Chapter 2474: Chapter 2475: Pure White Chamber

After standing up, Angel began to look around.

It was pitch black, with nothing visible and no sound of the wind, as silent as the land of eternal slumber.

Angel tried calling out to Wang Wang and the Dalmatian.

But there was no response, as though he was isolated in some remote corner.

Angel thought for a moment, then snapped his fingers softly, and a faint light rose from his fingertips.

—This was a level 0 Trick, the Light Spell.

The effect of the Light Spell was similar to a torch, only illuminating a two or three-meter radius around him. The reason for not choosing the more advanced Light Source Technique or Light Illumination was simply because they were inside the Dalmatian’s stomach. Who knows what consequences might arise from too much energy... After all, Angel had seen with his own eyes, a civilization inside the Dalmatian’s stomach, that was born and perished countless times by a mere spark.

So, to be cautious, he used the harmless level 0 Trick.

Through the dim light from the Light Spell, Angel found himself seemingly standing on a platform, the ground was hard, with a stone-like texture and traces of artificial chiseling, with occasional damages.

There were no other creatures visible for the time being.

It seemed that this time, unlike last, the Dalmatian didn’t show him a world evolution or civilization’s passing.

If it wasn’t to watch a ”movie,” then why swallow him? And where did Wang Wang go? Also, the Observer, Polo Ye, and Gluz Deward, where are they?

With doubts in mind, Angel walked along the platform.

Soon, he discovered something unusual about this platform.

He previously thought he was in something like ”ruins,” as the platform showed signs of being artificially carved, but after a walk around, he realized this platform wasn’t on ”land” at all.

It was floating in the void.

The sensation was somewhat reminiscent of that round altar floating in mid-air, which Angel encountered when he sought something left by Mr. Feng in the void back then.

But this platform wasn’t round; it had a somewhat irregular shape with damages.

As for why the void existed in the Dalmatian’s stomach and why this platform was there... Angel couldn’t be bothered to think deeper. He had already seen civilizations come and go in the Dalmatian’s stomach, what was so noteworthy about the void?

Nonetheless, Angel was still puzzled as to why he remained on this platform.

Did the Dalmatian casually throw him here, or was there a deeper meaning?

Angel pondered for a long time, unable to produce an answer. He finally decided to ask the main body directly.

He took out the light purple Void Traveler—Heideland from his bracelet, indicating it to connect to the void network.

However, after Heideland’s tentacles reached Angel’s brow, there was no successful void network connection notification even after a long while.

Clearly, the void network was shielded inside the Dalmatian’s stomach.

Connection failed, Angel looked at Heideland: ”Wang Wang is your clan’s leader, you should be able to sense it, right? Do you know where it is?”

Heideland tilted its head, not understanding what he meant.

”It doesn’t have to be exactly where, just which direction.”

Heideland still looked at Angel with confused eyes, eventually extending its tentacles again, evidently thinking Angel wanted to connect to the void network once more.

Angel sighed helplessly, indeed, except for Wang Wang, all Void Travelers are idiots.

Reluctantly storing Heideland away, Angel decided to find a way to break through the current situation himself.

So Angel walked back and forth on the platform several times, observing the surrounding void for quite a while, yet still found nothing.

Was the Dalmatian actually trying to trap him?

But it didn’t make sense. There were plenty of methods if the Dalmatian wanted to trap him. Besides, although Angel hadn’t spent much time with the Dalmatian, each encounter had profound assistance from it. In Angel’s subconscious, he hardly believed the Dalmatian would harm him.

But if the Dalmatian wasn’t trying to trap him, what reason was there to leave him on this disjointed platform?

There should be a clue... but after searching for a large turn, he found nothing.

Suddenly, a thought flashed through Angel’s mind.

He had indeed checked around the platform, including observations of the void, but he seemed to overlook one place... directly beneath the platform.

Earlier, he had only clung to the edge of the platform and glanced down, confirming it was floating, then didn’t look carefully below.

Perhaps there was some overlooked clue below?

Thinking this, Angel immediately moved to the platform’s edge, stepping into the void, reversing gravity, and landed directly on the platform’s underside.

On the underside of the platform, Angel still found nothing. However, when he looked up, he vaguely saw a light in the depths above.

The ”above” here, according to the previously original platform reference coordinates, was actually the void below.

It had been obscured by the platform at the time, so Angel didn’t see it. Now, walking upside down on the platform’s underside, he finally saw that faint light.

Previously, Angel hadn’t stepped into the void because there were no reference points, not knowing where he might end up, so he stayed on the platform.

But now, since he saw a light spot in the void below the platform, Angel couldn’t continue staying in place doing nothing.

Furthermore, Angel still didn’t believe the Dalmatian intended to harm him with this method.

With nothing to worry about, Angel didn’t think twice, taking a step forward, using the recoil force to rush towards the light spot below.

Angel moved quickly, with the aid of the Gravity Meridian, yet still took ten minutes before the light gradually enlarged. This showcased the vastness of this void.

It could be said, the Dalmatian’s stomach concealed an enormous world.

Angel thought about how he had held the Dalmatian outside, did this mean he had also held an entire world?

A thought that drifted out of nowhere quickly extinguished, as he could already see the outline of the light point.

Angel had speculated about many possibilities, thinking the light might be a path, a tunnel, an exit, or another guiding puzzle.

But he never expected that the light was actually a huge golden clock.

This golden circular clock emitted endless radiance, marked with twelve clock points, with the hands currently paused at 0:00, not moving.

Angel looked at this golden clock, oddly familiar.

When he first encountered the Thief of Time, the latter seemed to sit atop such a giant clock wheel, addressing him with a smile: ”Young man.”

