Chapter 2174: Finally, A Worthy Fight (1)

Zhong Tian Yun furrowed his brow, noticing the change within Tang Shaoyang. He could tell that the week-long closed-door training helped Tang Shaoyang break through.

”You know it’s not the time for that when the Demonic Factions and the Heaven Founders are in front of us.”

Tang Shaoyang shrugged, scooped the spicy tofu into his bowl, ”So why do you want to meet me, Alliance Leader Zhong?”

”Why did you attack the Tang Clan? Aren’t we in agreement to work together?”

Just as Tang Shaoyang predicted a few days ago, Zhong Tian Yun wanted to meet him because of the Tang Clan. Ouyang Biya had wiped out the Tang Clan. Mathias’s report said that she killed all cultivators from the Tang Clan, including the young ones.

She truly went to the root of the Tang Clan, ensuring they could not make a comeback. If not for Mathias and Gianni, she might kill everyone in the Tang Clan.

”We are in agreement to use you as bait to lure out the Heaven Founder. That’s our only agreement.”

Tang Shaoyang answered while finishing his tofu in his bowl, then he took a piece of roasted duck.

”In exchange for using you as bait, I will take care of the man who killed your friend. I don’t remember any other agreements.”

Zhong Tian Yun’s calm expression crunched into anger. His internal energy flared, but it failed to break anything.

Tang Shaoyang covered the tables and everything on the table with his energy, preventing his meal from getting destroyed. The Alliance Leader noticed the reaction and was surprised inside.

”It seems I still have time for another bowl of chicken noodle soup,” he raised his empty bowl, calling the attendant to serve him another.

Zhong Tian Yun took a deep breath, calming down, ”So it’s true that you will direct your sword to the Murim Alliance once we take down the Heaven Founder?”

Tang Shaoyang’s eyes went wide for a moment. He finally understood what changed Zhong Tian Yun’s mind to fight him instead of the Heaven Founder. It was because of Ouyang Biya’s revenge against the Tang Family.

After that, it seemed someone fed him that the Thousand Vows Pavilion would destroy the Murim Alliance. Considering he put distance between Zhong Tian Yun and the Murim Alliance, it made sense for Zhong Tian Yun to believe more. Or maybe something else, but it was clear that he had to fight the Murim Alliance too now.

He received a message from his shadow spirit, who resided in Guardian Quan’s shadow. The report was: ”The Murim Alliance has located Tang Shaoyang’s location. We need to kill him before his reinforcement comes!”

That was what Alderman Fiodor informed the Guardians and the Heaven Founder’s leader in the emergency summons. Alderman mentioned the Murim Alliance, not a specific name, but that was enough to be proof that Alliance Leader Zhong betrayed him.

Alderman mentioned the Murim Alliance, meaning everyone in the Murim Alliance agreed to work together with the Heaven Founder.

It was funny that it took a strange turn. It was supposed to be him and the Murim Alliance against the Heaven Founder. Now it was him against the Heaven Founder and the Murim Alliance.

’Now I think about it, it can’t be said as a betrayal after I mentioned our agreement.’

He let out a sigh because he didn’t really want to destroy the Murim Alliance. If the Murim Alliance, as the ruler of the Sacred Realm, disappeared, the realm would be in chaos. People would fight to replace the Murim Alliance, meaning it was a war, and there was instability in the realm.

It would be hard to conduct business when he had to worry about the war, and he didn’t have a spare force to rule the realm as well.

Tang Shaoyang let out a sigh, shaking his head, ”Who fed you that idea?”

Zhong Tian Yun frowned, adding pressure in his tone, ”Just answer me!”

”That’s right, it doesn’t really matter whose idea it is. Since you have made the decision, then let’s see it through to the end of it, Alliance Leader Zhong.”

As he said that, the attendant arrived with a new bowl, ”You can leave now.”

The attendant ran toward the kitchen right away. When the attendant left, something was thrown into the restaurant, breaking the windows.

Zhong Tian Yun and Old Zhou startled, leaping backward. Their faces changed when they saw the thing that was thrown into the restaurant. They were heads, their subordinate’s heads, or to be more exact, they were the Warden who followed Alliance Leader Zhong.

Zara and Avyn appeared behind Tang Shaoyang. Zara was shaking her head that her husband still had the appetite to eat even after seeing those heads.

”How can you still eat at this moment? You have the chance to at least take that old man’s head.”

She was talking about Old Zhou. It would be hard to take Alliance Leader Zhong’s head in one strike, but it should be easier to kill Old Zhou in one surprise attack.

”I haven’t eaten for at least eight days. This kind of thing could not stop me from enjoying my meal,” He munched a piece of roasted duck and looked up at the livid Alliance Leader Zhong and Old Zhou.

”I would like to leave them for the last, kinda want to see their regret for making such a decision.”

Tang Shaoyang shook his head, ”We have told them multiple times that we would have joined the Heaven Founder to kill him if we wanted him dead. I don’t understand how they don’t see it.”

Avyn rolled her eyes, ”It’s because you never tried to gain their trust. If you put that into a Divine Contract, just like when you take Yan Xueyi in, they would not stab you in the back.”

”TANG SHAOYANG!!!”

A violent energy burst out from the Alliance Leader Zhong and blasted everything inside the restaurant, including the building. Everything else was destroyed, aside from Tang Shaoyang’s chair and table with his food.

Tang Shaoyang brought the noodle into his mouth, shaking his head, looking confused, ”Why are you getting so worked up, Alliance Leader Zhong? What do you expect when you decide to turn against me? Do you expect my magnanimity and spare your subordinate’s lives?”

Zhong Tian Yun was shocked to hear that Tang Shaoyang found out about his agreement with the Heaven Founder.

The plan was to meet and locate Tang Shaoyang. Then he would pretend to be angry and storm out of the meeting, letting the Heaven Founder fight Tang Shaoyang instead. The Murim Alliance would later finish off whoever survived. He didn’t plan to fight Tang Shaoyang head-on.

”Alliance Leader Zhong, oh, Alliance Leader Zhong... Do you forget that I have my way to obtain information from within the Heaven Founder? What makes you think that I would not know what you planned behind me?”
