Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 122: 122 Series Ties (4)_1

Che Huan quickly returned to the bedroom, and with nowhere else to sit, he could only sit on the bed.

Huo Jinnan finished eating and pushed his utensils onto the bedside table, ”I’m going out for a bit and I’ll probably be back very late. If you’re tired, just lie down on the bed and sleep for a while.”

Che Huan nodded, watched him carry the utensils downstairs, went over, closed the door, and glanced back at the bed he slept in, which was only shifted to one side.

Huo Jinnan saw the door close and headed toward the staircase.

Seeing Huo Jinnan come down, the old master said, ”Aunt Shen, go get Anan a bowl of soup.”

Aunt Shen complied with an ”Okay,” went to the kitchen, filled the soup, and brought it over, placing it in the empty seat next to Zhong Qin.

Huo Jinnan walked over, took a seat, and with his slender fingers received the spoon passed by Aunt Shen, stirring the richly colored soup leisurely.

The little guy glanced over and used his chopsticks to place a zongzi on the plate in front of Huo Jinnan.

Huo Jinnan glanced at the little guy.

Filled with nervousness, the little guy wondered what to do if Huo Jinnan, who was always difficult to please, refused to eat or disdained his chopsticks.

Zhong Qin watched from the side, ”Anan, have one. Xiaowei specifically saved it for you.”

Huo Jinnan scanned the little guy, put down his spoon, picked up the zongzi, his long fingers unwrapping the lotus leaf, took a bite, found it quite tasty, and slowly finished it.

It was rare for Huo Jinnan to give him such face today!

Delighted, the little guy beside him gave today’s performance a score of one hundred, ”Dad, are we going home after we eat?”

Hearing this, the old master frowned and looked at the little guy, then cheerfully said, ”Isn’t this your home, too?”

The little guy pursed his lips, defiantly said, ”This isn’t the home of me and Huo Jinnan.”

Accidentally using his name, the little guy sneakily shot a look at Huo Jinnan, and seeing no change in his expression, he quietly sighed in relief.

Huo Jinnan looked at Zhong Qin next to him, remembering that his mother wouldn’t be going back until Monday, his gaze fell on the little guy, ”Let’s go back tomorrow. Remember to invite Grandma to our place.”

”Okay then,” the little guy obediently nodded, kicked his legs and looked at Zhong Qin, ”Grandma, come stay at our place tomorrow night.”

Feeling Huo Qichang’s gaze on her, Zhong Qin pretended not to notice, ”Alright, Xiaowei is such a good boy.”

The little guy glanced in Huo Qichang’s direction and deliberately said, ”Grandma loves Daddy, and Xiaowei loves Grandma the most.”

Huo Qichang averted his gaze, thinking back to the last time the little guy had called him and even asked him to find a wife for Anan, yet suddenly he treated him like a stranger now, leaving a bitter taste in his heart!

Zhong Qin stayed silent, clearly sensing that the previously harmonious atmosphere of the lunch had become quite awkward.

She looked at the little guy and served him a piece of sweet and sour ribs.

The little guy nodded his thanks, sitting there swinging his legs gently, ”Thank you, Grandma.”

Huo Jinnan looked at the little guy, ”Have you eaten enough?”

The little guy shook his head.

Huo Jinnan saw another zongzi, peeled it and put it into the little guy’s bowl, ”Finish your meal and let Grandma tuck you into bed.”

The little guy really wanted to sleep in Huo Jinnan’s room, but knowing that Huo Jinnan was always unapproachable, he definitely wouldn’t agree. Today, Huo Jinnan peeling a zongzi for him already felt too good to be true, like a dream, ”Thank you, Dad!”

...

After lunch, Zhong Qin took the little guy upstairs to rest.

Huo Jinnan sat there smoking.

Gu Yunqing had been silent the whole time, sitting there with red eyes, not constantly staring at Huo Jinnan as usual.
