Chapter 3034: Chapter 3035: The Colorful Rift

Facing Shayina’s query, Aex softly said, ”Stop is my most important friend.”

Upon hearing Aex’s reply, Shayina seemed to understand something: ”So, you also participated in this attack?”

Aex opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to argue but hesitated for a second and fell silent.

Aex’s lack of rebuttal was seen as a tacit agreement by Shayina.

Initially, Shayina had hoped to befriend Aex, but now she felt fortunate that she hadn’t yet drawn Aex in, otherwise she would have lost face and integrity.

”Shayina, do you know him?” Elder Shu, who hadn’t seen Aex before, asked curiously after hearing Shayina’s conversation with Aex.

”I’ve met him, I originally thought he was a White Wizard,” Shayina nodded and said.

”White Wizard?” Stop suddenly interrupted, with a hint of sarcasm in his smile: ”Only foolish people differentiate Wizards as black or white based on good or bad. Oh, wait, even if you don’t differentiate by good or bad, you’re still foolish.”

Shayina frowned slightly, without response.

Stop’s words involved ideology, and ideological debates within the Wizards’ Realm rarely yield a conclusion.

Stop: ”Allow me to introduce to you all, this is my companion, whom I previously referred to as foolish, named Aex.”

Stop’s words carried a clear derogatory intent, but Aex seemed indifferent, apparently used to being called ”foolish.”

At this moment, the Black Earl suddenly spoke: ”So, was he the reason for your attack on Bilun Tree Court?”

The Black Earl posed this question because Stop had explicitly said, ”Only foolish people take hatred as their greatest driving force. And in my organization, there are foolish people.”

This indicated that, in Stop’s view, Aex should be a Wizard driven by hatred.

Stop himself denied having any special purpose in attacking Bilun Tree Court, and the Black Earl could discern that he probably wasn’t lying, along with some of his behavior and actions, allowing the Black Earl to conclude that this person is merely a mischief-maker.

Mischief-makers aren’t driven by the purpose of their crimes, but rather seek to provoke public chaos and panic through their actions and secretly observe these reactions for amusement.

Although mischief-makers typically don’t commit crimes with purpose, if they have an organization, they might launch attacks to satisfy their own amusement.

In other words, Stop may have had no purpose in attacking Bilun Tree Court, but Stop’s ally did.

Currently, Stop has acknowledged his ally, who he calls ”foolish,” which would be none other than Aex.

Thus, the Black Earl asked this question.

Stop wagged his index finger left and right: ”No, that’s not correct. Aex is not adept at spinning hatred; his foolishness lies in his constant attempts to create ’win-win’ situations.”

”Like this time, he knows everything, yet he obstinately wants to save people. Is it laughable? Is it foolish?”

Even knowing he would face an endless conflict with Bilun Tree Court, Aex still pondered whether there might be a way to reconcile and achieve a win-win outcome. From Stop’s perspective, this was an incomprehensible folly... However, Stop wouldn’t stop Aex, after all, Aex was also part of the organization.

Though foolish, he is, nonetheless, a senior member of the organization.

Also, people in the organization more or less have their own issues, and compared to others, Aex’s issues are relatively minor.

After hearing Stop’s words, Shayina was momentarily stunned: ”He’s saving people?”

Stop didn’t respond, while Aex scratched his head: ”The people I’ve saved are now in the underground aqueduct of the council hall, where it’s very safe. Once we leave, Rain Forest Witches can go there to inform them.”

Shayina was disoriented by Aex’s words.

Yet Elder Shu coldly snorted: ”Leaving? Impossible!”

With Elder Shu’s words, he intended to utilize the Power of Nature to attack the shield created by Aex.

However, neither Aex nor Stop paid any attention to Elder Shu. Elder Shu’s attacks proved entirely ineffective; all the energy would vanish upon approaching the shield, as if swallowed by an invisible black hole.

Inside the shield, the two were completely unaffected by external influences, and even had time for casual conversation.

”You’ve timed your arrival perfectly. Did you see I couldn’t leave here?” Stop asked Aex.

