Chapter 2061: Consequences (5)

”Never crossed my mind that I would have the chance to see Lord Geralt in such a sorry state,” a woman with black, tight leather armor said. She floated toward the middle among the thirteen seven figures in the sky, looking down at Geralt, who was struggling.

None of them charged at Tang Shaoyang to save their leader. They watched everything from above, as if they were waiting for Tang Shaoyang to kill Geralt.

”WHAT ARE YOU DOING? KILL HIM!? HE IS THE ATTACKER! IF YOU KILL HIM, ALL THOSE SUMMONS WILL DISAPPEAR ALONG WITH HIM!”

Geralt didn’t know why his regeneration didn’t work. Despite his high Vitality, his lower half didn’t regenerate. He understood why his energy was in chaos, but he didn’t understand his natural regeneration. He was bleeding out, but he knew he would not die from this as well. As if Tang Shaoyang purposely left him in this state.

”It’s not too late for us to kill him after he kills you.”

That was when Geralt came to the realization that they wanted him dead so they could replace him as the Shadow Star’s leader. That was why it took them a long time to get here.

”I told you not to mess with the administrator, not to accept that stupid request. You reap what you sow,” A man with a wooden mask that was painted white spoke, glancing at Tang Shaoyang, ”I don’t mind if you kill him, but it’s different if you are attacking us. You will have to pay with your life for what you have done.”

”That’s right, kill him! Get over it, so we can get rid of you right away before the damage becomes too big!”

Tang Shaoyang found it funny that Geralt’s subordinates wanted him dead. He looked down at the pitiful man, ”Isn’t this tragic? They want me to kill you.”

Geralt’s eyes were red, and veins seemed to appear in them. His breathing was ragged as he could not believe it.

”But you don’t need to worry, Geralt. I won’t kill you.”

The Shadow Star’s leader turned toward Tang Shaoyang in surprise, not expecting to hear this from Tang Shaoyang. He thought this Executive Administrator wanted to kill him the most out of people for taking the request.

”You know, I have this bad habit of letting my enemy suffer first before killing them. For your case, I will keep you alive and let you witness how I destroy your dearly beloved Shadow Star. I will show you the consequences for pointing your sword at me, Geralt.”

Tang Shaoyang patted Geralt’s head with his left leg, ”Stay there and witness it to the end, Geralt. That’s your last job: to stay alive. Don’t let them kill you.”

”This guy truly thinks he could leave this place alive,” One of the thirteen-seven figures spoke in disbelief, ”I know that there is some mental issue with the Executive Administrator, but I don’t think this one would have it since he is new to the position. I guess you will get that illness once you become an Executive Administrator.”

Tang Shaoyang just let out a chuckle at the mockery. Then he noticed a black beam from afar. The night became a good cover for the beam as it targeted one of the thirty-seven figures in the sky. The target was too late to notice. By the time he noticed the danger, it turned around only to see a beam right before his face.

He raised his hand that was covered in energy in haste to block the beam. His hand was blasted into smithereens, and at the impact, his body was blasted away.

”I think you guys made the wrong choice by ignoring them to come here.”

Then a shadow swooped into the blasted body. Kaiser caught the body midair and nibbled the head. That happened too fast, and nobody from the thirty-seven figures expected this to happen. It was common sense that summons were weaker than the master. They thought those spirits and skeletons were at most at the weaker side of the God Rank, thinking their subordinates were enough to handle these summons while they were taking care of the main issue.

Kaiser absorbed the bones from the dead and threw the flesh, ”It’s delicious bones. Can I have more, Master? This is quite a lot for you, no?”

The Abyssal-Rubi Draconic Skeleton didn’t wait for an answer as his ruby-skeletal figure blurred, charging at one of the figures. In a flash, Kaiser brought one away from Tang Shaoyang. As if he were afraid that his Master would say no.

What happened alarmed the remaining thirty-five figures. It didn’t take long before they noticed that the temperature suddenly rose. That was when they noticed a black bird came from above, trying to swoop at one of them.

