Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 99: Chapter 68: An Army of One

The wild fan girl was so embarrassed she wished she could find a hole in the ground to crawl into.

Lawrence Winters, however, was delighted. She switched hands holding the small loudspeaker and banner, while raising the stand sign high with the other hand. Her momentum was overwhelming, as if one person was worth a thousand troops!

The banner was adorned with the most heartfelt cursive saying, ”Lucas, feel free to fly! Ilan, I’m forever with you!” (Ilan, sounding like ”Love Lucas”).

The backside was signed #Lucas Harlow Fan Group—Lawrence Yinou’s Promise#!

The banner also featured an animated avatar of Lucas Harlow, along with seven or eight tiny animated avatars of Lawrence Winters, all copied and pasted, surrounding the Lucas Harlow avatar, giving the impression of having numerous fans.

Upon closer inspection, all those fans were actually just one person...

The wild fan girl couldn’t bear to look directly at this colorful banner and lamented into her phone camera: ”I must say, fans mirror their idols. Look at Lawrence Yinou’s animated avatar, it almost perfectly resembles Lucas’ animated portrait.”

On the other side, Joyce Shaw was laughing so hard that she started pounding the table and even pulled Kenneth Osborne over to watch.

”Damn! Kenneth, your little fellow’s antics are absolutely outrageous... Hahaha... I can’t take it... Let me bend over for a moment!”

Kenneth Osborne turned around, and his usual faint smile gradually faded from his face.JPG.

Over at the airport, the multitude of fans for the two popular celebrities were suppressed by just one little loudspeaker wielded by Lawrence Winters.

However, the leaders and coordinator of those fans were not to be trifled with and immediately squeezed over to confront Lawrence Winters: ”Hey, put down your loudspeaker! Don’t make trouble!”

”This is the welcome scene for Brother Sheng and Sister Wen, don’t mooch fame!”

”Exactly! Who even knows who Lucas Harlow is... Some thirty-eight-tier nobodies don’t deserve a name!”

”Yeah yeah! So fat yet trying to chase a star! Do they not look at themselves in a mirror!”

”Hahaha! Lucas Harlow, such an eighteen-tier nobody only deserves this kind of chubby fan!”

There were also numerous media outlets present, some notified by the production crew on purpose, others who came to join the fray as marketing accounts.

As soon as they saw there was potential news, they immediately turned their cameras towards this scene.

When it comes to arguing, Lawrence Winters was never scared.

She was only afraid of not having enough buzz.

Seeing the media cameras turning her way now, she got even more excited, immediately waving her little sign for Lucas Harlow’s welcome and shouting loudly: ”Our Lucas brother has great acting skills! Looks sharp and elegant! Has manners and is polite! How can he not deserve a name!”

”Being chubby means you can’t be a fan? Did I eat your rice? Or occupy your house? Can only attack people personally! Seeing the low quality of the superstar’s fan leaders, I’m relieved!”

Then she started using her loudspeaker, chanting along to the rhythm of ”Wild Wolf DISCO”: ”Lucas, feel free to fly! Ilan, I’m forever with you!”.

Her voice sounded nice, and the loudspeaker was of good quality, making her chants rhythmic, almost brainwashing like a pop song.

Some of the fans of those two major celebrities, whose wills were not strong, even started to hum along ”Lucas, feel free to fly! Ilan, I’m forever with you!”.

It wasn’t until someone nearby glared at them that they quickly shut up.

Lawrence Winters alone could hold the entire scene, and those two major celebrities were dissatisfied.

They were supposed to be the male and female leads, what was Lucas Harlow, an eighteen-tier small role?

So they calmly put on masks and gave their managers a look.

Their managers were ruthless figures as well, immediately sending messages to the top fan coordinators on their side.

Just now, the bewildered leading fans instantly had a plan.

No matter how fierce Lawrence Winters was, she was still just one person!

They had so many people on their side, thousands!

Even stepping on her would crush her!

Thus, they began deploying their personnel.

Undercurrents surged in the venue, a wave of unsettling atmosphere gradually spreading.

Lawrence Winters was too excited to notice the changing situation.

Seeing herself alone able to control the whole scene, she was immensely proud, still waving her banner and little sign, hoping to catch a glimpse of Lucas Harlow walking out from the exit.

But mostly ordinary people were coming out, not the dazzling entrance of Lucas Harlow as she imagined.

Yet she wasn’t discouraged, continuing relentlessly to use her loudspeaker to grab attention, thinking she might as well promote the name ”Lucas Harlow” to passersby.

She knew very well that for artists, even negative fame is fame; being unnoticed is the most fatal.

Her antics were so captivating that she finally caught the attention of Lucas Harlow’s assistant.

In great excitement, he tugged Lucas Harlow’s arm and whispered: ”Brother Lucas! You’re going to be famous! Look! You have a fan!”

Dressed up as a passerby, wearing a big mask, Lucas Harlow walked quietly past and glanced at Lawrence Winters’ direction, his footsteps paused, almost awkwardly ascending to heaven on the spot.

However, his assistant was moved to tears, continuously wiping his eyes and saying: ”Brother Lucas! She’s your fan leader! Your only top fan! Did you see her signature? Yinou’s Promise! She set up your fan group!”

Lucas Harlow’s mouth twitched, saying: ”You might as well remove the word ’top’.”

That is the only fan.

He, Lucas Harlow, has just this one fan.

The assistant didn’t care, ”Brother Lucas, you’re wrong. Where there’s one, there will be two, where there’s two, there will be three, and from three, breeds all things! — So you are definitely going to be wildly successful!”

”Hm, good study of ’The Book of Changes’. Feeling aggrieved to have you as my assistant and me as an eighteen-tier artist.” Lucas Harlow glanced at him mildly, sped up his steps, wanting to leave the airport quickly.

And suddenly, change happened.

The orderly airport scene just now inexplicably erupted into a mob running and squeezing.

And the girl with the little loudspeaker cheering for him got engulfed by the crowd suddenly surrounding her.

From the little loudspeaker came only a shriek ”Ah! Don’t squeeze me!”, then it fell silent.

Screams and shouts began reverberating through the hall, like a scene from a massive accident of trampling.