Aex shook his head: ”No, even without my help, you definitely could leave. But... I just have a nagging feeling that something is wrong. That’s why I came to take a look.”

After pausing, Aex added: ”If there’s no problem here, I’m worried there may be an accident on her side.”

Typically, using a reason like ’nagging feeling’ to persuade others yields no response, but Stop didn’t doubt Aex’s intentions at all. Upon hearing Aex’s concern, Stop pondered: ”So, it’s possible there’s trouble on Sharon’s side?”

Aex hesitated for a moment, then nodded: ”Perhaps.”

Stop: ”Sharon’s side only faces three Wizards, so there shouldn’t be major issues. However, since you’re feeling uneasy, let’s go take a look.”

”Perfect timing, as things here are settled. Let’s take Sharon and depart this realm.”

After Stop and Aex finished their conversation, Aex ripped open a space rift filled with multicolored brilliance under everyone’s watchful eyes.

This scene drew an expression of shock among the onlookers.

Because this multicolored brilliance rift was clearly a space rift. But at this moment, the surrounding energy was extremely chaotic, also triggering disturbances in spatial energy. Under such circumstances, creating a space rift was practically suicidal.

Unless it’s absolutely necessary to escape using a plane corridor, no one would enter a space rift under these conditions.

But Stop and Aex seemed completely unconcerned with the spatial disturbance, and Aex’s foot was even already within the space rift.

Most astonishingly, even having created the space rift, that strange shield showed no signs of weakening.

No matter how Elder Shu attacked, the shield continued to flawlessly provide its defensive power.

This bizarre scene left even the knowledgeable Black Earl bewildered.

Soon, Aex disappeared into the space rift, and as Stop was about to leave, Elder Shu still hadn’t breached the shield.

Left with no choice, Elder Shu turned his gaze toward the Black Earl for help once more.

The Black Earl paused in silence and said, ”I’ve already fulfilled the promise I made to you. The echo reflection I helped you break isn’t part of the initial requirements for this shield.”

In other words, if Elder Shu wanted the Black Earl’s help again, he’d need to offer new benefits.

After both the first and second plans were agreed upon, Elder Shu found himself without a strategy to attract the Black Earl for the time being.

However, even if there were new benefits to attract the Black Earl, Elder Shu probably couldn’t execute them now. Firstly, the Black Earl could not quite understand Aex’s capabilities, and might not be able to break the light shield in the short term; secondly, Stop wouldn’t wait for them to negotiate slowly, as he had already entered the colorful rift while they were talking.

”Bang—”

With the disappearance of the rift, the light shield emitted a cracking sound, and everything returned to its original state.

There was neither Stop nor Aex.

The surroundings were left with nothing but a field of ruins and rubble...

...

Watching Stop and Aex leave right in front of him, Elder Shu was so furious he almost coughed up blood.

Shayina might still be immersed in the ”betrayal” of Aex, standing there frozen, without any movement for a while.

Xingye, heavily wounded, leaned against Elder Shu’s Tree of Nature, silently recovering. However, he also witnessed the scene of Stop and Aex disappearing. Though he felt anger, he simultaneously experienced a deep sense of powerlessness.

Compared to Elder Shu, Xingye actually saw deeper.

Stop’s strength was undeniable, and combined with those two terrifying creatures, even a Second-Level True Knowledge Wizard might not be able to completely hold him. Moreover, Stop had previously released only the Island Strongman and a crocodile-headed magic monster, and the known Shallow Sea Strongman had yet to reveal itself.

Expanding on this thought, if Stop could possess wizard-level Island Strongman and Shallow Sea Strongman, why couldn’t he possess other types like Swamp Strongman, Hill Strongman, Jungle Strongman, or Prairie Strongman?

If the opponent truly controlled a large number of wizard-level strongmen, who could stand against him?

The power Stop showed them was evidently just a small part. Without knowing Stop’s true strength, they had already shown all their cards, and there was no comparison between the two.

Then there was the suddenly appearing and mysterious Aex, who was impenetrable to Xingye.

