Chapter 2088: Chapter 2089: Gift

By the way, this Void Traveler can also communicate with people through spiritual vibrations.

However, whether this communication ability is unique to it or if all Void Travelers possess it, Angel does not know.

Angel thought for a moment, there are normal versions of Void Travelers here, he could just test it out to find out.

With this in mind, Angel extended a Spirit Tentacle and touched a Void Traveler bound by the black mist tentacle. It seemed to be in a stress response, startled by the wave of Angel’s spiritual power, and after a fright, it kept transmitting fear.

Although it showed obvious emotions, no matter how Angel tried to send a message to it, there was no feedback.

The fear was actually growing heavier.

After careful Observation, Angel could determine that this Void Traveler had a certain level of intelligence, but could not communicate with people.

It’s not unwilling to speak, but unable to.

It simply does not have the ability for spiritual power communication.

In other words, the Void Traveler caught in the precious Birdcage is indeed unique in its communication ability.

However, Angel was very puzzled whether the Dalmatian valued its communication ability? It didn’t seem like it.

While Angel was pondering this, the Boiling Gentleman suddenly walked to Angel’s side: ”Lord Shava, you seem to have an interest in this group of little guys?”

Angel’s previous act of probing the Void Traveler with spiritual power was clearly noticed by the Boiling Gentleman.

Initially, Angel wanted to shake his head as he wasn’t very interested in the Void Travelers.

But before shaking his head, he glanced at the Dalmatian, ”longingly” looking at the precious Birdcage from afar, and a thought struck him, stifling the words that had reached his throat: ”Indeed, I have some interest, but my greatest interest is still in that one.”

Angel pointed in the direction of the precious Birdcage.

”It looks obviously different from its kind. Moreover, it seems to have some Special Ability.” Angel said this to see if the Boiling Gentleman knew what its Special Ability was and why it attracted the Dalmatian’s attention.

Boiling Gentleman: ”This one is indeed different from its clan, seemingly a mutant. As Lord Shava said, there is a very interesting power within it. However, I have not started researching it, so I cannot determine the source of this power.”

Angel nodded, it seemed indeed to have Special Ability, but the Boiling Gentleman had not yet researched it either.

”If Lord Shava is interested in its Special Ability, then I will give it to Lord Shava.”

Boiling Gentleman said these words very suddenly, catching Angel off guard.

He was indeed thinking about whether he could use rhetoric to get this Void Traveler, but by ”get,” he did not mean to take it himself, as he wasn’t particularly interested in the Void Traveler. He was planning to hint that the Dalmatian had an interest in this Void Traveler, and if the Boiling Gentleman didn’t value it too much, perhaps he could give it to the Dalmatian.

After all, the Dalmatian is Minister Dim’s most favored pet, and the Boiling Gentleman respects Minister Dim greatly. Angel thought the success rate of persuading the Boiling Gentleman with rhetoric wasn’t low.

But unexpectedly, before he even spoke, the Boiling Gentleman had already offered to give it.

The Boiling Gentleman’s generosity meant either Angel overestimated the Boiling Gentleman’s regard for this Void Traveler or underestimated Shava’s status.

Whatever the case, now that the Boiling Gentleman said it, it left Angel in an awkward position in responding.

Whether he accepted or declined now, both seemed inconvenient.

Accepting it would mean accepting the Boiling Gentleman’s favor, but he had no need for the Void Traveler, accepting this favor was not as valuable as accepting the refinement method of the Power Furnace.

But declining... Angel turned his eyes toward the distant Dalmatian, which was already gazing at him with shining eyes, clearly having heard the Boiling Gentleman’s words.

Directly refusing would also let down the Dalmatian.

Although he could refuse it initially and then find a way to persuade the Boiling Gentleman to transfer it to the Dalmatian, this would clearly be unnatural. Besides... the Dalmatian probably wouldn’t understand why this was necessary.

Angel weighed his options and ultimately nodded: ”Then I thank the Boiling Gentleman.”

He thought that making it too complicated might ultimately please neither side. It was better to be straightforward, accept the Boiling Gentleman’s favor, and then exchange it for a favor with the Dalmatian.

And the Dalmatian carries more weight than the Boiling Gentleman, so reciprocating in this way he would actually gain more.

In terms of friendship, the Dalmatian has helped him multiple times, even saving him, so Angel was pleased to repay the Dalmatian in these matters.

”Since Lord Shava is interested in this group, then I will also give these to Lord Shava.” The Boiling Gentleman gave a slight wave, and the normal version of the Void Traveler, bound in mid-air by the black mist tentacles, was stuffed into the precious Birdcage.

Next, the precious Birdcage was handed to Angel.

Angel remembered that the oversized version of the Void Traveler was already cramped in the precious Birdcage before. If twelve more Void Travelers were added, wouldn’t it be even more packed?

Angel couldn’t help but use spiritual power to take a peek at the Birdcage... Sure enough, as he expected, they were all crowded together, like a blob of mud, but they barely fit.

Angel weighed the Birdcage in his hand, although quite large, it wasn’t heavy.

He didn’t store the Birdcage in his bracelet but instead handed it to the Dalmatian. He didn’t have much interest in this group of Void Travelers and was more inclined to repay the Dalmatian for the kindness it had shown him.

Angel remembered that the Dalmatian’s belly had a large space, expecting it to swallow the Birdcage, but the Dalmatian didn’t do that. Instead, it elongated its tail, wrapping it around the Birdcage much like Nuka using its tail to wrap its hat.

However the Dalmatian handled it, Angel didn’t concern himself, as it was already gifted to it.

After dealing with the little drama caused by the Void Traveler, the Boiling Gentleman turned the topic back to the Power Furnace.

Angel also appropriately expressed keen interest, joining in the discussion of the Power Furnace.

However, this time Angel decided not to ask the Boiling Gentleman for the refinement method of the Power Furnace again.

He had already taken advantage twice from the Boiling Gentleman, although the Light Solvent was not yet in hand, the Boiling Gentleman had promised it. If, under these circumstances, he continued to ask for more, Angel himself would feel too greedy.

Thus, he had to restrain his thoughts and not think about the Power Furnace anymore.
