Chapter 2073: Let the World Knows - Hurakan Kingdom Involvement? (5)

[We must escape and regroup with the others. Our Shadow Elemental Power is not going to work against them. Remember what I said about the Fallen Angel with the same elemental power. That one is far scarier because she also has Space Elemental Power. And don’t worry, I have sent these messages to all Elders!]

That was Havel’s message. Elder was a high-ranking position in the Shadow Star, only one ranked below the Shadow Lord. There are eight elders aside from Remin and Havel in this place.

Remin was indecisive because he brought his trusted people and also his elite. He nurtured those elites, gaining their loyalty. It was disturbing that he had to make such a decision. Not that he didn’t understand behind Havel’s suggestion.

The north and Antona fell so quickly. That proved how strong their enemy was. His summons was beyond common sense.

[Listen to Havel! If he is that strong, we need to fight him together! We need all Elders, or else this truly will be the end of the Shadow Star!]

Another message came in. That was a message from another Elder who was in charge of the south area.

Remin closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Ten seconds of quietness was all he needed to make the decision. He opened his eyes and turned toward Havel.

”Leave! Lead my people with you. Bring as many as you can. I will delay the actual Executive Administrator!”

He thought Tang Shaoyang must be around the summons for them to be effective. So he thought delaying Tang Shaoyang would save many people. Despite his ambition, he could not betray his people’s trust in him.

”Retreat! Leave this battlefield! Survive and avenge me!”

Remin’s voice echoed in the air, reverberating to his force. That message caught them off guard, not expecting to receive such an order.

Everyone obeyed the order right away, as most of them turned around and attempted to break away from the flank. Despite the sudden order, they maintained formation. They were veterans on a battlefield, and an abrupt order didn’t panic them.

The mercenaries also had their own discussion, and there were quite a lot who decided to stay with Remin among the mercenaries. Most likely, they realized that they would not be able to escape if Remin from the Shadow had to stay with a delay tactic.

”Fool!” Havel was fumed. He didn’t understand why someone like Remin wanted to sacrifice himself for those weaklings.

The Black Executioner didn’t hesitate to blend into the shadows and disappear. He was not going to waste his time with a fool, nor would he lead Remin’s subordinates. If he wanted to escape, he would do it for himself.

”You are not going to leave anywhere!” A cheery voice resounded as the temperature suddenly dropped.

Remin snapped toward the voice and saw a figure in a black coat with goggles skated toward him. This figure turned his surroundings into ice. This figure was coming toward him.

He immediately activated his bloodline. Two fangs grew out from his mouth as his figure enlarged. He was 1.8 meters tall, but he reached 4 meters with his bloodline transformation. His eyes turned gold, and his eyes also turned cat-eye-like. Black fur grew out from his skin as well as a tail.

Remin then activated his Elemental Body as well, turning his figure into a shadow while maintaining his golden eyes. Then he took out his swords, two short swords, and he held them with inverse grips. He was ready to confront the icy figure.

”I would like to have a fight against you, but unfortunately, you are not my prey~”

The icy figure sped up and went past him, but there was no way he would allow that to happen. He was being serious when he said he would delay Tang Shaoyang’s force by himself. His hand blurred, moving in a weird way to reach the icy figure’s neck.

Clank!

However, a spear came down from above, hitting his sword. He looked up, but there was no one on top.

”Thanks for the support, old man! Even though I don’t really need your help ~” Radiance waved his hand toward the far back, ”But I truly appreciate your help, albeit unnecessary.”

Remin moved backward, looking around cautiously. He was trying to find who threw the spear. It wasn’t until a figure appeared ten meters away from him. This figure was not alone; he was accompanied by four more people. His eyes locked on the figure that stood in the front because of the spear.

Nine spears floated behind that figure’s back, floating. That spear was the same spear that stopped his sword. However, his eyes quickly moved toward the armor. Three of them wore the same black armor, but the armor was not the issue; it was the two emblems on their capes.

He didn’t recognize the emblem on top, but he certainly recognized the emblem below. That emblem belonged to the Hurakan Kingdom, one of the void gatekeepers. Their official name was Guardian, but the other factions called them gatekeepers, because they had been keeping the Void Gate far too long, beyond the Shadow Star’s history.

”Tch. You can express gratitude without those unnecessary words. Youngsters today don’t respect the elders,” Gianni shook his head, walking past Remin without a second glance.

”What are you talking about, Grandfather? Radiance might be older than you,” The one with the same armor chimed in, totally ignoring Remin.

Remin didn’t recognize the knight-armored figure, but he recognized the fifth one. That armor was certainly the armor of the Hurakan Kingdom’s army. He was struck with a realization that the Hurakan Kingdom might be involved in this fight. That explained why the new Executive Administrator confidently attacked the Shadow Stars despite being part of the Ten Stars Accord.

He knew about the Spirit Contractor, but only a little. He didn’t connect them as summoned spirits. The first thought that came into his mind was that the Hurakan Kingdom helped Tang Shaoyang.

Some information popped into his head: Tang Shaoyang’s biggest achievement that contributed to his promotion to the Executive Administrator. Tang Shaoyang killed one of the three Emperors from the Void Cult, and he did it at the gate where the Hurakan Kingdom was stationed.

It explained why the neutral force, such as the Hurakan Kingdom, was willing to lend a hand to Tang Shaoyang. It was not an exaggeration to say that Tang Shaoyang saved a lot of the Hurakan Kingdom’s knights that were stationed in their Void Gate.

Whether it was reasonable or not, the Hurakan Kingdom should not get involved in this battle. They were a neutral faction, being respected because they were guarding the Void Gate. No one really bothered them because of their special status.

But that special status was to be changed with their involvement in this war. The Ten Stars Accord would not let this slide, and he would make sure that happened.

”Why? Why is the Hurakan Kingdom getting involved in this war!? Aren’t you afraid of what would come after this war!?” Remin raised his voice.

When he mentioned the Hurakan Kingdom, Gianni, Mathias, Nicolas, and Ruben halted their steps. Jovrick also stopped, and they turned toward Remin at the same time. They were surprised that people would recognize them.

Gianni was confused at first, but then he glanced at his descendant’s capes. It made sense why they were getting recognized as someone from the Hurakan Kingdom.

”Ah, you mean this cape?” Gianni tore the cape and burned it with his fire, ”Unfortunately, we are not part of the Hurakan Kingdom. Our involvement has nothing to do with the Hurakan Kingdom.”

”Do you take me as a joke!?” Remin was genuinely angered, ”Do you think you are not part of the Hurakan Kingdom just because you burned that cape of yours? I will ensure the Hurakan Kingdom will pay for their involvement in this invasion!”

He was not joking about that. While he was filled with anger, he didn’t lose his composure. He reported the Hurakan Kingdom’s involvement to his fellow Elders. Not just his fellow Elders, but also to the Ten Stars Accord.

Remin at first refused to get the Ten Stars Accord involved in this war, but he didn’t have any choice when he found the people from the Hurakan Kingdom. This would bring a wave of war to the God Realm once more.

Once a powerhouse such as the Hurakan Kingdom and the Ten Stars Accord moved, their enemies would also make a move to take advantage. A top alliance and faction, such as the Ten Stars Accord and the Hurakan Kingdom, had a lot of enemies.

They were feared, but that didn’t mean they didn’t have enemies. In fact, the top powerhouse like them had a lot of enemies. Their enemies didn’t make a move because they didn’t have a chance. If a chance was presented, their enemies would not hesitate to make a move against them.

’Unfortunately, I might not be able to witness this realm-changing war.’ That was what was in Remin’s thoughts.
