Chapter 2082: I Will Do it My Own Way

Arion shook his head when he saw the disbelieving looks on the leaders of the Ten Stars Accord. He didn’t understand what these people were thinking when they came up with such an idea.

’Maybe they think we will not side with Tang Shaoyang because he is a new Executive Administrator.’

That was the logical explanation, assuming Tang Shaoyang didn’t have influence on the Administrator. That was a wrong assumption if they truly thought so. There might be a political fight within the Administrator, but they would unite when attacked by a third party.

”If you are unsatisfied with our judgment, then you can proceed further. You should know how to do it, right? Or do you need my help for that?” Arion maintained his professional smile that further annoyed the Ten Stars Accord’s people.

Arthorn kept his silence, and so did the others. At this point, they realized the talk was pointless. Their plan to get something from this conflict was zero. Even if they processed the complaint further and found Tang Shaoyang was at fault, they would not get what they wanted: the compensation.

This was a losing fight, and they knew they must accept it unless they wanted to fight against more Executive Administrators.

Arion turned toward Tang Shaoyang, giving him a wink. Hearing nothing from the Ten Stars Accord, he waved his hand, ”Let’s go back since the complaint has been resolved. Close the gate, Adam!”

The splitting sky closed, none from the Ten Stars Accord attempted to jump off like Isidrus, even though they could.

Tang Shaoyang looked at the closed sky. He knew Arion was on his side, helping him. But that was the problem; he didn’t need Arion’s help. He wanted the remaining people to come at him just like the first one. Killing those leaders without their army would be easier.

”It’s time to wrap this up,” Avyn finally looked away from the sky as she said that, ”If we remain here, the Ten Stars Accord will come with their full force.”

”That’s what we have been waiting for, no? I want to pull their main force to me, so my plan will work. I think they are angry enough to move their full force after I kill that one dude,” Tang Shaoyang didn’t want to leave yet, not until he lured the Ten Stars Accord’s army.

[Just for information, my seal has been broken when your friend forcefully opened the portal. It means the Shadow Stars’ reinforcement will arrive soon.] Zara reminded him as well.

Tang Shaoyang clicked his tongue, got annoyed even more, ”They really ruined my plan, huh?”

With the seal broken, the Ten Stars Accord would not take that much effort to get into this place. The worst part was the fact that this world was no longer isolated. While the Ten Stars Accord had enemies, they had allies as well. With the easy access, their allies would be willing to help them.

He took a deep breath, circulating his breathing technique to calm himself down. He closed his eyes and stayed like that for twenty seconds. That calmed him a little as he made a decision, ”Gather the bodies. We will leave for our next destination.”

The Shadow Star was not his only target, but also the Daenelis Clan. The root of all this was the Daenelis Clan, after all. He knew Khaya had nothing to do with her Chief’s plan, but that didn’t mean he would let it be. As he said, he would let the world find out what it meant to become his enemies.

It took some time to gather the God Rank’s dead bodies. It was hard to differentiate them when they were lying down lifelessly. After an hour scavenging the dead bodies, he was ready to leave.

Tang Shaoyang was about to leave when he sensed a strong aura coming toward him. He turned toward the direction. It was the direction where the Shadow Star’s main base was.

”Let’s fight them!” Karan also sensed the incoming army and was excited for another battle.

”No! We are done here! Let’s leave!”

The Daenelis Clan

Khaya heeded Tang Shaoyang’s warning. She took the warning seriously and told her family what happened. She didn’t come from a prominent family within the clan.

Her family comprised her grandmother, who had retired from the battle a long time ago. She lost her father and had been living with her mother, who remarried. From her mother’s second marriage, she got two little brothers. However, she was still the strongest within her family, and her two step-brothers looked up to her. It was a harmonious family, even though he rarely spent her time with her family.

She didn’t waste her time and told her family what happened in the meeting the moment she returned. When she said they had to leave, no one objected to her. An Executive Administrator was coming for their clan; this might be the end of the Daenelis Clan.

After warning her family, she warned the people she cared for as well. No, she ended by announcing to everyone in the clan and letting them make the decision by themselves. That was when he was confronted by Chief Avourel.

Chief Avourel tried to persuade them to stay and fight together with them. He tried to assure her that the Tang Empire didn’t have that many God Ranks in the first place. On top of that, he told her how he had contacted mercenaries as well. He mentioned how the God Order was the one who hired the mercenary for them.

Chief Avourel mentioned who this mercenary faction was. It was called the Serpent Star, part of the Ten Stars Accord. He thought he might be able to convince Khaya to stay and fight with them, but Khaya straight refused.

People only knew about his new status as an Executive Administrator. People underestimated him because it was not that long until he reached the God Rank and became the Administrator. However, she knew more about Tang Shaoyang and how scary his spirits were.

She had experienced the integration and experienced how strong he became. Through that spirit, she had a few exchanges with the spirit and understood more about Tang Shaoyang’s strength. One thing was for sure: she had not witnessed her captain go all out. Not even when he fought against the Emperor of the Void Cult.

Khaya outright refused to stay. She even tried to persuade Chief Avourel to leave as well, not just him, but the other Elders as well. They ignored her warning and went their separate way.

She thought they would not try to stop her from leaving with her family, but she was wrong about it. The moment she returned, her home was surrounded by Chief Avourel and the Elders. Not just the Elders, but their elite force also joined, though not all of them seemed to agree to fight her.

She was surrounded by her forty-two clansmen, and a fight broke out. Chief Avourel deemed her a traitor and wanted to execute her and her family. That was when a fight broke out, and they failed to kill her after more than sixteen hours.

She could not bear to let their fight harm the innocent bystanders, so she lured them out of the fight outside the city. The impact of their fight on their surroundings was quite devastating. Massive craters were formed here and there. Once, a beautiful forest was devastated.

Khaya breathed heavily, watching the people who surrounded her. In those sixteen hours, she killed one Elder and five God Ranks from her clan. But she was reaching her limit already, and Chief Avourel was aware of that.

He clearly looked relieved and relaxed a little bit. He knew that Khaya was the strongest within their clan. She was the reason why the other clans didn’t actively try to attack the Daenelis Clan.

However, if he had to choose between strong backers like the God Order and Khaya. He would choose the God Order without hesitation. Their backing would secure their clan, and in fact, the God Order might help them to expand. It was an easy decision. It was a pity to lose someone as strong as Khaya, but it was her decision that led to this situation.

”You might be our ace and the first Elf who would be the Executive Administrator. You will be the main pillar of our clan, and it will be just a matter of time until you replace me. However, you end up making the wrong decision, Khaya.” The disappointment was obvious on Chief Avourel’s expression.

Khaya laughed without restraint, as if she heard something funny even though she was about to die.

”This bitch has gone nuts because she knows she is about to die!” Arsus remarked as the dying beauty.

”Even if I die today, you will follow me in suit. Do you think he became an Executive Traitor through luck?” Then she clicked her tongue, ”Stop with your nonsense and come at me. Maybe I can kill one or two more to make his job easier to kill you all. At least this is the best I can do to atone for my mistake!”

”I don’t need your help. How many times do I have to repeat myself? I will do it my own way!”

Khaya’s eyes widened in surprise when she heard the familiar voice. Not just her, Chief Avourel, and the others were shocked when they heard the voice. They didn’t sense his presence until he spoke.

Chief Avourel turned around and found a creature made of black flame staring at him. His heart skipped a beat as he immediately created distance from this figure. Not just him, but the others followed him in suit, breaking their encirclement on Khaya.
