Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 112: Chapter 106: Life-Skills Sniper

Su Huan came to the dining car, put down the bowl, and saw He Jie teaching Lao San and several others how to self-check their firearms and how much ammunition to carry on a mission.

”You’re Lao Er, right? Your role is a raider, so why are you carrying so much ammo?”

”You have an Iron Guard assault rifle in your hands, one magazine holds 40 bullets. Six magazines make a standard load. Can’t you do such simple multiplication?”

”What are you standing there for?”

”Armor-piercing rounds, high-explosive rounds, are you planning to pick them up on the battlefield?! Idiot!”

He Jie turned his hawk-like gaze to Lao San, who stood nearby, ”What are you holding that assault rifle that’s like a stick for?!”

”Tell me, what is your role?!”

Lao San immediately stood upright, puffing out his chest, ”Firepower Hand!”

He Jie took two steps forward, his powerful chest pressing against Lao San, bellowing like a beast, spat flying, ”Then tell me what you’re doing with an assault rifle in your hands? When the bullets run out, are you going to support your teammates with firepower suppression by using your mouth?!”

Lao San’s face turned red, not out of defiance, but out of shame.

He was used to carrying an assault rifle during usual times, forgetting his role when it came time for a mission.

Being called out like this in front of the train conductor was utterly embarrassing.

”No, sir!”

”Then what are you waiting for to change your weapon? Waiting for me to tell you how many ammo belts to bring for the light machine gun? Did your gym teacher also teach you math?!”

”And you, as a secondary shooter, what are you waiting for to carry more ammunition? Do you think you’re fine with just two rocket launchers? Where’s your secondary weapon? Are you planning to use that little girly pistol to fight someone? When the two shells don’t hit the target, are you going to use your little girly pistol to kill yourself?!”

”It’s a tactical pistol...”

The Boss tried to explain.

But He Jie rebuffed him more firmly, ”9mm pistol, it’s a self-defense handgun, I said so, any objections?! Using this thing to defend yourself on the battlefield, you might as well use the rocket launcher to blow your butt open in advance. Once on the battlefield, just give yourself a shot, it feels much better than your little girly pistol!”

”...”

Under He Jie’s roaring curses, the three new recruits embarrassingly began to change their equipment.

But He Jie’s foul language didn’t stop, constantly strengthening the panic-stricken young hearts of the three.

Only when Su Huan arrived did he finally shut his mouth, his angry look also immediately restrained, with a touch of complexity, ”I find it hard to imagine that you wiped out eighteen of my men with soldiers of this caliber.”

Su Huan calmly said, ”Because you see war, I see the result.”

”You’re a bit like those directors and politicians.”

”Each in his place and minding his duties, that’s all. These three brothers are my firepower squad, you’d better train them well. If you can’t train them well...”

He Jie replied sourly, ”If I can’t train them well, you’ll make these three idiots stroll in front of me every day to disgust me, right?”

Su Huan patted his shoulder, hard as stone, ”I believe you can train them into the best warriors.”

Soon, everyone was ready.

Strictly speaking, this was the first team operation of the armed train.

Last time at the arsenal, it relied entirely on Su Huan alone to carry, the others only served to distract attention.

This time, a proper coordinated operation was to be conducted.

Yu Jing and Wan Xing were both considered late-stage careers, and it was hard for them to exert fight power in the early stages, so neither the Maker nor Gatherer was included in the combat list.

However, since they needed to search for exoskeletons this time, they brought Yu Jing along.

Xiaoba was very strong in combat, but since Su Huan was getting off the train, he had to stay on board to hold the fort, and Huang Sea was a Maker, so there was no need for him to get off.

So those who got off were Yu Yue, He Jie, the Lao San brothers, Zhang Kai, Liang Kuan, plus himself.

The total combat personnel added up to just eight people.

According to the habits of the past life, a combat team should have a core, generally a leader.

Like the Steel Council in the past life, every soldier had a group of followers and Servant Soldiers, all of their abilities focused on supporting that ”soldier.”

For example, the major Su Huan followed, whose main job was to charge various equipment, ensuring their continued combat readiness.

The major had two other Tier One followers, one for close combat protection to prevent assassination, the other was a ”Trace Expert,” specialized in tracking.

The remaining dozen Servant Soldiers did all sorts of chores.

It was precisely because of this uniqueness.

In later stages, the Steel Council team had long departed from traditional military modes, becoming a ”private army” centered around high-tier Evolvers.

Greatly enhancing the Evolvers’ strengths while covering weaknesses.

But due to this uniqueness, it was hard for the Steel Council later to reclaim their private armies below.

Like if Liang Kuan, a melee Evolver, got someone like the major’s team, could they lead the ”Trace Expert” to bash people with shields?

So the core of a team’s combat style absolutely couldn’t be changed.

Initially, Su Huan also wanted to build a team with himself as the core.

But ever since Yu Yue showed outstanding sniper qualities, he felt it was off.

From a professional standpoint, she’s the one constructing the whole team’s communication, but from a battlefield division, she’s also the sniper with the greatest killing power.

Except for not advancing to Tier One yet, Su Huan couldn’t find a reason why she couldn’t be the core.

”What am I supposed to do?”

Yu Yue, dressed in dark gray casual clothes, with some tactical gear for holding bullets and other items, holding the Night Owl sniper rifle stood in front of him, with a hint of expectation in her eyes.
