Chapter 2054: Substantial Growth

Tang Shaoyang spent most of his time in the Tang Garden. The following day after returning from the auction, Henriette showed up for her apprenticeship. She brought her daughter, but not her husband. She mentioned how annoying her husband was.

He didn’t pry into their private issue and let them be. If not for Li Shuang and Kang Xue, he would decline the meeting invitation. He still didn’t know why Li Shuang and Kang Xue agreed to the meeting until now, not that he cared either. In fact, he was quite happy that her daughter made a new friend.

Filomena was quite shy at first, but they got closer when they returned together after touring the Tang Garden. They had lunch together and continued watching Elnar creating the new home for the Beast Spirit.

Azhug knew he liked his horse, so his Chief Caretaker prioritized the stable for Temporal Venox. Despite giving off a fierce impression, Temporal Venox was a herbivore. Its main diet was fruits, but not just any random fruit.

Its favorite food was the Red Banana and the Golden Carrot. Liora set up a garden mainly to grow those two types of fruit. There were some veggies mixed as well, with complicated names that he did not bother to remember.

Tang Shaoyang watched the Temporal Venox from outside the fence as it grazed around the field that connected to the stable. Azhug was next to him, along with his daughters.

”When can I ride it?”

He never rode a horse in his life, but he remembered that riding a horse was once the rich’s hobby. He once followed his boss to ride a horse. Back then, he didn’t understand why those people were willing to pay that much for horse riding, but he understood it now.

”You can ride it right away, Boss. He will not throw you down because he knows you are his master. But you should give him a name, Boss. That will deepen your bond with him.”

Azhug whistled, and the Temporal Venox snapped toward their direction. He didn’t run toward them right away, but the moment he noticed Tang Shaoyang, he immediately ran to them.

Tang Shaoyang observed the running horse, how gallant it was. He thought he might not have a favorite animal, but he might find one. The Temporal Venox arrived in front of him in the blink of an eye and nuzzled him gently.

He petted the horse gently, nodding approvingly, ”Your name is Red Monarch.”

The Temporal Venox neighed, standing up with his hind legs before running. Red Monarch ran one lap in his grazing field, and he finished that one lap in five seconds. That was a testament to how fast he was, and he was genuinely excited with his new name.

”How is your hand fine, Daddy?” Tang Xiulan was excited, but she remained cautious because of the fire. She saw her father touch the flaming mane, stroking the flame gently, yet she noticed the flame didn’t burn her father’s hand.

”It’s because I am not his enemy. Red Monarch’s fire only hurt his enemy.” Tang Shaoyang picked his daughter up, ”Are you Red Monarch’s enemy?”

”Of course not!” Tang Xiulan’s eyes shone brightly, and she didn’t hesitate to put her hand on the flaming mane. She was told the fire didn’t hurt her, but it still surprised her that the fire didn’t burn her hand.

After a while, he picked Li Jiaying, Li Yue, Cecilia, and Filomena in turn. Filomena and Cecilia were hesitant and afraid at first, but they were genuinely shocked to find out the fire didn’t burn their hands.

After a brief introduction, Tang Shaoyang took a ride on the Red Monarch by himself. Not because he didn’t want to bring his daughter with him, but because he didn’t have horse riding experience.

”This is my first time riding a horse, so be gentle...” That was when he found out that the Red Monarch was quite mischievous as well. He made a hundred-meter dash in a second that almost threw him off. Fortunately, he held tightly to the leash.

After two laps, Tang Shaoyang was confident to bring his daughters with him. Tang Xiulan got her turn first. His daughter had no fear, truly. She raised her hands to the air, letting out a happy laughter as the Red Monarch took off.

”Faster! Go faster, Red Monarch!”

Li Jiaying, Li Yue, Cecilia, and Filomena got their turns after. With how tame the Red Monarch, Tang Shaoyang brought his mount out of the stable for a walk. He could bring the five girls together on top with how big the Red Monarch was. Tang Xiulan, the fearless one, was sitting on his neck, holding his hair. She was having too much fun with the ride while the other four were cautious, still afraid of falling.

Their next destination was to check on the Dog House. That was what it was called because it would be the home of the dog-like Beast Spirit. The moment they arrived at the Dog House, the first one to greet them was the family of Olarune. The fluffy Beast Spirit barked, greeting them as a family before the giant dog, Highland Tiberian, also came to greet them.

The two mischievous bundles ambushed Li Yue the moment she touched the ground from the side. The Snow Muiryin was not here as it was still in training. Tang Shaoyang didn’t stay that much longer in the Dog House. However, he made eye contact with the giant Highland Tiberian before leaving.

His glare was telling it to watch out for his daughters’ safety, and it understood as it nodded in response. Then he left the Dog House, checking on the new expansion with his mount.

Watching the expansion of the Tang Garden and how his new class grew steadily was fun. Especially when he got to see his daughters’ laughter all the time. He also had fun with his mount, having his daily horse-riding. The Temporal Venox was not bothered by the snow area.

While having his daily fun riding, Tang Shaoyang checked on his gained stats. The reason he picked the Shepherd of Beast Spirit was for the bonus attributes. He had 56 Beast Spirits right now; he expected he should have gained substantial attributes.

Without a doubt, he got many more attributes than before, and he started to see that this might not be a wrong choice of class if he really wanted attributes. He realized that the Demi-God Rank Beast Spirit and above gave him -Star attributes. That told him that he would get more attributes if he raised his Beast Spirit’s ranks. Raising his bond level also affects the bonus attributes.

”Let Azhug and the others settle down first, then we can add more Beast Spirits later on,” Tang Shaoyang recalled the cost of running the Tang Garden. ”I need to cleanse the abandoned world regularly...” He had enough money to maintain the Tang Garden, but the cost of expansion was also a lot.

[Maybe you should start your own merchant company as well. Remember your antidote for the Void Poison? That might sell well based on Elonia’s reaction.]

Karan gave him a rare piece of advice, and it was actually a good idea. He didn’t want to make his Beast Spirit a business, but he could open a business with his other products.

”I will bring the idea to Li Shuang later.”

When he pitched the idea to his wife, she already had a plan. But first, she asked him to visit the God Realm. He could bring Li Shuang to his territory, but he could not bring her to the God Realm Starter City. He was tasked with checking the price for potions and antidotes, and also asked to buy a few potions.

Li Shuang needed a sample of how good their potion was compared to the potions sold in the God Realm. The main task was to find out the price for Void Poison Antidote. That was a preparation for their next meeting with the Cladeos Emporium.
