Chapter 2164: Heavenly Body Transformation

Tang Shaoyang thought opening his meridian would be easier with his unlimited internal energy supply. The key to opening the meridian was the internal energy. To keep circulating the internal energy through the meridian, you need enough internal energy.

It was a slow process for many people because they had limited internal energy, but it was different for him, who had almost unlimited internal energy thanks to his Chaos Energy. He could keep going for a month until he opened all meridians, which was his plan.

Each circulation helped him expand his meridian, meaning his meridian could contain more internal energy, which helped him to open the next pathway.

It was smooth at first; he easily opened his meridian after his previous attempt when he first got the Grandmaster Codex. One after another pathway opened as the converted Heavenly Energy was so pure compared to the internal energy in his dantian.

Each time he broke out one pathway, a warm current flowed through his body. There was a feeling of satisfaction that gushed over him each time he opened a meridian. That made him keep doing it, but it got harder as he went on.

His unique meridian had 256 pathways, meaning he had to open 256 meridians. As Han Taiyang and Ouyang Biya mentioned, his meridian was unique. A normal person should not have that many meridians, and he was the first case they encountered, including the sleeping dragon residing in his dantian.

Tang Shaoyang opened one hundred paths in a single day. He didn’t leave the training ground, but from then on, he started to slow down, two times slower, as he only opened fifty meridians on the second day, and he opened twenty-five meridians on the third day.

That was when he decided to stop. Even though he was in a trance, putting his focus on the cultivation. He didn’t lose track of time, and he had Vandir, who kept reminding him when a day passed. He asked Vandir to do so because his main priority was to kill Alderman Fiodor.

The first thing he saw was two beauties, standing a few meters in front of him. Zara and Avyn were observing him from a distance.

”Are you okay?” Zara asked, concerned.

For someone who was not familiar with cultivation, this was not normal. If not for Bing Lianxin telling him not to disturb Tang Shaoyang, she would have woken him up yesterday.

Tang Shaoyang smiled and nodded in response. He stood up and felt refreshed, stretching out his head in satisfaction. He didn’t know that cultivation could give him such a feeling. It was similar after getting a massage.

”I am fine, trying to open my meridians, but it seems I am underestimating it a little. It will take some time before I can fully open up all my meridians.”

He approached the two women, giving them a hug, but his answer didn’t lessen their concern, ”I am fine. You have seen my complicated meridian already, no?”

”Did you use perfume?” Avyn asked out of nowhere after the hug. She quickly realized that her question didn’t make sense because she watched him, not moving for three days.

”Now you said it, I smell something nice...” Zara hugged Tang Shaoyang once more; this time, she sniffed on his neck. She smelled something nice, so pleasant that she could not stop sniffing at him.

Tang Shaoyang rolled his eyes and pushed Zara. If not for the situation, he would drag them to a room and have a nice session. But there must be news about Alderman in the last three days.

”Is there something new?”

”Alderman and the Heaven Founder’s leader haven’t made a move yet. But as you said, the Heaven Founder attacked the Fist Stone Clan and the Thunder Spear Clan. They are currently in a war in Taiyuan, and the Murim Alliance is on the defensive because the Heaven Founder managed to persuade the smaller sects to join them. The Sky Hall and the Heavenly Fortress are getting outnumbered and pressured. It’s just a matter of time before they lose that war.”

”Alliance Leader Zhong is in Xiyun in disguise and currently staying with the Bai Family. I think the Heaven Founder is currently trying to locate Alliance Leader Zhong. Our people noticed the suspicious movement in the Murim Alliance’s headquarters.”

At the same time, Tang Shaoyang was listening to his spirit’s report. The shadow spirit who followed Guardian Quan. Guardian Quan was initially in charge of attacking the Stone Fist Clan. However, he was recalled yesterday and is currently heading toward Xiyun to join the force there.

From the report, the Heaven Founder gathered their force in Xiyun. It seemed they had found out Alliance Leader Zhong’s whereabouts. If the Heaven Founder gathered their main force in Xiyun, the war in the Taiyuan should shift toward the Murim Alliance, yet they were getting cornered instead.

