Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 324: Chapter 237: Half a Year Later

In the blink of an eye, half a year passed. During this time, the Emperor fought several more battles against the Master of Billions of Flesh outside the world, gaining the upper hand in every encounter. As a result, even though rumors of the Empire’s instability spread far and wide, the people’s morale stabilized.

All of this was because the Emperor remained invincible!

However, none of this had much to do with Isaac. Over the past six months, he had finished his complete Analysis of the data from the Deity’s remains. Based on this data, he successfully created the first version of a God Creation Magic—the Divine Birth Ceremony.

The Divine Birth Ceremony used a Tier Three Artificial Divine Format as its core, at least ten years’ worth of Faith from the people of a medium-sized Kingdom, and the Concept that would form the Deity’s Authority. With these components, there was a certain probability of creating a Deity of at least Tier Six!

Of course, as the first version of the God Creation ritual, it still had many imperfections. For instance, its cost-effectiveness was merely average.

It sounded wonderful, but in reality, a Tier Three Divine Species could also become a true Deity if it gathered ten years’ worth of Faith from a medium-sized Kingdom.

Furthermore, the success rate would be much higher than that of the Divine Birth Ceremony. After all, this being the first version of the ritual, its success rate was only ten percent.

But the ritual was not without its merits. At the very least, it could shorten the required time from ten years to a mere few minutes!

Moreover, the ritual wasn’t picky about the Power of Faith. The normal path to Becoming a God required genuine Faith directed specifically at oneself. Only that kind of Faith could be used to enhance one’s Divinity.

Furthermore, since the ritual was in his hands, Isaac could also use his Golden Finger to increase the margin for error. Although the price was steep—a year’s worth of a fanatical believer’s Power of Faith only increased the margin by a thousandth—Isaac didn’t feel the need to push it to some absurd one-thousand-percent level. Two hundred such increments would be more than enough.

After all, no one would be trying to sabotage him.

However, Isaac didn’t plan to use this ritual, for two reasons. First, the cost was still too high. Not only was the base success rate low, but a year’s worth of Power of Faith from a fanatical believer was something you simply couldn’t buy on the market. No Deity would be foolish enough to put that up for sale.

Only Wizard Organizations that kept Deities in captivity would produce such a thing, but their output was pitifully low. To gather enough for two hundred increments to the margin of error... well, that was no longer a matter of money.

In comparison, ten years’ worth of a medium-sized Kingdom’s Power of Faith was actually easier to obtain. This was because that resource was merely expensive, and could often be found as loot in ruins or Little Worlds.

Deities generally weren’t interested in this kind of resource, since it wasn’t produced by their own Believers. It could only be sold to Wizards for research purposes. But even in the current Wizarding World, frankly, not many dared to study Deities.

So if one was truly determined to buy it, it was possible to gather enough.

’But there was no need. This was only the first version, and it can be optimized further.’

’Besides, in this research, God Creation itself isn’t the most important step. The most critical issue is how to coexist amicably with the created being.’

’If I simply wanted to create a God, I wouldn’t need to go to all this trouble. I could directly exchange for a ready-made Magic in the Sect. With two High-level Mages working together, just taking missions to earn contribution points would have been more than enough.’

’But what we want is an amicable coexistence, so I have to do the research myself.’

Over the past six months, in addition to the Divine Birth Ceremony, Isaac had also developed a series of Secret Skills that could make use of the vast amount of junk data from his research. For him, they weren’t particularly useful; at most, they expanded his tactical options a little. ℯℯ𝑙.

For his Dimension Apostles, however, it was a completely different story. Their combat effectiveness skyrocketed!

Although the operational ceiling for these Secret Skills wasn’t as high as the Magic Cannon’s, their skill floor was much lower. They didn’t require the same extremely refined control of Magic Power, which made them a perfect fit for the current Dimension Apostles.

On the other hand, there had been little improvement in other areas. He still hadn’t begun his research into Imaginary Number Magic, and his progress on the Ten Thousand Spirits Transformation was temporarily stalled. He had only cultivated three new transformations: the Flame Dragon Transformation, the Ice Demon Transformation, and the Wilderness Spirit Deer Transformation.

A Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, a Demon, and a Divine Species.

These were transformations into three types of High-level Creatures. Likewise, these three transformations didn’t increase Isaac’s power; they didn’t even expand his tactical options. That was because with something like Transformation Magic, simply learning the spell was useless. One also had to learn the fighting style of the corresponding species.

However, Isaac hadn’t learned these three transformations for combat. He wanted to personally experience the state of being of these three High-level Creatures to further his research into the Ten Thousand Spirits Transformation.

Of course, it would be inaccurate to say Isaac had made no progress at all in the last six months. Even before his promotion to High-level Mage, Isaac had already started promoting the story of *Snow White*.

Although he had vaguely encountered obstruction from various factions during this process—it seemed some people didn’t want his Path of the Wizard to proceed so smoothly—he had his Dimension Apostles, whose eyes and ears were spread even wider.

Isaac’s legion of Dimension Apostles expanded periodically, and although most of them were pathetically weak and useless for important tasks, they were extremely convenient for establishing an intelligence network.

Because being weak meant being numerous!

In terms of sheer area, Isaac’s intelligence network had already spread beyond the borders of the Empire!

Although their average power level was too low to gather any useful intelligence, they were masters at spreading stories for Isaac!
