Chapter 2092: It’s Time (2)

Zhang Mengyao, who was followed by Wei Xi and Kang Xue. Along with them were Alton, Moonsong, and all the Marshals, who also came over.

Tang Shaoyang waved his hand at them when they were about to give their formal greeting. Sometimes he would let it, but most of the time he would stop them.

”Just stay and watch. That’s your task for today.”

He jumped off the wall and landed right in front of the invisible barrier. The barrier was invisible to the naked eye, but he could see the energy that enforced the barrier with Chaos Eyes. He could also sense the overwhelming energy.

The barrier was a work of wonder for sure because it stopped everyone from outside from entering his territory, but the people inside could go outside. However, doing so would break the barrier, meaning the territory would be open.

The protection applied to all new territory granted by the System. If the System granted him another territory, it would include the same protection. The protection didn’t apply if he conquered a territory with the owner.

Tang Shaoyang took a deep breath for a moment, and then he used the Bloodline Transformation. He controlled his aura to make sure that his enemy didn’t notice his presence, suppressing that barely leaked.

After the Bloodline Transformation, he summoned the Skelly Family and the Skeleton Army. Not just a few thousand skeletons, but all of them, numbered over thirty thousand.

Skelly1, the commander of the army, led the army to the other side, to the side of the second faction. Surprisingly, the skeleton army didn’t make a ruckus with their match.

They barely made noise, but that was because of their frame instead of their steps. The ground didn’t tremble, as if their steps carried no weight.

The remaining Skelly Family stayed behind, waiting for the spirits. That was right, they didn’t wait for Tang Shaoyang’s instruction but for their rival.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t summon the spirits right away because something else caught his attention. It was the small group behind Skelly7, Archmaster Bonemancer.

He created the skeleton army with his skills, but that small group was created by the Skelly7. 71 skeletons stood behind Skelly7 in all kinds of sizes, colors, and shapes. There was a tiny skeleton that was even smaller than Tang Xiulan. There was a giant one that reached almost fifteen meters.

Each had their own weapons and class. He saw a few with a magic staff. A few of the skeletons were covered in fire. Their frames were set on fire while a few continuously released cold air.

He could sense their auras, and he was surprised by how strong they were. They were on the level of the main member of the Skelly Family, but the gap was not that big. Skelly7 clacked excitedly and sent a telepathic message directly to Tang Shaoyang.

Skelly7 was excited and could not wait to watch all his creations in the battle. This was indeed the first time that Skelly7 deployed all his creations. He usually only selected a few for an experimental session and started to perfect his creation from that.

”Do whatever you want! As long as you get rid of my enemy, you can do whatever you want, and as usual, you keep your kills too.”

Skelly7 clacked even harder as he was satisfied with the instruction. He didn’t wait for the others or the spirit as he made his way toward the Skeleton Army with his creations.

Then Tang Shaoyang finally summoned his spirits, not all of them. Doombringer and Aerelion remained in the Spirit World. They were too big; their enemy might be able to see them from afar and be prepared for the battle.

He didn’t want that, as he planned to catch them off guard and finish them off quickly. There were a few calamities of their size as well, and he kept them in the Spirit World as well.

There were also the spirits who died in the fights against the Shadow Star. He didn’t include them in this battle. It took a week to get rid of the dying debuff. If they died again with that debuff on them, their power would be halved with double duration.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t want to risk it, so they remained in the Spirit World. Those spirits protested, expressing their desire to join the battle as well, but he declined outright and ignored their protest.

156 spirits were summoned, with 11 giant-sized spirits remaining in the Spirit World, and 45 spirits that died in the battle against the Shadow Star remained in the Spirit World.

He expected a chaotic atmosphere when he summoned his spirits, but to his surprise, none of them made a ruckus. It was unknown how they did it, but the Lysvand Family was put in charge of the calamity spirits.

Those wild and unruly calamity spirits listened to their order. Gianni, Nikolas, and Mathias drilled discipline into them. There must be something that happened in his Spirit World in the last three days.

”Is the Skelly Family ready for another loss?” Vandir immediately spoke to Kaiser.

”I see you have handled your unruly calamities well. Are you truly afraid of losing against us?”

