Chapter 2468: Chapter 2469: Take Him Away

The distance.

Although the last shell of the mysterious fruit has fallen, strangely, the blood-red mist shrouding the mysterious fruit shows no sign of dissipating.

This seems to indicate that it hasn’t completely lost order!

”Why is this? Isn’t the shedding of the shell the prelude to losing order?” The Observer was somewhat perplexed. From the various effects when the shell fell before, complete loss of order should have occurred the moment the shell was completely shed. But the current situation seems a bit different from what they speculated?

Have they overlooked something?

Are there other steps before complete disorder?

Just as the Observer was doubting himself, a shocking change appeared in the distance that left everyone stunned.

The previously overlooked Number 03 suddenly let out a piercing, heart-wrenching scream!

It was like the wail of a painful banshee from the dark abyss, carrying visible shock sound waves spreading in all directions.

When the sound waves spread around them, Angel’s brow slightly moved, and the surrounding green patterns filtered out all the destructive energy from the sound waves. What entered their ears was only the hysterical scream.

Within this scream, Angel heard a complex array of emotional information.

Wailing, pain, anger, defiance... and deep regret.

From the emotions read, it could be seen that Number 03 might have always retained a shred of sanity, but was previously suppressed by the power of the mysterious fruit. This suppression led to the continuous accumulation of 03’s emotions until this moment, when they were finally released.

However, releasing emotions does not mean that Number 03 was saved.

She herself knew very well that she was doomed.

The wailing now might just be a way to vent her frustration, expressing her unwillingness through this means.

Their speculation was not wrong; after the wailing, the bark-like skin of Number 03 started to crack and crumble.

The skin was just the beginning. Next were the fat, muscles, internal organs, bones... Everything inside and outside Number 03 dissolved like a statue made of sand blown by the wind, turning into yellow light particles.

And these yellow light particles formed a line, merging into the blood-red mist above.

Strangely, the blood-colored mist that had long shrouded the mysterious fruit finally began to fade with the injection of the yellow light points.

Behind the mist, the metallic mesh structure began to faintly appear.

”So that’s it... The final condition for the mysterious fruit to completely lose order was not to devour sea beasts and wizards, but to perform a blood sacrifice on the parasitic host.” The Observer finally understood why Number 03 seemed unscathed before; logically, the mysterious fruit did not have the ’emotion’ to support the parasite. It turned out the mysterious fruit had long set it up, making Number 03 its ultimate sacrifice for rebirth and complete disorder.

The Observer previously held a negative view of Number 03 due to the current chaos she caused. Now, the view still isn’t good, but one has to admit that Number 03, as the final sacrifice, bought them time.

They should be able to leave here before the disorderly thing completely loses order.

With this thought, the Observer turned back to look at the space rift.

At this moment, the space rift had already opened to half a person’s height. However, there was still a large amount of spatial cutting energy inside, and it was still impossible to stably connect the two ends.

Nevertheless, the enlargement of the space rift allowed them to see the newcomer beyond the rift.

It was a young boy with his head lowered.

His appearance couldn’t be seen for now, but his hair was a mass of blazing flames, and his skin was deep bronze, reflecting a bright orange sheen under the fiery hair’s illumination.

”Fire Luo People?” The Observer murmured.

The Fire Luo People are a humanoid race from the Majestic Plane. Their hallmark features are their dark skin and blazing fiery hair, making them a fire-friendly race. If this race produces ability users, they mostly relate to fire manipulation. In the Majestic Plane, they are considered a rather powerful race, and they have always harbored hostility towards outsider wizard humans, viewing them as invaders.

If any nation in the Majestic Plane encounters riots or protests against outsider humans, the Fire Luo People are often behind inciting these actions.

Wizards are no fools; they are fully aware of the turmoil in the Majestic Plane, but they never target the Fire Luo People. Do giants need to pay attention to the nonsense of ants?

Moreover, many human wizards are actually even more chaotic individuals than the Fire Luo People. They prefer chaos to a united nation. Even if it means making themselves targets as a source of chaos, they are quite willing.

Angel also saw the newcomer, but he had long received the news and knew full well the newcomer’s identity: the Lord of the Phantom Spirit City, Gluz Deward. However, he hadn’t expected this Lord to be a Fire Luo person. Or was this simply another avatar for his divine thought?

