Chapter 2067: Chapter 2068: The Advent of Xinai

From Nuka’s perspective, the request proposed by Shava is acceptable. As far as Nuka is concerned, it’s not a big deal, since Fei Gentleman’s creation of the Seed of Distortion is fundamentally a way to further protect the Xinnai Land. Although this might mean its subordinate Minavaro might suffer a slight loss, it’s actually inconsequential, as Minavaro’s tentacles naturally fall off, and it doesn’t touch the root cause, just perhaps a blow to face.

Therefore, Nuka doesn’t mind it.

From Minavaro’s perspective, Shava’s sudden request is actually quite reasonable. Whether Shava is genuinely interested in the Seed of Distortion or just using it to reprimand Minavaro, this action guarantees the transgressions he committed at the banquet will be erased.

Just lose a bit to the annoying Fei Gentleman. If it allows him to gain Shava’s forgiveness, it’s worth it.

Looking from Fei Gentleman’s angle, it’s even better. Not only does he gain Shava’s favor, but he also gets the main materials for the Seed of Distortion. He achieves his primary objectives, how could he not be happy?

As for Angel, in his own eyes, he is definitely the biggest beneficiary.

Since participating in this banquet, he’s been carefully maintaining the role of ”Shava”, absolutely unwilling to engage in any conflicts, avoiding exposing his identity, and preventing offending other guests. While it might sound cowardly, he knows nothing about the situation here, and all the guests are stronger than him; offending anyone might lead to his doom, since he isn’t truly Shava.

Yet, this time, his sudden expression of curiosity in the Seed of Distortion seems to change his cautious setup, but it actually doesn’t.

The timing of his involvement is incredibly clever, not provoking any party. Nuka might merely think Angel’s request somewhat willful, but not excessive; even Minavaro wouldn’t see the request as unreasonable, after all, Angel’s request is merely to observe Fei Gentleman create the Seed of Distortion, rather than confronting Minavaro directly.

Each side regards it as reasonable, therefore Angel avoids offending anyone, which is also a cautious choice.

The most important is, he can achieve his goal—

”After the banquet, head to Fei Gentleman’s territory!” This is Angel’s biggest objective.

Firstly, Angel is genuinely curious about the Seed of Distortion, given its overwhelmingly powerful capabilities; possessing it would be a formidable weapon.

Secondly, the territory managed by Fei Gentleman, the Misty Corridor, is near the entrance of the ruins. As long as he reaches the Misty Corridor, he has a chance to leave the ruins, which is Angel’s final goal.

Choosing the best time to involve in this matter, not offending any side, yet achieving the goal of ”leaving”, Angel couldn’t be happier.

Angel now maintains a calm expression, but his mood is rare and clear, witnessing dawn breaking through.

Of course, Angel hasn’t been carried away by pride. Because, the banquet isn’t over yet, although it’s currently tranquil, nobody knows what might happen in the next second.

Moreover, Angel has yet to discern the essence of this banquet. He doesn’t believe it’s purely to welcome Shava, that simple.

Perhaps the banquet has other purposes.

So it’s too early to celebrate, caution is still paramount.

Angel suppressed his excitement and refocused his attention on Minavaro. The banquet continues, and after Fei Gentleman spoke about the progress in his area, now it ought to be Minavaro’s turn.

Minavaro glared fiercely at Fei Gentleman, although still somewhat disgruntled, it dared not show any temper in front of Master Nuka and Shava.

”The area I’m in charge of is the Cross Place...”

Previously the White Maidservant mentioned the Cross Place deals with spatial issues. Later Fei Gentleman vaguely hinted that the Dalmatian seemed to have snuck out of the Cross Place.

This makes Angel highly interested in the Cross Place. Because, judging from various clues, the Cross Place seems to be the location of the spatial passage within this semi-plane.

Generally speaking, a spatial passage connecting the Nightmare Realm within a semi-plane is the core location. The Cross Place is probably the most crucial part of the ruins at present.

Minavaro’s narrative mostly covered the current construction progress of the Cross Place, yet some minute details in his speech helped Angel gain a general understanding of the Cross Place.

Indeed, his speculation was correct, there’s a channel leading to the Nightmare Realm within the Cross Place!

However, what surprised Angel was, the channel to the Nightmare Realm seems not to be the main function of the Cross Place.

Because what Minavaro mentioned wasn’t related to the Nightmare Realm channel, but rather discussed projection progress.

Initially, Angel didn’t grasp what Minavaro meant by projection until later during his dialogue with Nuka, allowing Angel to vaguely sense something.

Minavaro: ”Arcana’s bizarre palace, its projection progress has reached the stage of near completion, I’ve already positioned the projection coordinates near the Sunken Cemetery, just a little longer and it will descend...”

Nuka nodded: ”Has there been any news from Arcana’s Shadow?”

Minavaro shook his head: ”Just like the lord of Mystic Forest and Demon Flower Sea, Arcana’s Shadow doesn’t intend to descend together with the bizarre palace.”

After hearing that, Nuka wasn’t too surprised: ”Arcana’s Shadow is the proudest spirit in the Xinnai Land, never interested in the territories of humans, it’s more inclined to visit the Everdistant World. After all, its ’reality’ originates from Everdistant World.”

Nuka stopped discussing Arcana’s Shadow, yet Angel’s heart stirred tremendously at this moment.

He clearly remembers hearing from the bee Blair that Xinnai Land is within the ruins. However, from Nuka’s words now, Angel’s perceived a truth.

Xinnai Land is not only within the ruins, but also exists in the Nightmare Realm! There’s even a possibility that the Xinnai Land in the Nightmare Realm is the original version.

Because Angel recalled a repeatedly heard term: Xinnai Descent.

Perhaps the so-called Xinnai Descent involves projecting the Xinnai Land from the Nightmare Realm into reality!

The more Angel pondered, the likelier it seemed. He had always been puzzled why this place has mountains, gardens, docks... it appears all-encompassing. Upon hearing Minavaro mention Arcana’s bizarre palace will project near the Sunken Cemetery, Angel realized, perhaps the regions here are actually derived through ”Xinnai Descent”, they exist primarily in the Nightmare Realm!

Though Angel doesn’t understand why they would project Xinnai Land from the Nightmare Realm into reality, it’s clear he has gradually touched upon the truth of this ruins.