There was something fishy happening there for sure, but that was not the problem. There was no news from his spirit about the Heaven Founder’s leader or Alderman Fiodor. He was relying on Guardian Quan to gather information, so he only knew what Guardian Quan knew. It seemed Guardian Quan didn’t know where his leader was.

”The Murim Alliance sent their people to the pavilion yesterday. They are asking us to help them with the situation in Taiyuan.”

Tang Shaoyang found it funny that the Murim Alliance was asking him for help instead of the sects under the Murim Alliance. The great family might be reluctant to answer the Alliance Leader’s order, but the great sects should listen to him.

Wudang had fallen, but the Murim Alliance still had Emei Sect, Kunlun, Shaolin, Mount Hua, Qingcheng Sect, and Beggar Sect. They were the great sect; there were still more powerful sects below those renowned sects, yet the Murim Alliance came for them. It showed the Murim Alliance was on the verge of falling apart.

”There’s one more thing. It seems the Murim Alliance is leaking your real identity to the four empires. We caught more than thirty people in the last three days, secretly spying on the pavilion. They admitted the four empires sent them to gather information about us.”

For some reason, Tang Shaoyang was not surprised to hear this. The Alliance Leader was not the one who leaked the information. He had three suspects: Kunlun, Shaolin, and Old Zhou.

[There’s also the Fist God and the Fire God.]

’Possible, but unlikely. I don’t think they are the type to scheme like this.’ That was his hunch about those two old men. They were the two who persuaded Alliance Leader Zhong not to fight him. If not for those two, the Alliance Leader would attack him.

”Hmmm...” Tang Shaoyang scratched his chin.

He bought the Lotus Moon Pavilion to gather information about the Murim Alliance. With the current progress, there was no need for them to spy on the Murim Alliance anymore.

Tang Shaoyang checked on the shadow spirit he put in one of the Wardens. As Zara said, Alliance Leader Zhong was currently staying in the Bai Family’s residence along with the Fist God and Fire God.

”We will abandon the Lotus Moon Pavilion. There’s no need to put the Yang Family’s people in danger, and we have no use for the Lotus Moon Pavilion anyway. We are leaving for Xiyun.”

In the next hour, Tang Shaoyang emptied the Lotus Moon Pavilion. The Yang Family decided to bring the girls who worked in the pavilion with them to their estate. After emptying the pavilion, Tang Shaoyang switched places with his shadow spirit.

Just like that, Tang Shaoyang brought all his people with him to Xiyun, to be more exact, to the Bai Family’s domain, Radiant Blossom City.

This time, Tang Shaoyang decided to purchase one of the biggest restaurants in the city and used it as their base until. As he said before, it was a waiting game now.

After setting up everything, Tang Shaoyang went back to his training ground. He had opened 196 meridians; there were sixty more meridians. However, he didn’t continue with his Heavenly Meridian Opening Art.

The Heavenly Scripture instructed us to pursue the balance within the soul, body, and internal energy. So he decided to try the Heavenly Body Transformation this time. As its name implied, it was a technique to reform the body, refining or restructuring the body with Heavenly Energy.

He was unsure if the Heavenly Body Transformation had an effect on his body. Gaining all those attributes was similar to a transformation. His body was getting stronger and tougher with his increasing attributes. This technique might not be as effective as he thought, but he still wanted to give it a try.

The first step in Heavenly Body Transformation was the skin, refining his skin with Heavenly Energy. He didn’t really understand what it was, but he just needed to follow the technique. The Heavenly Energy inside dantian started to move, seeping into his skin as he chanted the technique soundlessly.

He felt discomfort through his skin. It felt like there was something inside his skin, something crawling between his skin and flesh. The discomfort got stronger and spread all over his body.

Tang Shaoyang kept going as the manual mentioned about the discomfort and said not to stop. He continued to the end and opened his eyes. He was relieved that the discomfort on his skin disappeared. Then he noticed the dried skins falling over, and that was when he realized that he was shedding like a snake. His skin was broken apart, and some of the dead skin was still stuck to him.
