Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 100: Chapter 69: Though a Myriad Stand in My Way, I Forge Ahead (Second Update)

The crazy girl was pushed to the wall, heart pounding as she watched the chaos, and with a crying tone she said to Joyce Shaw on the other end of the phone, ”It’s over! It’s over! Lawrence has been pushed to the ground... so many people... so many people...”

From her perspective, she could only see Lawrence Winters getting pushed down, the banner being torn into shreds, and her signs and megaphone being forcibly snatched and stomped flat.

Someone even took advantage of the chaos to give her a ferocious kick.

While Lawrence Winters lay on the ground, hugging her head tightly curled up, making every effort to protect her vital areas, she appeared calm and collected, very professional.

The crazy girl, having never experienced such an incident, immediately panicked, desperately shouting amidst the crowd, ”Something’s happened! Something’s happened! Stop it! I’m calling the police!”

Through the phone screen, Joyce Shaw’s face turned pale, and she said sternly, ”Ah Chu! Stop talking! Quickly find a safe place to hide and then call the police!”

Kenneth Osborne’s face darkened. He immediately stood up, didn’t even put on a coat, opened the door, and dashed out as swift as the wind.

Understanding his intentions, Joyce quickly told the crazy girl on the other end of the phone, ”We’re on our way!”

And then she staggered after Kenneth Osborne, her heart pounding so hard it felt it might jump out of her throat.

While the crazy girl was in a panic, Lucas Harlow and his assistant also caught sight of what was happening.

Lucas Harlow frowned; he couldn’t just watch those people get violent with this young girl.

Let alone the fact that this young girl is currently his only fan, even if she weren’t, just an irrelevant bystander, leaving her would be unacceptable.

Lucas Harlow swiftly rushed into the crowd.

He seemed quite adept, maneuvering quickly through the crowd, swiftly reaching Lawrence Winters, discreetly pushing away those who were kicking her, picking her up from the ground and holding her protectively as he swiftly retreated to a safe spot where the airport security was stationed.

Then he quietly turned and left.

...

Lawrence Winters had never expected to encounter such a scene while simply following a celebrity.

Weren’t these big names supposed to be model young adults of virtue?

This is just too vile!

Life in the World... Life in the World indeed!

Knowing well those people did this deliberately because they couldn’t match her in competition, she had single-handedly won against these thousands of fans, but she couldn’t swallow this insult!

Fortunately, every cloud has a silver lining, didn’t a kind-hearted person come to her rescue?

After stabilizing herself behind the airport’s middle-aged security guard, Lawrence Winters quickly looked around for the stranger who had just rescued her.

But as soon as she stuck her head out, that person’s back was already obscured by the bustling crowd.

She didn’t even get a clear look at what clothes they were wearing.

Just as she sighed, the crazy girl squeezed to her side, crying and holding her shoulder, ”Lawrence, are you alright? I saw those people kicking you, it was terrifying! Thank heaven someone got you out!”

”If no one had saved you! I really don’t know what would’ve happened!”

The crazy girl had been an obedient child since she was small, with excellent grades, growing up sheltered by her parents and teachers.

Her only rebellion might have been the non-disclosed online romances she kept playing along with people online.

This was her first time facing the other side of the society.

Lawrence Winters, however, had seen a lot more than the crazy girl.

You name it, from being pushed to the ground and trampled on to even being pursued and attempted to be killed... she had encountered it all.

Having practiced feng shui with her uncle for years, she was not at all unfamiliar with this.

So instead, she comforted the crazy girl, ”Crazy girl, it’s alright now... this is just a small scene... this is in broad daylight, you think they can get away with this?”

Lawrence Winters’s eyes were resolute and cunning, ”There are cameras everywhere here, I will call the police, demand them to pull out the surveillance, anyone kicking, hitting, or trampling on me, will have to face justice!”

Causing trouble at the airport, whoever came up with this rotten idea.

”Hmph! Some celebrity’s popularity is about to drop... if they’re involved, watch me peel off their skin piece by piece!”

Lawrence Winters nonchalantly waved her hand, harboring an indomitable spirit akin to ”Though a thousand men, I shall go on.”

The crazy girl hurriedly said, ”I already called the police! They’re coming right away!”

And she wasn’t wrong, following the police were Joyce Shaw and Kenneth Osborne.

The police were the first to arrive.

A group of them came driving in a police car, the blaring sirens quickly arrived at the scene, rapidly getting the situation under control.

The few airport security personnel stood no chance given such a large number of fans, unable to manage before the police arrived.

And those top-tier celebrities hero and heroine swiftly put on masks and hid behind their managers.

For them to reach top popularity status, naturally there was powerful capital backing behind them.
