Divine Emperor Demon Emperor

Chapter 388: Chapter 388: Beaten into a Daze

Pushed onto the back foot for a moment, Lin Yun was caught off guard. The youth seized the opening, his sword slicing across Lin Yun’s arm. Blood gushed anew from the arm of the already heavily-wounded Lin Yun.

Having injured Lin Yun in one strike, the youth’s confidence soared. After taking the Burning Essence Pill, he felt a level of Combat Power he had never experienced before. At this moment, the youth was certain he would be able to slay Lin Yun with his sword today.

”Haha! Today is the day you die! If you have anyone to blame, blame yourself for being a Disciple of the Flawless Palace,” the youth roared with laughter.

Looking at the youth’s wild smile, Lin Yun remained silent. The recent exchange had made him aware of the gap between them. ’It seems the War God Transformation alone isn’t enough,’ he thought. ’After all, my Cultivation is still a bit too low.’

”If that’s the case... Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool,” Lin Yun uttered in a low voice. Instantly, the hundred-meter area around him transformed into a crimson Blood Pool.

It was as if the blood was suspended in mid-air. The youth, standing within the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool, felt his feet slowly being swallowed by it.

”What is this...?” The youth couldn’t react right away, having never seen such a Martial Skill before.

It wasn’t just the youth. Even the hidden Supreme Elder from the Flawless Palace was looking at Lin Yun in utter shock. He, too, had never seen such a Martial Skill.

”The one who dies today won’t be me. It will be you,” Lin Yun growled. With both the War God Transformation and the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool active, he was on a tight clock and had no time to waste.

He attacked the youth in an instant. Standing within the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool, the youth found his movements severely restricted. The blood in the Blood Pool was viscous, like glue, clinging stubbornly to his legs.

Forced to deal with both Lin Yun’s assault and the restraints of the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool, the youth, who had just held a clear advantage, now found himself being relentlessly pursued and beaten by Lin Yun.

After another exchange of blows, the youth gradually noticed another problem: his blood qi and Elemental Power were being rapidly drained.

Having already taken a Burning Essence Pill, his Elemental Power and blood qi were constantly being burned away. Now that they were also being absorbed by the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool, the youth quickly realized something was terribly wrong.

’What kind of Martial Skill is this? It can actually absorb a person’s Elemental Power and blood qi?’ he thought in alarm. His reserves were already being rapidly consumed by the Burning Essence Pill. With the added drain from the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool, he knew he couldn’t last much longer.

”Damn it! What kind of Demon Technique are you using?” he roared at Lin Yun, turning to flee toward the edge of the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool.

The Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool was not very large at present, only a hundred square meters in area. Seeing the youth attempt to escape, Lin Yun was obviously not going to let him succeed.

”I told you, you’re the one dying today!” Lin Yun bellowed, quickly giving chase. He aimed for the youth’s back and thrust the Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear forward fiercely.

Left with no other choice, the youth was forced to turn and defend himself. In that brief moment, Lin Yun closed the distance, refusing to give him any chance to escape.

With the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool in effect, their situations were reversed. Lin Yun now held the advantage, while the youth grew more desperate the longer he fought, his Elemental Power and blood qi rapidly depleting.

Growing bolder as the battle continued, Lin Yun seized an opening and pierced the youth’s arm with his spear. The youth had barely managed to avoid a vital point; otherwise, the spear would have gone straight through his shoulder.

At this point in the battle, both Lin Yun and the youth had used every trick up their sleeves. Lin Yun had unleashed both his War God Transformation and the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool, and now, his own Elemental Power was also rapidly draining.

The battle raged fiercely. Lin Yun attacked relentlessly, while the youth could only defend himself. After all, the restraints of the Demon Emperor’s Blood Pool had significantly slowed him down.

After forty breaths, Lin Yun’s Elemental Power was nearly exhausted, as was the youth’s. The two of them fell toward the ground at almost the same moment.

Without any Elemental Power left in their bodies, they could no longer maintain their Sky Control flight.

They landed simultaneously, both of their bodies completely drained of Elemental Power. But just as the situation seemed to have reached a stalemate, a wicked smile spread across Lin Yun’s face.

With neither of them having any Elemental Power left, the fight would now become a purely physical battle. And when it came to a contest of raw physical strength, Lin Yun had never been afraid of anyone.

”Kid, you got lucky today. I will hunt you down and kill you in the future,” the youth said viciously, looking at Lin Yun. He was at the end of his rope.

”I am lucky today. You, however, are not,” Lin Yun sneered, throwing a punch straight at the youth.

”You’re out of Elemental Power too. We’re both completely spent. Do you really think you can still kill me?” the youth sneered as he saw Lin Yun’s punch coming.

However, the moment Lin Yun’s fist met his, the sneer on the youth’s face instantly froze.

’What kind of fucking body is this? It’s like he’s made of steel!’ With just a single touch, a CRACKING sound echoed from the youth’s arm. The bones within had been shattered by the impact of Lin Yun’s punch.

”Flawless Flesh Body... You’ve actually cultivated a Flawless Flesh Body...!” Only then did the youth remember the Flawless Palace’s signature Flawless Flesh Body.

With both of them out of Elemental Power, all they had left was their physical strength. And in the entire Eastern Domain, who would dare to compete in a battle of pure physicality against someone from the Flawless Palace? Especially a Disciple who had cultivated the Flawless Flesh Body.

”Now where are you going to run?” Having landed a successful blow, Lin Yun pressed his attack.

Facing this Lin Yun, the youth didn’t dare to fight him head-on. He hastily swallowed a Three-Stars Qi Essence Pill. A chase ensued, with the youth focused only on fleeing, not daring to confront Lin Yun at all.

As the chase continued, the youth didn’t dare to block any of Lin Yun’s attacks with his body. He could only rely on the Spirit Soldier in his hand to parry the blows he couldn’t dodge.

However, after just a few more clashes, the arm with which the youth held his Spirit Soldier began to tremble, and his entire hand felt numb.

Lin Yun thrust his spear again. Unable to dodge, the youth could only grit his teeth and raise his Spirit Soldier to defend. But when the Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear collided with his Longsword, the youth’s arm jolted, and the Longsword was sent flying from his grasp.

His last line of defense was knocked away by Lin Yun. Now bare-handed, the youth’s heart sank to the pit of his stomach.

A wide, wicked smile spread across his face. Lin Yun put away his Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear, rushed forward, and began to give the youth a brutal beating.

With no Elemental Power and an enormous gap between their physical strengths, the youth was so furious he wanted to scream. Originally, he and Lin Yun had been evenly matched, but without Elemental Power, it was nothing more than a one-sided thrashing.

”Taiqing Academy, huh? You wanted to rob me, right? Go on, try and rob me now! Let’s see you try! Today, I’m going to teach you a lesson about your own damn limits! How dare you try to rob me!” Lin Yun cursed as he punched.

Right now, Lin Yun looked less like a Martial Artist and more like a street thug. Every punch that landed made the young man howl in pain.

Their physical bodies were on completely different levels. Now that Lin Yun had caught him, there was no question it would be a savage beating. The youth could do nothing but get beaten senseless as Lin Yun pursued him relentlessly.
