Chapter 3032: Chapter 3033: Stop

The man in the suit seemed so confident, making the Black Earl suspect the other had some hidden cards. Thus, when the gemstone giant began to gather energy, he became even more cautious.

However, as the gemstone giant fully accumulated its energy, the man in the suit remained motionless.

The Black Earl was more cautious than before, but this didn’t mean he would let the opportunity slip away.

Upon confirming the gemstone giant’s energy had reached its peak, the Black Earl struck without hesitation.

With a command issued in his heart, the gemstone giant moved from a distance.

The massive giant clasped its hands together, fingers interlocked into a mighty hammer fist, muttering unknown obscure words. As the chant grew louder, terrifying energy ripples began to emerge around the fist.

The ripples emanated strong waves, lifting countless earth and stone. The registry office, which was still somewhat intact, began to crack amidst the terrifying ripples.

Even the wind and rain were repelled by these ripples, forming a ”sanctuary”.

The ripples were accompanied by the light of gemstones, like a falling meteor, bursting into dazzling brilliance in an instant.

The gemstone giant was shrouded in light and ripples.

Its aura reached a terrifying level. Elder Shu and Gailuo stood aghast, eyes widened, as this level of energy far exceeded a Second Level True Knowledge Wizard, even comparable to a Third Level True Knowledge Wizard’s attack!

The Black Earl, although merely an avatar, with energy ripples only at Wizard Level, managed to manipulate the energy to this extent, surpassing all their expectations.

Even though the gemstone giant required a long time to accumulate such energy, it didn’t mitigate their astonishment.

Being able to accumulate energy for a whole day doesn’t guarantee creating an attack at the True Knowledge Wizard level!

Not just Elder Shu and Gailuo, even the man in the suit showed a hint of surprise in his eyes... The Black Earl lives up to his name, standing at the pinnacle of the Southern Domain as a wizard, with cards in hand even more terrifying than imagined.

Elder Shu and Gailuo felt relieved seeing such terrifying energy ripples.

They didn’t believe Amit and Libiya could remain unharmed facing such high-level energy ripples.

With this, they were sure to win.

On the other side, the Black Earl also doubted Amit and Libiya could withstand the gemstone light, but he wasn’t as optimistic as Elder Shu and others.

He knew that although the power of the gemstone light could cause significant damage to Amit and Libiya, it wouldn’t be easy for a single strike to be fatal.

Furthermore, even if Amit and Libiya were eliminated, let’s not forget, the man in the suit still had a Shallow Sea Strongman in hand.

Though by the rules set by the man in the suit himself, sending out the Shallow Sea Strongman would violate them, does the man in the suit really abide by the rules? The Black Earl didn’t believe it.

Indeed, as the Black Earl expected... the man in the suit didn’t abide by the rules.

Moreover, he broke the rules earlier, without even deploying the Shallow Sea Strongman, he actively shattered the rules he set.

As the gemstone giant’s hammer fist slammed toward Amit and Libiya, the man in the suit finally moved. With a few chuckles, he said in a voice everyone could hear, ”Amit, Libiya, come back...”

So at the moment when the gemstone light was about to hit Amit and Libiya, he withdrew the magical creatures.

The gemstone light washed over the area, turning most of the registry office into dust.

Amit and Libiya, like a Summoner’s summoned beasts, were pulled back to the original world and disappeared.

Seeing the disappearance of the two magical creatures, the Black Earl only furrowed his brow without saying much. However, Gailuo beside him jumped up, staring fiercely at the man in the suit: ”Aren’t you the one who keeps talking about rules? Yet you yourself didn’t abide by them!”

Upon hearing Gailuo’s accusation, the man in the suit displayed an exaggerated expression of distress: ”Indeed, I didn’t follow the rules. What should I do?”

After posing the question, without waiting for Gailuo’s reply, he continued self-talkingly: ”As punishment, I can only admit defeat then.”

The man in the suit shrugged: ”Let’s say you won this round of the game.”

Seeing the man’s self-dialogue, Gailuo burned with fury: ”You bastard!”

The man in the suit looked at Gailuo, smiling: ”What, do you want to play another game?”

Gailuo was about to speak when Elder Shu interrupted, ”Gailuo, shut up!”

Elder Shu wasn’t foolish either; during the previous battle, he realized the game rules set by the man in the suit were actually creating a special contract. Back then, the contract was initiated by Gailuo, the impetuous one.