The abilities he displayed, whether the light shield, the colorful rift, or how he appeared, left Xingye completely bewildered.

Without a doubt, Aex’s powers were certainly strong. Perhaps, like Stop, he belonged to that category of being able to triumph over stronger foes while being weak.

Furthermore, Aex’s powers were even more mysterious; at least Xingye hadn’t identified what kind of energy he was using.

In the face of these two powerful wizards, Xingye not only felt his own powerlessness but even doubted whether the Black Earl, going all out, could prevent their departure.

Moreover, Stop clearly mentioned he was here to deliver a big gift to the Black Earl.

Previously, Xingye didn’t understand what it was, but as Elder Shu agreed to the Black Earl’s first and second plans consecutively, Xingye seemed to understand that the so-called big gift from Stop was actually referring to this.

Elder Shu had already seen that regarding the underground aqueduct issue, the Black Earl intended for the Birlos Family to maintain status quo, meaning he had no plans to destroy the Birlos Family.

Under this premise, the Black Earl was evidently more inclined to negotiate interests with the Birlos Family.

Without today’s sudden attack incident at Bilun Tree Court and the chaotic game Stop stirred up, for the Black Earl to capture the first and second plans purely through ”negotiation,” would be nearly impossible.

Yet now, the Black Earl had obtained what he wanted, and Stop, without any loss, left the chaotic situation intact.

If Stop truly planned it all, then him saying he was gifting the Black Earl might be possible.

Regardless of whether the Black Earl acknowledges the gift, but certainly, the Black Earl would see Stop’s goodwill.

Stop demonstrated his strength, his heritage, and showed goodwill to the Black Earl. If Xingye were in the Black Earl’s position, he too would choose to let Stop go.

This was a win-win situation.

Unless it was not the Black Earl’s avatar but his true body here today. Then perhaps the Black Earl could ignore Stop’s potential completely and strongly suppress him.

But an avatar is just an avatar, it can’t do what the real body can.

Thus, Stop succeeded.

Xingye didn’t know whether Stop calculated this too, but from what he saw now, the Birlos Family could not retain Stop.

It was precisely because he saw through this that Xingye felt deeply powerless.

At this moment, Xingye was incredibly regretful; if he knew the situation today would happen, why should he have stayed due to Elder Shu’s constant pleading, why waste decades testing the next patriarch’s result?

If he left earlier, perhaps he might have already achieved a breakthrough. As long as he broke through to a True Knowledge Wizard, with his Second-Level peak wizard strength, he could break the Third-Level Wall Barrier anytime. Then, even if still couldn’t retain Stop, at least he could rely on his own strength to change the powerless situation.

On the other side, compared to Elder Shu’s fury, Shayina’s daze, and Xingye’s heavy grief, Gailuo’s performance became the only highlight.

Previously forced by Elder Shu to suppress his anger, Gailuo continuously observed Stop.

He clearly heard Stop and Aex’s conversation.

He also learned that they weren’t just two people this time, but had another wizard named Sharon.

What they wanted to do now was to find Wizard Sharon.

And Wizard Sharon’s location should still be in Bilun Tree Court.

Therefore, Gailuo wasn’t thinking about all those things now. His only thought was to find Wizard Sharon, to locate the two wizards who disrupted Bilun Tree Court’s peace, capture them, and make an example out of them.

Of course, Gailuo knew his strength was inferior to the opponent, but in recognizing the strength gap, he wasn’t as clear as Xingye.

He knew only that this time he wasn’t trapped in the game; he could still call for help.

The Birlos Family had many wizards, whether traveling merchants or night trees, they would all be his support!

Gailuo had made all the preparations for confrontation, even using his deputy patriarch’s authority to start a search through Bilun Tree Court using divine thought.

Soon, an unusual energy feedback was detected by Gailuo.

Excited, Gailuo checked the location of the energy feedback, and upon confirming the position, a trace of confusion flashed in Gailuo’s eyes.

Why would it be... Paradise Land?

If he remembered correctly, wasn’t Elder Moon currently inside Paradise Land?