As Angel speculated in his heart, the Fire Luo person opposite suddenly raised his head.

The slightly long fiery hair obscured his eyes, but his high nose and slightly curved smile were visible.

The Observer found that slightly eerie smile somewhat familiar and felt a slight sense of dread.

At this moment, because the space rift was torn open again, a large amount of wind immediately poured into the void.

These strong winds also tried to scatter the Fire Luo person’s fiery hair.

At this moment, the Observer finally saw the true face of the Fire Luo person. Admittedly, from a human aesthetic perspective, this was quite a handsome young man, with perfect facial proportions, and his eyes were the same bright orange as his fiery hair.

However, the first thing the Observer noticed wasn’t the Fire Luo person’s appearance, but the emblem-like pattern on his brow.

The pattern had a regularly rounded outer boundary, with beautiful lines inside that depicted a beast pattern from an unknown origin.

”This is...” the Observer’s pupils suddenly shrank: ”Gluz Deward’s Phantom Inscription!”

Hearing the Observer’s exclamation, Polo Ye beside him smugly said, ”Shura, you’re not that uninformed.”

The Observer’s expression turned somewhat unsightly.

Seeing this, Angel wondered if he should say something at this time... Even if he knew who the newcomer was, he should appropriately pretend to keep his persona intact.

”Sir, what is the Phantom Inscription?” Angel picked an appropriate question to enter the topic. In fact, he genuinely didn’t know.

The Observer was about to speak, but Polo Ye beat him to it: ”The Phantom Inscription was created by the great Lord of the City. Every Diamond Citizen of the Phantom Spirit City is granted a unique Phantom Inscription, possessing incredible power.”

Angel suitably displayed a shocked expression: ”Huh?! So, the noble assistance called by the Lord is the supreme Diamond Citizen of the Phantom Spirit City?”

Polo Ye revealed a mysterious, profound smile but said nothing.

The Observer on the side said, ”In Phantom Spirit City, every Illusory Spirit Inscription corresponds to a citizen, and the Illusory Spirit Inscription on this Fire Luo person’s forehead corresponds to... the City Lord of Phantom Spirit City, Lord Gluz Deward.”

After the Observer spoke, he didn’t pay attention to Angel’s suddenly shocked and flamboyant performance but looked at Polo Ye: ”Did the Lord of the City really come in person?”

Polo Ye said proudly, ”Shoo~ro~ didn’t you see it?”

”The Bald Eagle Pope of the chaotic sect, as far as I know, returned to the Origin World thirty years ago. With him restraining things in the Origin World, the Lord of the City’s true body shouldn’t stray far from Phantom Spirit City... So, is this his divine thought avatar?”

”Bald Eagle Pope” Hennat Logusla is a level six Wizard, at the peak of Legend, and has long-standing grudges with Gluz Deward, having attacked Phantom Spirit City multiple times while Gluz Deward was away, causing many citizen deaths.

Therefore, generally speaking, as long as this pope is in the Origin World, Gluz Deward basically will not leave Phantom Spirit City.

”Even if it’s a divine thought avatar, can it not capture the Observer’s attention? Shoo ro?”

The Observer was silent for a moment: ”I didn’t mean that.”

He just didn’t expect that Gluz Deward would actually come in person... This makes things very complicated.

Even if the other party is just a divine thought, he has at least mid-Legendary strength or even higher. Such a powerful Wizard descending on the Southern Domain is a troublesome matter, since the Southern Domain is merely a foundational realm of the Wizards’ Realm. If Gluz Deward does anything excessive, it will be a disaster.

If he unleashes his full power, he could be comparable to a Demon God catastrophe.

Facing such an existence, even as an Observer, it’s difficult to interfere.

Polo Ye seemed to see through the Observer’s thoughts, and grinned: ”Are you worried about the safety of the Southern Domain? Shoo ro? Do you think the Lord of the City is very foolish?”

Even though the Southern Domain has been away from the Origin World for many years, it cannot be denied that the four-sided Wizards’ Realm is the cornerstone of the Origin World. Gluz Deward, no matter how foolish, can’t cause trouble here.