If Gailuo, provoked by the man in the suit again, performed certain actions or spoke certain words leading to a new contract being established, then Gailuo would deserve the outcome. In any case, Elder Shu wouldn’t actively involve himself in the contract this time.

The power of contracts is truly the power of laws. Only a madman would actively seek the power of laws.

Gailuo, still unclear of the situation, looked over with grievance upon hearing Elder Shu’s reprimand.

Elder Shu didn’t bother explaining, directly commanding: ”Come over here, I’ll settle accounts with you later. Now, get over here immediately!”

Gailuo clenched his fists but eventually released them. With a look of helplessness, he walked toward Elder Shu.

When Gailuo returned to Elder Shu’s side, the man in the suit clicked his tongue twice: ”Ugh, without a starter, the game becomes dull...”

Gailuo didn’t understand the meaning, but Elder Shu, squinting his eyes, addressed the man in the suit: ”So all of this was your setup. You took advantage of Gailuo’s personality, planning in advance for him to act as the initiator of the contract?”

Gailuo stared at Elder Shu in confusion.

The man in the suit calmly replied: ”Looks like you’ve realized, but... it’s quite slow.”

The man in the suit’s mockery didn’t stir Elder Shu’s emotions. Elder Shu was well aware that the man in the suit was able to establish a verbal contract previously by accurately reading their moods.

Gailuo’s impulsiveness initiated the contract; he and Xingye tribe leader had to step in seeing Gailuo overwhelmed, thus entering the contract.

So, everything was the fault of emotional impulsiveness.

Facing the man in the suit, not allowing one’s mood to be disrupted by him is crucial!

The man in the suit seemed to observe Elder Shu’s mood change, indifferently stating: ”Since you’ve won, I’ll now fulfill the questions you asked earlier as agreed.”

Gailuo: ”Who made a deal with you!”

The man in the suit smiled at Gailuo: ”So, are you giving up the clearance reward?”

Gailuo: ”We want to... kill...”

Thud—

Before Gailuo could finish speaking, a massive fist came down on his head. Elder Shu was the one who punched it.

Gailuo looked at Elder Shu puzzled, while Elder Shu gritted his teeth: ”What did I just say? You’re at it again? Shut up!”

Gailuo was a bit aggrieved; clearly, Elder Shu only asked him to return, without demanding silence...

Unable to resist Elder Shu, Gailuo lowered his head, saying nothing.

This scene made the man in the suit laugh out loud uncontrollably.

Even the Black Earl couldn’t help but shake his head secretly. It seems that today, the probability of Gailuo inheriting the position of head of the Birlos family has become infinitely small.

In this way, sending Dreth out wasn’t so bad after all, equivalent to inexplicably picking up a windfall.

”So, do you still want your pass reward?” The man in the suit laughed and then looked at Elder Shu.

Elder Shu retorted, ”Does this still need us to ask? Isn’t this the rule you set?”

Man in the suit: ”True, you are the ones who passed the test, I should take the initiative to issue the pass reward. Alright then, according to the previous agreement with Wizard Gailuo...”

Upon hearing this, Gailuo instinctively wanted to say: When did I ever have an agreement with you?

But before Gailuo could speak, the cold eyes of Elder Shu had already glanced over, making Gailuo immediately fall silent.

The man in the suit continued: ”I will answer the two questions he initially asked me.”

These two questions were the ones Gailuo asked at the outset when he pointed at the man in the suit: Who exactly are you? Was it you who orchestrated the attack by the Shallow Sea Strongman on the Bilun Tree Court?

After the man in the suit finished speaking, he didn’t immediately start talking, but turned his head to look elsewhere.

He saw Shayina and Lucia flying over from afar.

After retracting the two Magical Creatures, the man in the suit voluntarily broke the contract, so Shayina and Lucia were not blocked by the power of the contract and arrived smoothly nearby.

After landing, Shayina immediately went to the side of Elder Shu.

While Lucia stood near Vay, looking at the man in the suit from a distance.

The man in the suit ignored Shayina and instead glanced at Lucia, chuckling: ”So it’s Store Manager Lucia, I didn’t expect you to come too.”

Lucia suppressed the curses in her throat, speaking coldly: ”What you’ve done has already violated the rules of the Starry District.”

”I know.” The man in the suit nodded carelessly and then laughed, saying, ”But I still thank Store Manager Lucia for not revealing my information, even when the rules were broken.”

Although the man in the suit also knew that Lucia might leak his information through other means, those pieces of information were insignificant.

