Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 115: 115 Second Young Master, there’s a sound in your room_1

Uncle Guan went downstairs and looked at Huo Jinnan, ”Second Young Master, I just heard something falling in your room, shall we go up and check it out?”

Gu Jizhou heard his words, instantly turned his head, and reflexively stared in Huo Jinnan’s direction without moving.

Huo Jinnan scanned the surroundings and spoke in a low, calm voice, ”It’s probably the team leader who ran in.”

Gu Jizhou stood up and said, ”I just saw the team leader go outside, uncle. It’s not that a thief got into the room, is it? I’ll go upstairs with you and take a look.”

Huo Jinnan raised his eyes and glanced at Gu Jizhou.

Gu Jizhou smiled and walked straight toward the staircase.

Huo Bei stood aside, looking at Huo Jinnan with a sense of unease.

How could Miss Che be so careless!

Huo Jinnan stood up, his expression unchanging, and glanced at Huo Bei, ”You go out and look for the team leader.”

Huo Bei came to his senses and quickly left the Huo Mansion.

Huo Jinnan lit a cigarette and looked sideways at Uncle Guan beside him, ”Uncle Guan, bring the keys up.”

”Yes, Second Young Master.” Uncle Guan went to get the keys to the room from the storage.

Huo Jinnan glanced in the direction of Gu Jizhou, his sharp suit perfectly fitting, and followed him slowly and deliberately.

Gu Jizhou walked fast, and when he arrived at the door of Huo Jinnan’s bedroom, he pushed it, finding it locked. He turned to look at Huo Jinnan who had followed him.

Huo Jinnan stopped and looked intently at Gu Jizhou’s arm, ”I heard from Qin Shaojin that the team leader bit you the other day, are you okay?”

Gu Jizhou stiffened slightly, ”I’ve had the vaccine, it should be fine.”

”That’s good.” Huo Jinnan stood there, his expression inscrutable, holding the cigarette between his fingers, tapping the ash gently into his palm.

Gu Jizhou looked on, irritated, ”Uncle should keep a closer eye on the team leader. It’s fine if it bit me, but it would be a different story if it bit someone else.”

Huo Jinnan’s gaze lowered to the shadows on the floor cast by the light, ”The team leader usually doesn’t bite. You must have provoked it.”

Gu Jizhou stood in the hallway, feeling breathless recalling that day’s scene and didn’t continue the topic. ”Uncle, do you think there’s ever a chance that we will fall in love with the same woman at the same time?”

Huo Jinnan’s brows furrowed lightly, as he lifted his gaze towards Gu Jizhou, ”No one knows the future. Anything could happen.”

Gu Jizhou, unable to continue the conversation, saw Uncle Guan coming upstairs and fell silent.

Uncle Guan handed the keys to Huo Jinnan, ”Second Young Master, as per your instructions, the door has been locked, and no one has entered when you were not here.”

Huo Jinnan hummed in acknowledgment, took the keys, and glanced at Gu Jizhou.

Gu Jizhou stepped aside.

Huo Jinnan approached and turned the doorknob, the door creaking open.

Che Huan stood in the closet, hearing their conversation clearly as well as the sound of the door opening. She bit her lip tight, preventing any sound from escaping, but her legs shook uncontrollably, and her chest was extremely tense, like a tightened string, ready to snap at any moment!

Would Gu Jizhou and Uncle Guan discover her?

Thinking of Mr. Huo being there, surely he wouldn’t let them search the room randomly, right?

Even comforting herself like this, her eyes shut tight, her eyelashes still trembled violently, and her heart in her chest thumped wildly, as if it was about to leap out of her throat!

If Gu Jizhou could flaunt himself with a woman in front of her, then she didn’t have that thick of a skin, nor did she want to remain entangled with him or the Huo Family!
