Divine Emperor Demon Emperor

Chapter 361: Chapter 361: Blocking the Door?

For a full twenty-odd days, Lin Yun’s Purple Mist Seal progressed rapidly. By now, his Purple Mist Seal was faintly touching the threshold of True Intent.

On this day, Lin Yun did not continue cultivating. Counting the days, he realized he only had three days left before he had to go to Jincheng. Lin Yun planned to spend some quality time with Lu Bingning and Lan Xi, and also to tell them that he might be away for a while.

Taking Little Ape with him, Lin Yun headed towards the Direct Disciple area.

The entire Direct Disciple area wasn’t far from where Lin Yun lived. Direct Disciples were disciples of the Main Seat Elders, so they naturally lived with their masters. However, each of these Direct Disciples had their own small courtyard. ℯℯ𝑙.

The courtyards of Lu Bingning, Lan Xi, and Puzhu were right next to each other. Puzhu’s courtyard was much larger, while Lu Bingning’s and Lan Xi’s were relatively smaller, but still more than enough for the two women to live in, and the environment was quite nice.

Arriving at the gate of Puzhu’s courtyard, Lin Yun thought to himself, ’I’m already at the gate, so I should go in and pay my respects. After all, Puzhu has been good to me, and he’s also Lu Bingning and Lan Xi’s master.’

He knocked on the courtyard gate. A maid of Puzhu’s opened the door and asked, ”And you are?”

”I am Lin Yun. I’ve come specifically to visit Elder Puzhu,” Lin Yun replied politely.

Hearing Lin Yun’s reply, the maid was slightly taken aback at first, then said with some excitement, ”So you’re Lin Yun? You’re finally here.”

Seeing the maid’s somewhat excited expression, Lin Yun was a little confused. ’What does she mean, ’finally here’?’

Seeing Lin Yun’s reaction, the maid whispered to him, ”You don’t know, but for the past few days, Miss Lu and Miss Lan have been blocked in their home. Different people have been standing guard at their door every day...”

As he listened to the maid’s explanation, Lin Yun’s eyes turned cold. ’Blocking their door? How dare these Direct Disciples be so blatant?’

”Who are they?” Lin Yun asked calmly.

”They are subordinates of Senior Brother Zhang, Senior Brother Li, and Senior Brother Tian, from the top tier of the Direct Disciples,” the maid replied.

”How dare they be so blatant? Isn’t Elder Puzhu going to do anything? Aren’t the other Main Seat Elders going to do anything?” Lin Yun didn’t understand where these people got the audacity to block someone’s door right at their home.

”There’s something you don’t know. The Elder has been away from the palace for the past two days. As for the other Main Seat Elders, they’re afraid of the people behind Senior Brother Zhang and the others.”

”The people behind them?”

”Yes. Actually, this whole thing was ordered by Senior Brother Gong Lingqi and Senior Brother Chang Jing. Both of them are Core Disciples, and even among the Ten Core Disciples, they are the most powerful. You could say they are idols to all the disciples of Flawless Palace...”

According to the maid, the three Direct Disciples—Senior Brother Zhang and the others—were subordinates of Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing. Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing were currently away from the palace on a mission.

But somehow, word about Lin Yun reached their ears. They quickly sent a message to Senior Brother Zhang and the other two, ordering them to keep a close watch on Lu Bingning and Lan Xi, forbid them from meeting with Lin Yun, and wait for their return to deal with Lin Yun.

Because they knew the masterminds behind all this were Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing, many of the Main Seat Elders chose to turn a blind eye. After all, the status of those two in Flawless Palace was even higher than their own as Main Seat Elders.

Before Lin Yun arrived, everyone in Flawless Palace firmly believed that Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing were the two most talented individuals. Both were geniuses with monstrous talent. Some even predicted that in the future, if they didn’t become the Master of Flawless Palace, they would at least become Supreme Elders.

Therefore, not even the Main Seat Elders wanted to interfere with what these two wanted to do, especially since Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing hadn’t actually harmed Lu Bingning and Lan Xi, but had merely placed them under a form of house arrest.

It turned out these were the same two Core Disciples who had been relentlessly pursuing Lu Bingning and Lan Xi. They were also the ones who had called Lin Yun a coward. Of the two, Gong Lingqi was interested in Lu Bingning, while Chang Jing was after Lan Xi.

Both of them were extremely domineering. In their world, any woman they set their sights on had no right to refuse.

They had even said in private that after they succeeded in getting Lu Bingning and the other woman, they would swap them.

It had to be said that they were two arrogant, domineering, and disgusting men. But none of that mattered now, because they had provoked Lin Yun. They had touched his reverse scale.

A dragon has a reverse scale; touch it and die. Lin Yun’s domineering nature was no less than theirs, and the pride in his heart even more so. Lin Yun’s pride and dominance emanated from the very marrow of his bones.

”Very good. Gong Lingqi... Chang Jing...” With a cold sneer, Lin Yun committed their names to memory. They had thoroughly enraged him. This was no longer just a matter of them trying to steal his women.

Lin Yun himself would never let Lu Bingning or Lan Xi suffer in the slightest. To think that these two bastards had dared to place them under house arrest, and even forbid the women from seeing him. ’Is this an open robbery?’

Sneering, Lin Yun strode toward Lu Bingning and Lan Xi’s courtyard.

Lu Bingning and Lan Xi’s courtyard was right next to Puzhu’s. Just around a corner, he could see the entrance to the two women’s courtyard.

A few steps brought him before their courtyard, and just as he expected, Lin Yun saw more than ten Direct Disciples standing guard at the gate.

Looking at their Cultivation, most were at the Fourth or Fifth Layer of the Primordial Ocean Realm. There were three at the Sixth Layer, and one at the Seventh Layer.

But right now, it didn’t matter what layer of the Primordial Ocean Realm they were at. Before Lin Yun, it was all useless. Besides, Lin Yun had no intention of wasting words on them. These bastards simply deserved to die.

If they weren’t in Flawless Palace right now, Lin Yun would have undoubtedly killed these guys on the spot.

”Little Ape, attack. Beat them mercilessly. Cripple all their limbs for me,” he said to Little Ape on his shoulder.

Knowing that Lin Yun was now thoroughly enraged and didn’t even want to speak another word, the Evil Qi around Little Ape’s body gradually began to rise.

”Kid, what are you doing? This isn’t a place for you to be. We’re Senior Brother Zhang’s men,” one of the Direct Disciples shouted, seeing Lin Yun approaching step by step.

But the moment the words left his mouth, he was answered not by Lin Yun, but by Little Ape, who had instantly transformed to become over three meters tall.

Covered in blood-red fur, a terrifying Evil Qi surged into the sky. The aura alone was enough to frighten the crowd of Direct Disciples. ’What kind of Demon Beast is that?’

”Kid, what do you think you’re doing? I’m telling you, you’ll come to a bad end if you offend us.”

”Kid, if you know what’s good for you, get lost. We’re men of Senior Brother Zhang, Senior Brother Li, and Senior Brother Tian. Offending us in Flawless Palace is the same as courting death.”

These people could already see that Lin Yun had come looking for trouble. One by one, they stared warily at Little Ape while continuing to spout threats.

However, were their threats of any use? Obviously not. Never mind Senior Brother Zhang or Senior Brother Li; even if Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing themselves were here, Lin Yun would not be leaving today.

”Get ’em,” Lin Yun barked in a low voice. As his words fell, a bloodthirsty smile spread across Little Ape’s face, and it charged directly at the group.
