The Xin Cheng College of Animal Husbandry and Technology is located outside the Ninth Ring of Pei Xin City.

Because certain means are prohibited within Pei Xin City, after comparing the speed of the Evil Coffin with that of the metro, Gu Xi decisively chose to take the metro.

This is because the underground transit network in Pei Xin City is quite extensive, and since the metro is a type of vehicle, you don’t need to know which line to take. You just need to buy a ticket and know your destination.

This is greatly convenient for some players who don’t know the way.

Gu Xi did just that, spending a few Gold Coins to get a ticket. With this ticket, Gu Xi could get a private compartment with a seat on the metro.

Although the seating space looks quite small, like a cube-shaped box just enough to sit in, he didn’t need to do anything else.

This box-like compartment automatically connects to the high-speed moving metro.

And it ensures that the player riding it isn’t affected by the underground vacuum.

You don’t even need to think about transfers; everything is fully automated, and Gu Xi only needs to know how many minutes until his stop.

With this kind of metro ride, Gu Xi just adapted a little and then didn’t bother with it.

After all, since everything is fully automated, being stuck in the small compartment feels like being a pig sent up the automatic slaughtering machine, just following the process.

He himself had no operational control at all.

If you don’t want to watch ads or pay to skip them, you wouldn’t even have a TV to watch on the route.

So Gu Xi simply took out the ”Taishan Prefect’s Secret Record” and read it.

To pass the time on the road.

Fifteen minutes later, the compartment Gu Xi was in glowed red, indicating that he had arrived at the station.

Gu Xi didn’t rush to get off; he finished reading the current section in his hand before pushing open the compartment door.

Stepping out of the compartment, Gu Xi saw a sea of people outside, tens of thousands of players crammed together, pushed by the crowd towards the metro station exit.

For the population size in Pei Xin City, Gu Xi was truly impressed.

In just such a thirteen-ring city, over a billion players are crammed in.

He didn’t know how they managed it.

It seems that while Bailian City might be rural, the countryside has its own benefits, not having to worry about a place to live or daily commutes at least.

After being pushed out of the metro station, Gu Xi found a place to rest for a while before setting off again.

This time it wasn’t too far, so Gu Xi simply walked.

Unlike the hurried people on the road, Gu Xi’s status now was rather leisurely.

He had time to look around and see if there were any suitable shops nearby.

As Gu Xi initially heard, most places near the Xin Cheng College of Animal Husbandry and Technology sell mounts, as well as some small pets.

However, specialized combat pets for Hunters were not sold here; that was the territory of New Hunter Association University.

Along the way, Gu Xi saw that most mount shops were of the Universal Element.

The main mounts sold were horses, pigs, cows, and sheep, with quality ranging from the most common White to Purple Quality.

Generally speaking, a White Quality mount is just an ordinary warhorse, as long as it can run.

While a Purple Quality not only is faster but also has some different abilities.

Gu Xi came here this time to enhance the Evil Coffin.

The Evil Coffin is fast, but not very comfortable to sit in, especially after riding Li Yufang’s wedding sedan for a while, Gu Xi felt his Evil Coffin’s quality was still lacking.

So Gu Xi was buying Silver Coffin, looking for various materials.

The goal was to see if he could enhance the Evil Coffin a bit.

The reason he didn’t inquire with the Necromancy Academy was because most mounts were in this area.

The Necromancy Academy barely had stores selling mounts, and even if there were, they typically sold mounts like Bone Horses, not specifically coffins.

Instead, because of the mount trade, this area also had carriage-making jobs.

So Gu Xi came here wanting to check if he should get something like the Nine Dragons Pulling Coffin.

As he walked down the street, Gu Xi’s eyes kept scanning the various signs.

Finally, Gu Xi’s eyes lit up as he found the target he’d been looking for.

Before coming here, the little old man told Gu Xi that there were only two reliable kinds of stores in Pei Xin City.

One is a millennium-old store, meaning a shop that has existed here for a thousand years, which everyone can trust.

The other is a three-generation legacy, meaning this shop has been in one family’s hand for at least three generations.

The sign before Gu Xi’s eyes had a small line of words.

Millennium-old store, passed down for two generations.

Further below, the sign also had the shop name and business scope.

It included what Gu Xi wanted: carriage crafting and upgrading, with no limits on the scope of carriages.

So Gu Xi turned and walked towards this shop, opened the shop door, and saw a little yellow-haired girl about fifteen years old doing homework.

When she saw Gu Xi come in, the little girl was stunned for a moment, then loudly called out, ”Dad, we have a customer!”

After speaking, she lowered her head again and continued doing her homework.

At this time, a burly man came out from the back of the shop, he looked about forty years old, with a strength level around 8, yet from his eyes, Gu Xi could tell he was probably over a hundred.

Seeing Gu Xi looking at him, he nodded too.

”Welcome, guest. What can I do for you?”

”I have a rather special mount that I want to upgrade. I’ve prepared all the materials myself, and even have the upgrade method. However, since I’m not a professional, I can’t do it myself.”

”I understand. You’ve definitely found a fitting upgrade formula for yourself somewhere and wish to upgrade it, but you don’t understand many things, right? This is what we’re most familiar with.

This is our expertise. You first release your mount. If possible, show me the upgrade plan or recipe you got. If you don’t trust me, that’s fine, just half is okay.

The methods of mount upgrading are roughly similar. Just seeing half, I can more or less know how to handle the rest.”

”Sure.”

Without thinking much, Gu Xi raised his hand and released the Evil Coffin.

When this boss looked at this flashy coffin before him, his eyes filled with a speechless expression.

Finally, he raised his head to look at Gu Xi.

”Coffin? Shouldn’t this be upgraded at the funeral supplies shop?”

”Just treat it as a carriage. This is the coffin’s shell and the method of handling it; see if you can do it.”