Baccara noticed the black beam and found these people. She picked her opponent and swooped in, dragging the wary opponent without saying anything. In fact, she pretended not to see Tang Shaoyang.

Not long after the black phoenix, Zephyr also swooped in. The Black Wind Calamity also dragged one of them, leaving them with thirty-three figures. They were surprised that two of their friends got dragged without being able to do anything.

The sudden development put them into disarray, being more careful and sharp in their surroundings. The next one was the Behemoth that landed not far from them. The ground shook as the building was destroyed by the massive behemoth. Doombringer opened his mouth and shot out a high condensed black energy.

Out of thirty-three figures, thirty-one of them managed to dodge in time. They spread out, leaving two people in the path of the attack. Those two put up a barrier to block it, and they were swept by it. Doombringer let out an excited roar as he jumped high into the sky, ignoring the thirty-one and chasing the two that got swept into his attack.

The remaining thirty-one figures were spread out, and then a giant shadow came from above. The massive wyvern they had ignored earlier came back for one of them. Aerelion picked one and brought that one into his domain. The massive wyvern disappeared along with one of them.

”I should stay with you, huh, Boss? The strong ones are always attracted to you. No wonder I can’t find good goods for my experiment. If you don’t mind, I will be taking five of them.”

The remaining thirty looked up and found a Lich floating above them. None of them could sense the Lich despite how close they were. In the blink of an eye, five of them disappeared along with the Lich. Vandir brought five of them into his domain whilst letting out excited laughter.

That was not the end, Jovrick the Forsaken Infernal Knight appeared next to Tang Shaoyang, ”It’s a knight’s duty to protect his master. I will be taking one too, My Lord.”

The forsaken knight seemed to pick up his peers’ habit, bringing one of the twenty-five people into his domain without waiting for his answer. Right after, Jovrick, Gianni, Nikolas, Mathias, and Ruben also returned. They never left that far from Tang Shaoyang.

Gianni said something, ”As the youngest, you will take care of the permit, Mathias.” The Lysvand Family returned and took one into their domain. Gianni and Nikolas picked their opponent first before leaving Mathias and Ruben.

”You will take care of the permit for us, Ruben.”

Mathias then disappeared into his domain with his chosen opponent, leaving Ruben. The honest soldier had a troubled look, but Tang Shaoyang waved his hand at the poor soldier. Ruben picked one and disappeared as well.

From thirty-seven figures, they were now left with just twenty.

Karan, who had been quiet next to Tang Shaoyang, could no longer stay calm. He threw his axes at two people, then he jumped from the building. He lunged at another one, throwing a punch at the third one. The first two were pushed backward, and the third one, who received his punch, was sent flying.

Then he went after the two who blocked his axes and dragged toward the third one that got blasted onto the building.

”I will take three before the others take them!” That was Karan’s last word that echoed in the lively city.

”Then I will also help you to lessen your burden as well,” Avyn smiled beautifully as her body burst out into a cold aura. She appeared in the middle of five people. Then she disappeared along with those five people.

Of course, Zara didn’t want to lose out. She walked out and appeared in front of the three people. Then she brought them into her domain without saying anything. In the span of a few minutes, the number dwindled to nine people, leaving the nine people flabbergasted.

”To be honest, I don’t expect them to leave me with nine people. I expect...”

Tang Shaoyang did not finish his words as Galeon the Archdemon and Orlean the Demon God. Each demon picked one and disappeared into their domain. Not long after the two demons, Maldros the Stormbringer, zapped them in the form of thunder and disappeared.

Bronson the Demonic Slayer and Yowe the Spear Saint also returned in a flash. The two undead picked their opponent as well. In the blink of an eye, another five disappeared as well, leaving four figures.

”That’s enough, these four are mine!” Tang Shaoyang sensed that around seven spirits lingered around him. If he didn’t say that, those seven would fight for these four, and he would be left with nothing.
