Chapter 2172: Suspicious Movement (2)

Tang Shaoyang shared the information with Zara, Avyn, Gianni, and the other knights about the Heaven Founder.

”This makes Zhong Tian Yun even more suspicious. I think he wants to meet you to locate your location. The moment they find their location, the Heaven Founder will make their move to kill you.”

Avyn and Zara were quick to draw the conclusion. The timing was indeed making Zhong Tian Yun their top suspect.

”That might be true, or maybe he realizes his alliance is rotten to the core and comes to us to ask for help. We have no clear evidence about that yet.”

Tang Shaoyang agreed that Zhong Tian Yun likely betrayed them, but he hadn’t quickly come to a conclusion yet. As he said, Zhong Tian Yun might come to them for help. Alliance Leader might have found out that his organization was infiltrated by the Heaven Founder.

”It’s actually easy to find out. I can just meet Alliance Leader Zhong and see their reaction.”

”But?”

”But I am worried about those Demonic Cultivators that Alderman brought with him. Some of them are experts in Soul Technique...”

Tang Shaoyang explained to them what the Soul Technique meant, what kinds of things the Soul Technique could do. One of the dangerous techniques was Soul Entrapment. It was similar to a Domain, but more dangerous.

A domain would bring his physical body into the domain, but Soul Entrapment would trap his soul into a different space. His consciousness would be brought into that space, yet his physical body remained. If they managed to pull that trick, his body would be vulnerable, as it would be the same as being unconscious.

That was not the worst. The worst was that his soul could be destroyed, the same as killing him. Of course, destroying a soul was a much harder feat than trapping a soul. The Heaven Founder’s plan was to trap his soul, and Alderman would use that chance to kill him.

There was a technique that corrupted the soul as well, which would lead to the creation of an inner demon. There was also soul poisoning, which would weaken the cultivator considerably. Various kinds of things could be achieved with the Soul Technique.

”There’s something like that?”

His spirits were quite surprised to hear what Soul Technique could achieve. It seemed there was no skill similar to the Soul Technique.

[The technique sounds strong, but there’s a fatal flaw, no? The technique doesn’t work on someone with no Soul Palace? Meaning the technique only worked against a cultivator.]

Vandir had heard the Soul Technique from Han Taiyang, and he might have figured this out earlier. What he said made sense on paper, but there was a chance for the technique to work on everyone.

”We can’t be sure that only the cultivator has a Soul Palace. Even ordinary people might have Soul Palace, but it is simpler, smaller, and weaker than a cultivator.”

Tang Shaoyang just started his Soul Cultivation. Han Taiyang said it would be hard for a Soul Technique to work on him with the state of his Soul Palace. However, he couldn’t be sure when he fought against someone who solely focused on Soul Cultivation.

On top of that, Han Taiyang was a cultivator from the old era. They didn’t know how much Soul Technique had evolved. He could not be relying on Han Taiyang’s outdated information against the Soul Cultivator of this era.

He kept saying the cultivator’s stubbornness was their doom, making them fail to grow. But Tang Shaoyang would not underestimate his enemy. He would use everything to kill his enemy, whether they were weak or strong.

”That’s why I need more time to continue my Soul Cultivation. I need to strengthen my soul before facing them. It’s better safe than sorry.”

Tang Shaoyang then explained to his spirits what he did for three days. He shared what he went through in detail, how soul cultivation worked, even though he didn’t really know it worked. Mostly, how he developed his Soul Palace, but he didn’t really know how this could strengthen his soul.

[That sounds fun. I wonder if you can make undead or maybe a necromancer like me, so you can leave the necromancer to develop your Soul Palace.]

Vandir was quick to give an idea, and it was not a bad idea. But there was one problem with it: the effect that a necromancer or undead could bring into his Soul Palace. An undead or Necromancer could negatively affect his Soul Palace, and they might ruin his grass field region into an undead territory.

As Vandir suggested to him to create a Necromancer, Zara also suggested to make her a replica in his Soul Palace. Especially when she heard the unstable area. She asked him to create her replica in the area with unstable space.

”I would like to create an advanced thing, but that needs to wait. I need to know what kind of change those animals bring into my Soul Palace before creating an intelligence being.”

Tang Shaoyang wanted to be more careful when it came to Soul Cultivation. Han Taiyang might be a cultivator, but he could not rely on Han Taiyang since his expertise was not in Soul Cultivation. The same for Ouyang Biya, she also didn’t know much about Soul Cultivation.

They had developed their own Soul Palace, but theirs were much smaller. Han Taiyang told him that their Soul Palace started as an empty space instead of a landscape like his. He could not rely on them to develop his Soul Palace because of his unique circumstances.

”I need time to consolidate my Soul Palace before facing those demonic cultivators. The problem is that you have no way to contact me once I enter the Soul Palace, and we don’t know when Alderman will show up.”

He wanted to strengthen his Soul Palace further, but once he was inside the Soul Palace. His connection with the people outside was cut. It would be bad if Alderman showed when he was still inside his Soul Palace.

”I don’t think you need to worry about it, no? If you are their target, they will not attack the city unless they can locate you. So, as long as you don’t show up, they will not attack you.”

Zara made a point there. The Heaven Founder’s target was no longer Alliance Leader Zhong, but him. If he didn’t show up, then they would not move.

”Even if they make a move, I believe we are more than enough, no?” Avyn added confidently. It was not just about the Heaven Founder, but also Alderman Fiodor. She was confident in taking him and the Heaven Founder with Zara and the five knights. There was also Ouyang Biya and the Shadow Spirit that could assist them anytime.

Tang Shaoyang flicked Avyn’s forehead, ”Don’t underestimate your enemy, no matter how weak they are!”

Avyn covered her forehead with a frown.

”I will return once in a while instead, and I also want to join the fun, no? The training been fun, but the fight always been more fun. Especially if it’s against the former Executive Administrator.”

He had an excited smile as he said that, then he added with a grin.

”It’s important for me to fight Alderman myself. That will show the difference between the other Executive Administrators and me.”

Tang Shaoyang had been curious about how strong he was compared to the Executive Administrator. The only thing he knew was that they were strong, and they had lived so long that they had accumulated skills and experiences more than someone like him, who was the new Executive Administrator.

This might be the only way for him to find out how he was going to fare against an Executive Administrator. This might be the reason why Clementine and Arion assigned the task to him.
