and before they could even understand what she was planning to do, Freya had already tightened her grip around them.

”Save your strength. You two are in no condition to argue with me right now.” Freya said while preparing to move.

In the next instant, Freya pushed her speed to the limit once again. Thanks to the effects of 『War Goddess’s Last Stand』, all her physical stats except Mana were still increased by 300%, allowing her to move at an unbelievable speed even while carrying both women.

SWOOOOOOOOOSH!!!!

Freya disappeared from her position along with Lilith and Amelia, leaving behind only a powerful gust of wind. Her movements were so fast that the nearby soldiers did not even notice that the three women had disappeared until they were already gone.

In just a fraction of a second, Freya had already travelled a great distance from their previous position. Holding both women firmly, she continued moving toward the Anti-Emperor Faction’s base.

Meanwhile, more than one thousand meters away from where Freya had fought against the Puppet Master, the man was still lying at the center of the large crater created by his crash. Although he had suffered extremely serious injuries, he was not dead yet.

After all, he was a powerful Sixth Order cultivator, and his body was much stronger than that of an ordinary person. However, the punch he had received from Freya had been so powerful that almost every bone in his chest had been shattered.

The Puppet Master was having great difficulty breathing. Every time he tried to move his body, terrible pain spread through his chest. Blood continued flowing from his mouth, and he could barely move his arms. He knew that if he did not treat his injuries immediately, his condition would only become worse.

Without wasting any more time, the Puppet Master used his remaining strength to take out a Sixth Order healing potion from his storage ring. His hands were trembling so badly that he almost dropped the small bottle. After struggling for a few seconds, he finally managed to remove its cap and bring the bottle to his mouth.

He immediately drank the entire potion without leaving a single drop behind. As the powerful healing liquid entered his body, a warm feeling began spreading through his chest. The bleeding from his internal injuries slowly began to stop, while the shattered bones inside his rib cage started recovering.

Although the healing potion could not instantly restore his body to its original condition, it was powerful enough to save his life and begin repairing his serious injuries.

”Damn it! Who the hell was that woman? How could someone possess such terrifying physical strength?” The Puppet Master cursed while slowly trying to sit up.

Even now, he could clearly remember the moment that fist had struck his chest. He had not even been able to see the attack properly, let alone defend himself against it. What frightened him even more was that his two Beginner Sixth Order puppets had been completely destroyed before he could even react.

Just thinking about the enormous amount of resources and time he had spent creating those two puppets made his expression turn ugly.

”Those two puppets took me decades to complete! Decades! And that monster destroyed them in less than a second!” The Puppet Master muttered angrily while looking down at his injured chest.

However, despite his anger, he had no intention of going back to fight the mysterious woman. He had already experienced her terrifying strength once, and he had no desire to experience it again.

For now, his only goal was to recover enough strength to escape from the battlefield. But just as he was about to take out another healing potion, he suddenly sensed someone approaching his position from above.
