Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 150: 150 Fear (4)_1

Huo Jinnan took a drag of his cigarette, ”I’ve gotten used to leisure and didn’t pay attention. What does this case have to do with Jizhou’s matter?”

The old master nodded, ”There are some old matters that you’re not aware of. The Qin Family’s actions are not that simple. Qin Shaojin and Qin Shaonan have been close to you, and their motives are probably not that pure either.”

Huo Jinnan looked out the window, ”What value do I still have to be exploited?”

The old master felt a heavy pang in his heart and sighed, shaking his head as he looked at Huo Jinnan, speaking frankly, ”The Huo Family has always had few heirs, and Abei and Axue are still young, not yet formidable enough. You, as the elder brother, should start taking some responsibility for the Huo Family. I’ve thought it over, returning to the military is the best option, if you are willing I can go and speak on your behalf. Later on, you in the military and Jizhou in business, it would be a mutual support.”

Huo Jinnan faced the old master, his cold gaze shimmering, ”Can I still return?”

”Anan...” The old master felt somewhat guilty under his stare.

”It’s impossible for me to go back.” Huo Jinnan glanced at the old master and turned to leave the study.

The old master sat there, closing his eyes. He really made a huge mistake back then, he should never have sent Jizhou to the army!

If he hadn’t gone, none of this would have happened!

When Huo Jinnan reached the living room and swept a glance at Gu Jizhou and his mother, he walked straight to the couch and picked up his overcoat.

Huo Jinxue noticed his unhappy expression, ”Anan, won’t you stay for dinner before leaving?”

”No need.” Huo Jinnan put on his overcoat and left the house.

Huo Jinyun hurriedly followed him out, ”Anan, there’s something I want to ask your opinion about.”

Huo Jinnan stopped and looked at Huo Jinyun.

Thinking of Che Huan, Huo Jinyun said, ”I was afraid grandfather would be unhappy to hear about it, so I didn’t dare to mention it, but actually, the recent matters concerning Jizhou are all related to a woman named Che Huan.”

Huo Jinnan’s brows lightly furrowed as he spun the cigarette between his fingers.

Huo Jinyun took a deep breath, ”I don’t know if Jizhou lost his mind or what, but after coming back from the military, he fell in love with this woman and insisted on marrying her. I was against it, but to my surprise, the woman became pregnant, and later they went and got married without telling anyone.”

Huo Jinnan looked at Huo Jinyun, ”A secret marriage?”

Huo Jinyun nodded, ”I was very dissatisfied. I never thought their relationship would last, so I didn’t tell grandfather, father, and mother about it.”

Huo Jinnan took a puff of his cigarette, his eyes darkening, ”Che Huan’s family background is ordinary, not able to support Jizhou?”

Huo Jinyun sighed, ”Yes, more than ordinary. Just a very commonplace girl, with absolutely no family background or talents, completely unable to support Jizhou. She has a bad temper and lacks discernment, not very likable at all.”

Huo Jinnan flicked the ash, his thoughts of Che Huan making his gaze grow deeper.

Huo Jinyun looked at Huo Jinnan, ”I originally really liked Du Yuesheng, but Jizhou went ahead and married her. I always felt that their marriage wouldn’t last, so I kept it a secret. As expected, just like I predicted, they couldn’t stay together long after marrying, and the child that was born didn’t survive. Because Jizhou had another woman, she started pushing for a divorce.”

Huo Jinnan brushed off the ash as he listened, ”How did it involve the Qin Family?”

Huo Jinyun’s eyes flickered, ”Che Huan must have had an affair with Qin Shaojin. Jizhou has always been reluctant to divorce, and because of one woman, he’s been crashing cars and fighting with Qin Shaojin, causing an uproar throughout the city, bringing shame to both the Huo and Gu families.”
