Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 422: Chapter 275: Tier Two

...

”Boom...”

The Yanbei Pass city walls stretched to the surrounding three peaks, with a tower built on each peak.

Intense vibrations spread all the way to the Seaview Tower at the northernmost part of the theater.

In the ancient and traditional tower filled with various detection devices, a group of blond, blue-eyed foreigners gazed silently at the distant battlefield. Suddenly, a white man who seemed to be the leader said, ”Are you sure Black Kite is just negotiating with a small faction?”

The subordinate from Heavy Cherry Blossom held onto a nearly worn-out document, bravely nodded, ”According to Deep Blue data, that’s the case, a small faction with less than two thousand people...”

”It’s one thing for a small faction of two thousand to carry heavy weapons like railguns, but they also have electromagnetic armor?!”

”Within ten minutes of the battle, Black Kite lost over ten regular special operations teams, and there are more than three high-energy reactions above Tier Two!”

”More than thirty high-energy reactions above Tier One!”

”Our entire Pan-Asian Alliance has only two evolvers at Tier Two!”

”Are you telling me this is a low-intensity localized war in Donghuang?!”

The Heavy Cherry Blossom people’s faces were pale, their eyes darting, ”Could it be the treacherous Donghuang people are setting us up?”

”Idiot, that’s not important anymore. Now, immediately, recall the teams we’ve sent out!”

”Our communication devices can’t transmit that far...”

”The armed train has dispatched a large number of personnel to engage Black Kite, the rear is empty, and our team might have already captured the Genetic Primordial and is on their way back...”

...

Behind the armed train.

A few foreigners mixed with a dozen Asians knelt on the ground, trembling.

Tong Zizhan, looking ashen, stood to the side. Normally abstaining from tobacco and alcohol, he was now smoking one after another, as soldiers next to him supplied cigarettes, constantly flattering him.

These days, who doesn’t like a superior who can lead the subordinates to achievements?

Especially significant achievements like this.

Over a hundred armed soldiers surrounded the dozen captives, their eyes shining brightly.

This, damn, is all merit. Besides being exchangeable for points, it can also raise military rank.

The hardest currency on the train.

Without exception.

Gao Yuan glanced at his watch, walked over to Tong Zizhan, and said in a low voice, ”Hurry up and decide, kill or keep?”

Tong Zizhan’s expression was uncertain, ”With so many people watching, even if I want to secretly kill them, how could I manage that?”

Gao Yuan looked at the soldiers keeping a vigilant watch on the captives, and sighed deeply.

”Where did all these people pop out from?”

”Hell if I know.”

Tong Zizhan stubbed out his cigarette and stepped forward to interrogate.

As a professional undercover agent, though not as specialized as others, the language barrier was nonexistent.

Soon, he figured out the other party’s origin.

Hearing the name Pan-Asian Alliance, Tong Zizhan and Gao Yuan exchanged glances.

This wasn’t a major force in Donghuang but rather a ”faction” hastily formed by Asian countries other than Donghuang after the apocalypse. Although large in numbers, they couldn’t be called ”major.”

Even the two of them had only read about this organization in their company’s internal documents.

Gao Yuan said, ”Weren’t they negotiating with Black Kite? How did the Pan-Asian Alliance people get involved?”

Tong Zizhan gritted his teeth, ”Most likely the company sold the information, trying to muddy the waters. Once I get back, I’m definitely going to give them a piece of my mind!”

The white man, seeing Tong Zizhan’s fierce expression, quickly added, ”We dispatched two teams, the other also led by a Tier One Evolver, taking a different route to the armed train.”

Upon hearing this, Tong Zizhan’s headache intensified, angrily kicking the man in the mouth.

”Damn it, fuck!”

”Captain, what did he say?”

The surrounding soldiers curiously asked.

Tong Zizhan was about to say nothing, but his glance swept around, noticing many soldiers eager to move, and he broke into a cold sweat.

The ones he led weren’t illiterates. With the level of educational attainment in Donghuang, at least ten out of a hundred would understand the sentence!

He could only grit his teeth and say, ”Someone’s raiding the train, deal with the captives, prepare to counterattack!”

...

Armed train.

A dozen people were stealthily climbing around the buildings surrounding the armed train.

A Heavy Cherry Blossom individual returned to a bedroom on the top floor and whispered, ”The train has been stationary for half a day, only occasionally providing artillery support. We can use Sato’s abilities to sneak in directly from the deck.”

All eyes turned to the leader of this mission, a Heavy Cherry Blossom person with a small mustache.

Sato, a professional Tier One ”Shadow Reflect,” was fundamentally the same as Tong Zizhan’s profession, a Tier One ”Dusk Robe,” differing only due to cultural naming.

Sato looked down at the armed train below with some unease.

But seeing the expectant gazes of his subordinates behind him, he resolutely drew his waist knife, ”For the glory of Heavy Cherry Blossom!”

”For the glory of Heavy Cherry Blossom!”

The group cheerfully responded.

Then, they climbed down the high-rise building, Sato activated his skill to conceal everyone’s presence, leapt onto the deck, glanced left and right, and quickly hid in the train’s blind spot.

At the train’s command post, a bespectacled person pushed up his glasses.

”One Tier One, a dozen unranked, notify the conductor to capture them.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a researcher stood up and said, ”Director Xu just notified us that an evolver with stealth capabilities is needed for research...”

The bespectacled person paused, then looked at the sneaky individuals on the screen.

”They came for them...”

”Then inform the combat group to let them pass and have someone from the crew guide them.”

The bespectacled person thought for a moment and said.

A crew member suddenly exclaimed, ”They’ve entered the dining car.”

The bespectacled person frowned, ”Who’s there?”

”Lin Xi! Shall we notify the combat group?”
