Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 340: Chapter 246: Battle of the Floating Sea—Mad Witch! (3)

After immobilizing his target, Isaac followed procedure, drawing upon the Magic Power of the Dimension World to begin concentrating a Magic Cannon—and a maximum-power one at that!

Although the Dimension World could not be easily opened, drawing upon its Infinite Magic Power was no problem at all.

A series of complex and bizarre Magic Arrays lit up across the sky. Their strange, malevolent radiance showered the land, drawing the eyes of all who were present.

As erudite Wizards, they recognized the foundation of Isaac’s Magic Cannon with a single glance. After all, Isaac had made no attempt to conceal it. The evil, Mysterious, and [Profound] characteristic of the Magic Power from the Dimension World was truly unforgettable!

Forget the Wizards; even the Barbarian Knights who had come with them could understand what was happening.

After all, one glance at the crimson Magic Array covering more than half the sky over the sea region was enough to tell something was wrong.

A moment later, as everyone watched with grave expressions, the crimson radiance of the Magic Array in the sky reached its peak and then suddenly condensed. The celestial Magic Array contracted with it, gathering into a singularity before transforming into a beam of Magic Power. It descended, instantly vaporizing the High-level Mage that Isaac had immobilized.

The scattered islands below were also obliterated, dissipating into fine dust.

Beneath the blast of the Magic Cannon, the Floating Sea Region roared madly, as if venting its displeasure at Isaac. Isaac glanced at the raging waves, his eyes narrowing slightly. His figure then transformed into a stream of Magic Power and vanished.

’If it’s angry, let it be angry. What the hell does it have to do with me?’

’The mission is the priority. It’s pretty much confirmed that here on this battlefield, 99% of the Wizards are no match for me. As long as no Tier Four Mages make a move, I can go on a rampage!’

’This whole place is crawling with walking mission points!’

Flying over the howling Floating Sea, Isaac periodically fired purplish-red Magic Beams from his fingertips, piercing through the Mechanical God Sect’s deployed Mechanical Bodies and defensive modules one by one.

Among their group, although Isaac possessed Authority Magic that specialized in attacking the Wizards of the Mechanical God Sect, he paradoxically wasn’t assigned to target their High-level Mages.

The reason was simple: counters are always relative.

If Isaac could develop methods to counter the Mechanical God Sect’s Wizards, then the other side could naturally develop methods to counter him. And they would be faster, because this was a War!

A War between two behemoth Wizard Organizations!

It wouldn’t be easy for an ordinary High-level Mage to overcome Isaac’s methods. But what about a Tier Four Miracle Mage? Or even a Tier Five Legendary Mage?

Therefore, Isaac had to guard against not only the enemy’s potential counter-tactics but also the possibility of their top powerhouses taking the field to eliminate him directly!

After all, in this world, the simplest counter is absolute power!

So, for this mission—or rather, this War—Isaac had only one goal besides climbing the rankings: self-preservation!

It sounded a bit absurd, since the act of climbing the rankings didn’t exactly align with those two words.

But according to Isaac’s analysis, there was actually room to maneuver.

The rankings Isaac was actually trying to climb were only for Tier Three High-level Wizards. The fame he would gain would be concentrated among High-level Mages. As long as he refrained from further demonstrating his ability to counter the Wizards of the Mechanical God Sect and avoided getting labeled as such, it wouldn’t be too big of a problem.

Of course...

BOOM!

After blasting another floating Mechanical Cannon Tower to pieces, Isaac’s brow furrowed slightly. In this operation, the others were responsible for dealing with the Mechanical God Sect’s High-level Mages, while Isaac’s objective was to cause as much destruction as possible.

After all, compared to the others, his strange and malevolent Magic Power from the Dimension World was quite formidable in terms of raw destructive power.

The Magic Power of the Dimension World was a troublesome force to handle, even for the Flesh Sect—which possessed an entire Dimension World and kept a Demon God in captivity. At least, that was the case for most of its members.

But again, it came back to the same principle: the greatest counter in this world is absolute power!

Although the Magic Beams and Magic Cannons Isaac cast with his Dimensional Magic Power were extremely potent—capable of destroying a facility with a single shot—it was a frustrating situation. The Mechanical God Sect had simply deployed too many Creations. Beyond what was visible on the sea, the unseen depths below and even the spatial interstices were teeming with Mechanical Bodies, cannon towers, and defensive barriers.

They were a real headache to deal with, but that was the strength of Alchemical constructs. As long as resources and production could keep up, the Firepower they could unleash was immense!

And unfortunately for him, they had both!

In the Magic World, especially for High Level Wizards, resources weren’t actually that scarce—particularly during wartime.

This was because resources could be continuously acquired from outside their world. The only price was having some High-level Mages act as Magic Batteries. Under normal circumstances, that price would be steep.

After all, the value a High-level Mage could create in that same amount of time far exceeded the value of those resources.

But during wartime, well, that was a different story.

Therefore, if he wanted to destroy all these things, relying solely on his Magic Power and Magic Cannons would be nowhere near enough, even with the support of Infinite Magic Power from the Dimension World.

This was the same dilemma faced by Isaac’s Dimension Apostles. Although they possessed nearly Infinite Magic Power thanks to the Dimension World’s support, their personal capacity to output that Magic Power was extremely limited, preventing them from fully leveraging this advantage.

’My current situation is much the same. Using conventional methods, it’s highly likely... No, it would be absolutely impossible for me to complete this mission. The Mechanical God Sect has just deployed too much stuff here.’

’Limited time, limited Magic Power output efficiency... With conventional methods, I’m truly powerless.’

However...

After casually pointing a finger and blowing up another cannon tower that was preparing to fire on him, Isaac’s eyes narrowed as a crazy plan gradually formed in his mind. ’If this works, I’m confident I can destroy every last one of these things!’

’No, there is no ’if’ with this plan. As long as I set it in motion, it’s almost guaranteed to succeed. So the real question is whether I *should* do it...’

’After all, it goes against my philosophy of self-preservation.’

Isaac’s gaze flickered. He glanced over at the Tier Four Mages’ battlefield. After a moment’s thought, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes as he instantly made his decision. ’Fuck it!’

Having made his decision, Isaac no longer hesitated. He instantly froze in mid-air, and his [Positive Infinitesimal] Authority unfurled, freezing all incoming Magic Beams, Four Elements Beams, and various physical projectiles. He then spread his arms, his Wizard Robe rustling under the surging Magic Power.

A silver gleam of Magic Power flashed, and a twisted silver Magic Staff appeared in Isaac’s hand. A ferocious Demon Eye opened on both the staff and Isaac’s forehead at the same time. The two baleful eyes curiously surveyed their surroundings.

RRRIP—

A ferocious Demon Claw burst from the nape of Isaac’s neck, flailing wildly as it spread a peculiar Magic Power in all directions.

In the blink of an eye, Isaac had unleashed his full power!

In the next instant, an immense ritual field, encompassing the entire battlefield, appeared...