Was this the clock wheel that the Thief of Time sat on? But wasn’t that the Wheel of Time? Why was it inside the Dalmatian’s stomach?

Filled with questions, Angel slowly approached the clock, wanting to see if there was a phantom shadow claiming to be Cassini on top of it, just like before?

However, as Angel neared the clock, he quickly confirmed that there wasn’t any shadow above the clock.

Angel felt a slight disappointment but didn’t stop, continuing towards the clock.

This golden clock couldn’t have appeared here without reason, it must hold some sort of significance, or perhaps the exit lies on this clock?

However, when Angel arrived under the golden clock, he still didn’t find any clues.

After hesitating for a moment, Angel reached out his hand and slowly extended it forward.

At the very moment his fingertip touched the clock, it emitted an unprecedented dazzling light.

Immediately afterwards, Angel heard a ”tick-tock tick-tock” sound in his ears. He looked up and saw that the hands, which had been frozen, began to move.

Only, it wasn’t moving clockwise like a normal clock, but counterclockwise.

As the hands turned, a suction force came from the center of the clock, sweeping a large amount of golden light into the clock.

Among these golden lights, there were phantom shadows of clocks of various styles; they were all turning counterclockwise... At this moment, time seemed to be reversing.

The suction became stronger and stronger, and in the end, Angel was also drawn into the golden light, alongside the various clock phantoms around him, into the golden clock.

After Angel disappeared.

The hands of the golden clock returned to zero, as if nothing had ever happened.

...

Compared to Angel’s situation, the fate of the Observer was much more miserable.

He, along with Polo Ye and Gluz Deward, were swallowed into the Dalmatian’s stomach and found themselves in a colossal pure white chamber, sealed off on all sides.

This chamber was quite large. Standing in the center and looking towards the edge, it was at least several kilometers away.

Falling into the chamber, unlike Angel, they couldn’t use magic power. Their magic vortex was as if frozen in time past, unable to respond no matter how they called it.

There were no meridians of law in the chamber, and they couldn’t use the power of laws either.

The only thing not sealed was their physical strength.

However, the physical strength wasn’t enough to break the walls of the pure white chamber, not even leaving a mark.

In other words, they were completely trapped in this pure white chamber.

”Are we inside that dog’s belly?”

”What on earth is that Dalmatian?”

”Observer, you know Angel, did Angel ever mention anything about the Dalmatian, Shura?”

Chaotic conversations echoed continuously in the pure white chamber.

The Observer wore a bitter smile; he was still bewildered himself and didn’t know what had happened. As for Angel, he had just met him today, and there was no Dalmatian before, so how could he know anything about it?

But Polo Ye felt the Observer was hiding something and confronted him aggressively.

Now that their abilities were sealed, purely in terms of physical strength, Polo Ye considered himself the strongest, so he dared to jump out and accuse the Observer.

Even if the Observer explained, he couldn’t earn trust; he could only maintain silence despite having grievances he couldn’t express.

While chaos reigned in the pure white chamber, a familiar barking sound rang out.

The crowd turned to see, without knowing when, the little Dalmatian puppy had appeared in the chamber.

It walked step by step to the middle of the crowd, tilted its head, and looked at everyone with innocent eyes.

At this moment, for some reason, everyone seemed to understand its gaze.

— ”I’m giving you something good.”

Then the Dalmatian puppy opened its mouth, and a golden net-like structure appeared in the pure white chamber.

With its appearance, a terrifying attraction instantly swept through the entire chamber.

”It’s that mysterious fruit!” Polo Ye exclaimed.

Everyone present knew what the consequences would be if they were attracted by the mysterious fruit.

Unexpectedly, this Dalmatian was so cruel, actually throwing the mysterious fruit here... Most importantly, this was a closed chamber! They couldn’t escape even if they wanted to!

However, their panic only lasted for a moment.

Because they found that the mysterious fruit’s attraction wasn’t as strong as outside; if they expended their mental energy fully, keeping their spiritual power tightly drawn, they could barely ward off the attraction.

They dared not stop even a moment and immediately tightened up mentally.

Although the attraction was barely warded off, such prolonged mental tension would also become a mental ordeal. Everyone understood this, but to avoid being swallowed by the mysterious fruit, they had no choice.

Meanwhile, the Dalmatian puppy was unaffected, wandering in the pure white chamber step by step.

Looking left, looking right.

Finally, it stopped in front of the Observer.

Though the Observer was resisting the attraction, he allocated a bit of his mental energy to pay attention to the Dalmatian.

”Hey, I don’t have a grudge against you, right? I even helped you just now, and you treat me like this?”

The Dalmatian tilted its head, watching the Observer without response.

”Also, do you know Angel? Angel was the one holding you just now? I get along well with him.”

The Dalmatian continued watching the Observer, still unresponsive.

Just as the Observer thought it was an emotionless puppy, the Dalmatian suddenly raised its short, stout leg and gently kicked the Observer.

A tremendous force immediately sent the Observer flying.

After several kilometers, the Observer finally landed heavily. He was now at the edge of the pure white chamber.

He hadn’t been kicked this hard in years; the pain in his chest made him want to curse.

But when the Observer opened his eyes, he was stunned.

Huh, the attraction here... doesn’t seem so strong?

Though there was still attraction, it wasn’t so tight to resist!

The Observer stood up and looked towards the center of the pure white chamber. He could clearly see Polo Ye and Gluz Deward near the mysterious fruit, straining to resist with such furrowed brows they could clamp a fly to death.

Evidently, the closer to the mysterious fruit, the stronger the attraction.

That Dalmatian kicked him here not to punish him, but actually to secretly help him!

In that moment, the curse words on the tip of his tongue instantly turned into somewhat sincere praise.

Only, the object of his praise—the Dalmatian, had already left the pure white chamber and was gone...