When Kaiser pointed that out, Tang Shaoyang realized that the spirits truly did take this more seriously than before. The rivalry was started as a joke, a means for Radiance to make fun of the Skelly Family, but it has become a real thing now.

Even the spirits took this even more seriously. He recalled that the spirits barely won their last fight. Maybe that was why the spirits took this even more seriously now.

”I see you are confident because you have a big army under your command, but numbers don’t really matter. Haven’t you learned that yet?” Vandir didn’t stop with his provocation.

”That’s because we, the Skelly Family, don’t have the luxury like you spirits, where you get pampered and skipped ranks without earning it with your own hands. We will win this time!” Kaiser declared that it touched many spirits’ sensitive spots.

Kaiser was talking about how he used Spirit Blessing and sacrificed bodies to make them rank up. But that applied to the Skelly Family, too. They took bones to get stronger.

”Alright, that’s enough! Stop with your nonsense and get to your position now!” Tang Shaoyang stepped in before they continued with their smack talk, ”I don’t care about your bets or competition, but I want you to show my people what it looks like a battle between God Rank and make it quick!”

”Alright, Boss! Let’s leave it to us, the spirits!”

”I understand, Your Majesty. The Skelly Family will not disappoint you.”

Kaiser and Vandir had their last glare competition before departing. Vandir and Karan led the spirits while the Lysvand Family commanded the calamities. The spirits and the Skelly Family disappeared from his sight in a few seconds.

”Don’t you two want to help the spirits?” Tang Shaoyang asked Zara and Avyn, who stayed behind instead of following the spirits.

”Don’t group us with those fools,” Zara clicked her tongue, offended that she was put on the same level as Vandir and the other spirits.

Tang Shaoyang shrugged and turned toward the direction where the enemy camp was. The Spirits were going after the faction that hid their camp behind the forest.

The Skelly Family’s enemy was the faction that set up their camp too close to their territory. And lastly, he was going for the third faction by himself. A faction that set up a proper base instead of just a camp.

The third faction made a fort, albeit temporary; they made a proper defense. That was his target in this fight.

Tang Shaoyang stood right before the barrier, closing his eyes. He was waiting for a report from his spirits and the Skelly Family.

”We are ready!” ”We are in position, Your Majesty.” Vandir and Kaiser reported almost at the same time.

The moment he heard the report, his figure blurred, moving at extreme speed that left a small crater on the ground.

”Go!”

At the same time, Zara’s shadow spread out as she disappeared into the shadows. The whole ground turned black, covered in shadow. She disappeared into the shadows.

Meanwhile, Avyn opened her wings. Her frayed ash-blue wings constantly released cold air. With a single flap of her wing, her figure disappeared into a blur. At the same time, snow started to fall.

Zhang Mengyao’s vision remained clear despite the distance between the city and the fort. The thing that she failed to track was Tang Shaoyang, Avyn, and Zara. It made sense that she could not see Zara, who hid in the shadows, but not with Tang Shaoyang and Avyn.

That was just a normal movement, nothing to do with a skill. Both shot up like a rocket, and her eyes failed her as they disappeared.

She was frustrated by this, as this just proved Tang Shaoyang’s point that the Demi-God Rank was truly nothing in front of the God Rank.

In that frustration, something happened in the fort. The steel wall burst open. No, the right word was that the steel was lifted into the air, opening a whole wall section.

That section of the wall was thrown into the air. At the same time, cries resounded from the fort. Then followed by a shadow. The whole ground of the fort was pitch black.

Zhang Mengyao still could not find where Tang Shaoyang, Avyn, and Zara were. But then she saw how the people were swallowed into the shadow one by one. Then it was followed by a massive burst of black lava from all directions.

What came after the shadow and lava were frozen land where everything inside the fort was frozen, including the lava that burst out from the ground, which was also frozen. In that single attack, the fort fell. The God Ranks from their side failed to stop the attack from the three God Ranks.

However, this was just the start. At least that was what Zhang Mengyao believed; that attack might kill the Demi-God Ranks and lower-ranked soldiers, but not the God Ranks.

The God Ranks should be able to survive that attack, and the real battle was about to start.
