Chapter 2042: Chapter 2043: Unstable Spiritual Body

Angel looked at the blurry spirit lying on the fiery red ground, his expression slightly surprised.

”Did it really succeed?”

He initially just wanted to experiment because when he activated his right eye earlier, the pressure it emitted not only immobilized the mushrooms but even the viridian mist floating in the air seemed to freeze in time, stopping completely.

For this reason, upon learning from the little ones that the viridian mist within Reeves’ spirit would evade, he decided to try using the pressure from his right eye’s green pattern to see if he could intimidate the viridian mist.

And in the end, he really succeeded!

Angel activated the green pattern of his right eye, and as the mask appeared, the terrifying pressure suppressed Reeves’ spirit. Not only did the viridian mist stop moving, but even the continuous strange mushroom phenomena on him ceased.

Seizing the opportunity, the little ones moved forward and absorbed all the viridian mist from within Reeves.

Although from the appearance of the spirit, Reeves was still wearing a huge green mushroom hat, Angel repeatedly confirmed with the little ones that the viridian mist inside him was indeed gone.

Angel himself also had some research on souls; from his perspective, Reeves now was almost like a normal soul, at most his soul force was purer and stronger. After all, he was an Official Wizard in life, which is understandable.

The only regret is that Reeves’ spirit form is unstable.

Perhaps it was because the viridian mist had long integrated with Reeves’ spirit, becoming a fundamental unit of its composition. When all the viridian mist was absorbed, his spirit immediately became unstable.

The current manifestation is that his form has become somewhat blurry. The outline of the soul is not clear, sometimes even merging into the air, giving a feeling that the spirit might dissipate at any moment.

Due to the instability of the spirit, Reeves’ soul consciousness cannot be smoothly expressed. Perhaps in Reeves’ own consciousness, he has already completely died and entered the dark abyss; but in reality, his spirit is just unstable and on the verge of dissipating.

Although for a soul, an unstable spirit is indeed serious, compared to being controlled by the viridian mist and ultimately becoming a mushroom spirit, the current result is much better.

At least, an unstable spirit can still possibly be saved, being assimilated by the viridian leaves no chance of rescue.

Angel took a golden-patterned church exuding a bone-chilling cold from the space in his bracelet, carved from white bones. The pale bones and brilliant gold fused, creating a strange beauty.

This is the Dead’s Church, Tullas’ soul body has been sleeping inside.

The main body of the Dead’s Church is cast from the ”Bone of the Departed,” which can become a dwelling place for undead souls. Coupled with the ”Deathly Stillness Magic Pattern” carved on the base, releasing a lot of cold death energy, it can slowly enhance the soul power of the undead.

Since Angel saved Reeves’ soul, he naturally intends to take him away from this ruin, and the Dead’s Church is prepared as a temporary dwelling for Reeves.

Reeves’ spirit is damaged, the death energy in the Dead’s Church can slowly help Reeves repair his foundation. Even if it cannot be completely repaired in the end, living in the Dead’s Church, Reeves doesn’t have to worry about his spirit dissipating.

Angel circled his spiritual power inside the Dead’s Church, finally choosing a small attic at the top of the church tower as Reeves’ room.

Once Angel placed Reeves inside the attic, he noticeably felt that Reeves’ soul no longer emitted soul force, and its form didn’t continue to blur, everything seemed to be improving.

”The Dead’s Church was refined when I was an apprentice, the demonic materials are simple, and many functions are not yet perfect, Tullas’ soul force growth is also slow...” Angel muttered under his breath, ”It needs to be upgraded, I should refine a new one after a while.”

Angel withdrew his gaze, confirmed that Reeves was okay, and then put the Dead’s Church back inside the bracelet.

Encountering Reeves was an accident. Although Angel intends to take him outside, he actually doesn’t know how to leave now.

”Let’s continue forward, go see Misty Goldlady.” Angel sighed softly, ”If Misty Goldlady’s personality is as Reeves said, it might be a bit difficult to pass her test.”

But no matter what, to leave, he must meet Misty Goldlady.

Angel slowly rose from the Lake Heart Island in the magma lake.

When Angel flew into the air, the small island made of a large number of fire element minerals was instantly engulfed by the surrounding magma.

The existence of Lake Heart Island was for Reeves. Since Reeves has disappeared, there’s naturally no need for Lake Heart Island to exist.

Even this flame-absorbing mushroom forest will likely gradually disappear, after all, this mushroom forest’s development relied entirely on Reeves, after exhausting Reeves, it will naturally return to normal.

Angel shook his head, did not dwell further, found the direction, and flew over.

After flying over the magma lake, Angel did not land again, just slightly lowered the flight height, flying close to the ground quickly forward. This way, whether encountering danger on the ground or in the sky, Angel can quickly respond.

In this fiery red mushroom forest, Angel was not very worried about dangers because these mushrooms loved to ”chat” too much, any slight off situation, he could find clues from their conversations.

Angel now ”hung” on the mushroom forum, listening to their emotional comments while proceeding.

”That filthy guy is dead.”

”After all, he was at the end, dying is also normal. It’s just a pity, I still haven’t tasted the pure fruit he spawned.” The regretful tone of this mushroom made Angel’s expression very odd. Isn’t it just the fire-element life born from exhausting Reeves, why does it sound like eating his son?

”Deserved it! I just had a mycelium float over the magma lake and saw that filthy guy actually making a move on the honorable Shava! He deserves to die!” An indignant emotion instantly set the mushroom forum’s rhythm.

”Really? Oh, queen above! Such an intolerable thing actually happened, indeed filthy guys are always filthy!”

”Desecrating Lord Shava is just like stepping on my mushroom cap, I should have killed him first knowing this!”

”Yes! I feel insulted too!”

”I want to kneel before Lord Shava and ask for her forgiveness! It’s our fault for not detecting in advance, letting the filthy guy block her path.”

Angel initially wanted to observe if there’s any unusual movement in the mushroom forum so he could prepare in advance, ended up with a flood of non-stop plaudits, like they cost nothing.

Although the atmosphere in the mushroom forum was extremely consistent, it wasn’t without gains.

For example, Angel saw a post:

”It’s all Blair’s fault, that old guy actually put this filthy guy here, resulting in today’s situation! We must report! We must report!”

”Yes, report to Master Madman! Let him handle it!”