If he really did something, going back to the Origin World, he would face not just one Bald Eagle Pope, but an entire torrent of Wizard organizations.

”Rest assured, the Lord of the City won’t do unnecessary things; he might even take you out of here. Be grateful for it~ shoo ro~”

”I hope that’s true.” After the Observer spoke, he glanced at the Fire Luo youth on the other side of the Space Rift and quickly retracted his gaze.

Seeing the Observer’s clearly cautious yet indifferent expression, Polo Ye’s mischievous side suddenly arose: ”Of course, the Lord of the City has no time to do other unnecessary things; he will only do two things in the Southern Domain.”

”First, take me away.”

The Observer said in a half-mocking tone, ”Being favored by the Lord of the City indeed lives up to such a splendid prefix.”

Polo Ye didn’t care about the Observer’s sarcasm, smilingly continued, ”The second thing, want to guess? Shoo ro?”

The Observer glanced at the distant mysterious fruit and said nothing, but the meaning was obvious.

Gluz Deward’s arrival is certainly also for the chaotic item. It’s just uncertain if he can take this chaotic item. The Observer inwardly grumbled.

But Polo Ye waved his tentacle: ”Wrong, although the chaotic item is good, given the current situation, acquiring it would require a lot of time analyzing mechanisms and finding a breakthrough point. The Lord of the City doesn’t have that much time; the second reason he descended this time is actually...”

Polo Ye paused, waiting until both the Observer and Angel looked at him curiously, and then he raised five tentacles, all pointing to one place—

Angel!

”The Lord has taken a fancy to him; he will become the Lord’s captive!”

Everyone was astonished.

Especially Angel, whose face was puzzled; he was entirely an outsider to the whole affair, maintaining a cautious attitude ever since he returned to the center of the Mist Belt, afraid of getting involved in unnecessary matters and getting drawn into danger.

Unexpectedly, even being so ”avoiding,” he was still targeted?

Moreover, there was no prior indication; moments ago, he was merely an onlooker!

The Observer’s face also changed abruptly; he didn’t expect the City Lord of Phantom Spirit City to be interested in Angel...

The Observer said in a cold voice, ”You noticed Angel’s abnormality before and pretended not to know?”

Polo Ye: ”With such strength to explore the mysterious level, brilliance cannot be hidden.”

Sure enough.

Polo Ye had long noticed Angel’s abnormality.

This ”mystery Alchemist potential” like Angel is actually common in the Origin World, but someone like Angel, at such a young age with such strength and so close to the mysterious level, is virtually unprecedented. At least currently, there are none in the Origin World.

Any organization discovering this ”wild” potential like Angel will inevitably want to recruit him.

And recruitment by a Wizard organization is not the refined kind imagined.

Violence, brutality, forceful abductions... are the norm.

Everything made sense now, but the Observer didn’t expect that Gluz Deward’s divine thought avatar would personally come to take Angel... If it were just Polo Ye, perhaps he could delay a bit. However, even if he could delay for a while, it wouldn’t last forever. Polo Ye returning to Phantom Spirit City would inevitably inform Gluz Deward, and by then, Angel would still be captured, unless he could join another organization capable of rivaling Phantom Spirit City, like the Orderly Guild.

If the script really developed this way, the Observer would be willing to pay a price to take Angel to the Orderly Guild in the Origin World, because he is indeed a rare talent.

But the script wasn’t unfolding this way.

Gluz Deward has personally descended, and even as a divine thought, he is unstoppable.

Even as the Observer, he can’t stop him.

Regarding the Observer warning outsiders not to ”interfere” with Southern Domain matters, that is indeed his responsibility, but Gluz Deward is too strong. His warning would be futile and could even provoke dislike. In such cases, there is leniency in the oath.

So, the Observer can’t stop Gluz Deward for Angel.

In other words, in the eyes of the Observer and Polo Ye... Angel’s fate is already sealed.

The Observer looked at the still bewildered Angel, sighed lightly, and patted his shoulder: ”At least, you won’t die.”

With a skill like this, Angel surely won’t be killed by Gluz Deward. But whether he can live well, that’s hard to say.

One can only hope that Gluz Deward will be lenient with Angel’s ”human” identity considering his Alchemy potential.