From Gailuo’s first question, ”Who are you”, it was clear that Lucia hadn’t even told the Birlos family his name.

So, from this perspective, Lucia adhered to the rules of the Starry District.

And the two types of people the man in the suit liked most were those who followed rules. Lucia’s actions were worthy of his gratitude.

Lucia snorted coldly, ignoring the man in the suit, and instead pulling Vay back a bit.

At this point, without the limitation of the contract, Lucia knew clearly that the reason the crowd hadn’t acted against the man in the suit yet was because they were waiting for him to answer the questions.

Once the man in the suit finished answering or the answers were unsatisfactory, there would inevitably be another fierce battle. This time it would be a chaotic fight without rules, so pulling back with Apprentice Vay was undoubtedly the right move.

The man in the suit didn’t care about Lucia’s actions, chuckled lightly, and turned to continue looking at Elder Shu.

At that moment, Elder Shu had already learned from Shayina about the Black Earl’s request. Although Elder Shu felt there was some suspicion of sitting on the ground and raising the price, considering those two terrifyingly powerful Magical Creatures that could wipe out the Birlos family, and the gem light released by the Black Earl, Elder Shu felt relieved.

However excessive it was, at least the backbone of the Birlos family was still alive, which was the greatest fortune.

Elder Shu had already made up his mind, but he also knew that now was not the time to talk with the Black Earl. He temporarily set aside his ”transaction” thoughts and refocused his attention on the man in the suit.

”Wizard Gailuo’s first question was asking who I am.” Man in the suit: ”To answer this question clearly would be too philosophical, and I lack philosophical sophistication. Thus, I can only answer in the simplest way.”

The man in the suit tidied his lapel slightly and then adopted a solemn expression, saying: ”Please forgive my self-introduction for being too late.”

”My name is Stop, a small sound-type wizard with no background, but I founded a trivial organization, not a Witcher Organization, just a small mutual aid group. The organization’s headquarters is not in the Southern Domain, but tracing back, I am considered a human from the Southern Domain.”

”That’s roughly my introduction, not sure if it’s satisfactory?”

Elder Shu: ”Tracing back, a human from the Southern Domain? So, you mean, you weren’t born in the Southern Domain?”

The man in the suit, also known as Stop, smirked: ”Correct.”

Elder Shu: ”You were born in the Wild Realm?”

Stop: ”Yes.”

Elder Shu: ”You are indeed a spy of Yalu Deity!”

Stop shrugged: ”Your logic doesn’t quite hold. However, the Yalu Deity you mention, I have indeed met. But unfortunately, I am not its ally.”

Stop outright denied this connection, and he even refrained from using the respectful address ’It’ towards the Yalu Deity, instead using a broader term that could even refer to beast species to address the Yalu Deity.

This was an insult to the Deity.

Even the Black Earl previously used ’It’ with Yalu Deity, indicating that Stop’s choice of words was deliberate.

From this address, it was evident that Stop and the Yalu Deity were not on friendly terms.

Elder Shu naturally picked up on the implicature of Stop’s words, however, whether Stop was Yalu Deity’s spy wasn’t important to Elder Shu. Anyway, as long as it was known that Stop had a relationship with the Yalu Deity, that was sufficient.

It only needed to be conveyed to the Extreme Sect, and the sect would naturally investigate further. And such investigations would certainly not employ gentle methods.

Therefore, whether Stop was or wasn’t a spy of Yalu Deity, as long as he faced the Extreme Sect, his outcome wouldn’t be good.

Stop also deduced Elder Shu’s intentions, but his expression remained unchanged, careless as before.

”Your mentioned organization, what organization is it?” Elder Shu continued to ask.

Stop: ”The affairs of the organization cannot be disclosed, or are you wanting to join my organization?”

Elder Shu snorted coldly, expressing tacit refutation.

Stop: ”Alright, seems like you’re unwilling to join my organization. But then again, even if you were to apply, you wouldn’t qualify anyhow.”

Elder Shu ignored Stop’s words, treating them as mere taunts.

However, regarding Stop’s backing organization, Elder Shu did pay attention.

Does having an organization mean Stop isn’t alone?

While Elder Shu was contemplating this, Stop spoke: ”As for Gailuo’s second question, he asked if it was me who orchestrated the attack by the Shallow Sea Strongman on the Bilun Tree Court?”

Under the gazes of Elder Shu and others, Stop’s shoulders slightly trembled, laughing wildly.

”Of course, it was.”
