Chapter 2072: Chapter 2073: Rose District

”Only by completely killing the Creator can I break free from all shackles.”

Mad’s answer took Angel by surprise. But thinking back, it seemed to make some sense. Just... the logic was a little... skewed.

However, whether Mad could ultimately kill the Creator, Angel didn’t particularly care. Right now, he was more interested in knowing when he could leave this place.

Angel looked up at the sky, watching the grey mist roll above their heads.

Mad seemed to have guessed Angel’s thoughts and said, ”They are preparing to leave here to spread the faith of performance studies outside the Xinnai Land.”

”However, they don’t dare come down right now.”

Angel: ”Huh?”

Mad glanced at Angel: ”Because Lady Shava is here, they don’t dare to descend.”

These illusion spores, before they merge with a human body, actually gather a common consciousness. This common consciousness allows them to recognize respect and hierarchy. Even though they are immensely drawn to the Nightmare Realm aura emanating from Angel, the identity disparity makes them afraid to approach.

Angel thought for a moment, then stepped back several hundred meters.

As soon as Angel stood at a distance, the grey mist in the sky began to churn, then surged into the chimney like a swarm, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Angel returned to the vicinity of the chimney; since the illusion spores had disappeared, it was time for them to leave.

As he and the Boiling Gentleman prepared to approach the chimney, Mad, who was latched onto the chimney, suddenly spoke: ”Dear Lady Shava, Misty Goldlady truly did not mean it earlier; she originally intended to consult with you first before bringing you over. But she was too shy to speak up, so...”

As Mad was halfway through speaking, Angel interrupted: ”You’ve mentioned this before, I understand.”

Though knowing was knowing, Angel did not say whether he forgave Misty Goldlady.

Mad opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing more; it had come to try and clear Misty Goldlady’s name but seeing it was ineffective, it gave up.

Angel ignored Mad, nodded to the Boiling Gentleman, and they hopped into the chimney one after the other.

Upon entering the chimney, Angel felt as if he were sliding down a long slide. This slide wasn’t strictly downward; at several points, it curved upward.

This chimney journey took less than a minute. When they exited through a black hole, they had fully parted from the dome of Duling Garden.

After coming to a standstill, Angel began to survey their surroundings.

They found themselves in a rather luxurious room. The room was large, with a tall bed covered by embroidered rose-pattern silk curtains, thick plush carpets, and various exquisitely detailed furnishings and decorations.

Behind them stood an upright rose-patterned mirror.

Clearly, the chimney exit was this mirror.

Angel reached out to touch the mirror surface; it was solid, his hand did not go through.

”Though the exit is here, the entrance to Duling Garden is in the Rose Baron’s garden. There, a gigantic mushroom swallows you to enter Duling Garden,” the Boiling Gentleman explained as he moved towards the window, pointing in a direction: ”It’s that mushroom.”

Angel walked closer to look out the window.

The room they were in must have been high up, offering a bird’s-eye view of the outside scene.

He first saw distant houses shrouded in fog; though mist-covered, he could vaguely discern that the buildings were somewhat dilapidated.

Despite the ruin, the houses varied in height, resembling a city in miniature.

However, this city might be Wasteland City.

Drawing his gaze back, following the Boiling Gentleman’s gesture, he saw a giant mushroom standing proudly on piles of white bones.

This mushroom stood not only on bones but also had mycelia draped with remains, the majority being human skeletons.

The mushroom’s mouth was open wide, revealing terrifying fangs and a blood-red interior.

Could that be the entrance to Duling Garden? As Angel looked at those rows of sharp teeth, he felt a chill crawl up his spine.

”Only those with Origin aura can enter Duling Garden through its mouth; other creatures will be chewed and swallowed,” the Boiling Gentleman explained.

Angel withdrew his gaze, maintaining a calm exterior, though internally, his emotions were tumultuous.

Not even considering the mushroom’s impact, the surrounding wasteland city was more startling. Though he had heard of the regions during a banquet, he had underestimated the ruins left after Xinnai’s arrival.

It’s as if it’s a world unto itself.

”Let’s go,” Angel suppressed his internal tumult and said to the Boiling Gentleman.

The Boiling Gentleman nodded, heading towards the main door. Angel followed suit, and as he passed the bed veiled by silk curtains, he vaguely noticed a dark shadow inside...

After leaving the previous room, Angel followed the Boiling Gentleman through long corridors, up and down labyrinth-like staircases. Despite feeling they had climbed to the top, upon opening the exit door, they found themselves outside on the ground floor.

Throughout this journey, Angel remained silent because he had witnessed many frightening things, not just the shadow on the bed, but also various eerie creatures along the way.

Fortunately, the eerie creatures seemed uninterested in attacking, leaving them in peace.

According to the Boiling Gentleman, this was Rose Castle, home to Rose Baron’s minions. Though Rose Baron hadn’t descended with Xinnai and remained in the Nightmare Realm, his castle had projected down, with the eerie creatures serving as guardians.

Angel did not test these eerie creatures’ strength, but he sensed their power was not to be underestimated.

Outside Rose Castle remained Rose Baron’s domain.

According to the Boiling Gentleman, in the Nightmare Realm, this place could be called the Rose District, inhabited by numerous Nightmare Realm demons commanded by the Rose Baron.

It was much like Naraku City Angel had visited in the Nightmare Realm.

In Naraku City, many formidable entities guarded various sectors, keeping watch over the entire city — a place even Sanders dared not explore.

Perhaps the Rose Baron was a similar presence... meaning the opponent’s power in the Nightmare Realm was at least Legendary level.
