Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 96: Chapter 67: Losing the Game but Not the Spirit (Third Update)

When the game ended, the entire gymnasium was filled with a strong rhythmic BGM.

The computer science guys who won the game waved to the students in the gymnasium like triumphant generals returning home.

Kenneth Osborne stood among them, his face glistening with sweat, exuding so much heat that any girl who glanced at him felt like her hormones were about to explode.

Because Kenneth Osborne frequently glanced over at Lawrence Winters, a girl next to Lawrence jumped up and down excitedly but suddenly grabbed onto the back of the seat in front and froze, standing in an especially awkward posture.

Lawrence Winters noticed her odd stance and looked at her suspiciously, ”What’s wrong with you? Are you okay?”

Hoping she wouldn’t have a stroke on the spot, Lawrence cautiously moved aside, not wanting to get into a sticky situation.

She would never help those old grandpas or grandmas who fell, and the same goes for young people; at most, she’d call an ambulance.

The girl, blushing, angrily said: ”... Damn! I haven’t had my period in two months, and today when I saw scholar Kenneth smile at me, my period decided to invade! Can you help me check behind, if there’s a stain...”

Lawrence’s mouth twitched, quickly glancing at the back of the girl.

The girl was wearing light-colored pants, relatively thin, and sure enough, there was a faint bloodstain visible.

Lawrence whispered a suggestion: ”... Take off your jacket and tie it around your waist.”

The girl understood, hurriedly took off her sports jacket, and tied the sleeves around her waist, looking spirited, stylish, and a bit rebellious.

She smiled and gave Lawrence a thumbs up, then quickly squeezed out to return to the dormitory.

Crazier Girl tugged at Lawrence Winters, saying, ”What are you doing? Look, they’ve finished the game, let’s go give them something.”

Just now, Joyce Shaw was also on the court; he was a guard, not as eye-catching as center Kenneth Osborne.

Yet, he too wore the computer science department’s dominant color basketball uniform, looking more handsome than usual.

Lawrence Winters noticed that the two basketball teams on the court were already surrounded by girls.

Both of them were public relations students; logically, they should go comfort the public relations team who just lost badly.

Unfortunately, the two were not familiar with the guys on the public relations basketball team, but were rather more familiar with the two players from the computer science department.

”Let’s go, I’ll take you over there.” Crazier Girl gave her a wink and squeezed towards the edge of the basketball court.

By now, the players from both teams had already sat down by the court.

There were the most girls around Joyce Shaw and Kenneth Osborne.

Some held bottled water, some sports drinks, others had white sweat towels, and some even had roses and teddy bears, trying to give them to Kenneth and Joyce.

Joyce, grinning, refused everyone, saying, ”My girlfriend’s here, please make way.”

The girls all turned, seeing Crazier Girl struggling with a bottle of water and a white sports towel to get through.

Joyce quickly helped push the crowd away so Crazier Girl could come into the circle.

He took the water from her hand, drank a sip, then leaned towards her, saying, ”Help me wipe off the sweat.”

The intention to claim his territory was quite clear.

Crazier Girl understood too, but she had never publicly displayed affection before, so her hands trembled while wiping the sweat.

The surrounding girls understood Joyce’s hint and giggling, continued to enjoy the public display of affection.

There were even more people surrounding Kenneth Osborne.

He was sitting alone on a long bench, stretching his long legs, with a smile on his face, occasionally chatting with the girls surrounding him, maintaining a friendly yet distant demeanor, casual and dashing.

If not for the sweat all over his face and body, you could hardly tell he had just gone through an intense basketball game.

Though he seemed easygoing and approachable, just like Joyce, he didn’t accept anything from anyone.

The things those girls brought were even more than Joyce’s side, all ignored by Kenneth Osborne.

Lawrence Winters squeezed through for some time before arriving at the outer area near Kenneth Osborne.

The crowd was packed so tightly she had to use her small stature to maneuver through, finally making her way to the inner circle, right up to where Kenneth was sitting on the bench.

”Nora, you’re here.” Kenneth stood up naturally, accepted the towel to wipe his sweat from her hands, wiped his face, then took the water from her, drank a sip.

Lawrence opened her mouth, intending to say that was her own water and she had already drunk half of it...

But Kenneth didn’t seem to care at all.

After drinking, he smiled and nodded at the girls around, ”Please make way, we are leaving now.”
