Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 786: Chapter 784: Gu Xi Takes Action

The iron mine is actually not far from the burial ground, and it’s occupied by a group of iron-eating beasts.

But these beasts are not of high level, nor strong in combat power. Most importantly, their feces, when washed, are the most suitable iron granules, ready to be used for casting iron ingots.

So no one really bothers with this iron mine.

The Purple Immortal won’t target this place when hunting, and the White Immortal usually focuses on developing his own city rather than attacking here.

The Red Immortal always follows the White Immortal and wouldn’t come here for a senseless slaughter, she’s not that kind of bored existence that would do such a thing.

Thus, these beasts have survived up till now.

However, this time, the situation is not so good for these beasts.

When the Red Immortal brought Gu Xi over, these beasts saw that Gu Xi was weak and wanted to take a shot at him.

Although the Red Immortal was dissatisfied with her two brothers’ attitude towards Gu Xi, she also understood that Gu Xi must not get into trouble in her presence.

So when these beasts made a move, the Red Immortal decisively struck, punching one of the beasts and sending it flying.

Li Yufang was not the type to take responsibility for protecting Gu Xi either.

Her fighting style was to rush forward and take out all the enemies in one go.

In Li Yufang’s view, the best defense is offense.

The moment these beasts made a move on Gu Xi, Li Yufang dashed out immediately.

The Red Immortal only killed one enemy, while Li Yufang killed two.

At this point, Gu Xi could finally see what these beasts were like.

These beasts seemed to belong to a big family, numbering around four to five hundred.

More than half of these beasts had an aura beneath their feet, which was the standard for reaching Level 20.

They looked like elephants but didn’t have tusks. Instead, they had two thick trunks.

One trunk was thicker and shorter, occasionally lifted above their heads, apparently used for breathing.

The other trunk was longer and had sharp teeth in its nostrils, used for mining, feeding, and attacking.

The trunk that had just ambushed Gu Xi was one of these longer trunks.

That thing sprung out from over a hundred meters away, like a frog’s tongue that could fly far.

When facing such an enemy, Gu Xi even found it hard to determine whether they were considered long-range or close combat.

However, these beasts’ strength was just so-so, with the strongest only at Level 27.

Normally, it was just the sheer number of them. If Li Yufang came alone, she could easily kill all the enemies after a few familiar moves.

Now, with the Red Immortal, whose strength was about the same as Li Yufang, joining in, there was naturally no need to worry about this battle.

Gu Xi held the Illusion Magic Wand and stood before the Evil Coffin, watching intently as the Red Immortal fought over there.

Just as Gu Xi had thought, the first thing the Red Immortal did during the battle was release her Death Incarnation.

Her Death Incarnation was different from the three Death Incarnations of Gu Xi; it was a military general riding on a skeletal horse.

If forced to rank it, it would be found that behind this armored figure, there lay a sea of blood and a mountain of corpses.

The Red Immortal’s strength was already at Level 34, the same level as Li Yufang.

However, in terms of strengthening the Death Incarnation, she focused on leveling up the Death Incarnation without enhancing its combat power.

Gu Xi could clearly feel that the Red Immortal’s Death Incarnation must have reached Level 46, surpassing this world’s level limit.

But because the combat power wasn’t enhanced, not to mention the big shots stuck at Level 45, even the Purple Immortal might be able to match this Death Incarnation in battle.

Watching this Death Incarnation, Gu Xi suddenly had a not-so-good thought.

He remembered that the Lord of the Mansion also had mastery over the Death Incarnation’s abilities.

Considering the Lord of the Mansion’s Level 45, what level was his Death Incarnation?

And even this was not the strongest in this world, so what level was the strongest one in this world?

Thinking of this, Gu Xi broke into a cold sweat.

He had already thought about it: once he planted the Grass Returning Pill, he would immediately leave.

This was unbelievable.

It wasn’t even the strongest world, yet he ended up in such a tricky situation.

Forget it, better quickly take care of the matter at hand.

Gu Xi thought as he waved over to the Red Immortal’s Death Incarnation.

A Ghost Realm Battlefield was overlayed on the Red Immortal’s Death Incarnation.

Unlike Gu Xi, all of the Red Immortal’s ideas were focused on leveling the Death Incarnation.

She had not strengthened her Death Incarnation much.

She wasn’t aware that there was such a thing as the Ghost Realm Battlefield.

When the Ghost Realm Battlefield landed on the Death Incarnation, she noticed a mass of human heads piled into mounds near her Death Incarnation.

As her Death Incarnation charged forward, these mounds would appear one after another.

This phenomenon shocked the Red Immortal, and she turned to look at Gu Xi.

In her heart, she understood this was Gu Xi’s doing, and a thought crossed her mind: Perhaps Gu Xi had progressed further on the path of Death Incarnation than she had.

This made the Red Immortal understand the White Immortal’s thinking as well.

This one before her should not be offended.

So the Red Immortal raised her hand and pointed at the beasts, directing her Death Incarnation to charge at them.

The Red Immortal’s Death Incarnation immediately switched weapons, changing the long spear used for spearing to a long-handled broadsword.

On the warhorse, he continually swung the broadsword, with a range of effect quite large; with a single sweep, four to five beasts would be chopped into pieces.

After granting a Ghost Realm Battlefield to the Death Incarnation, Gu Xi did not make any more moves.

He stood on top of the Evil Coffin watching the battle, while internally, he was connected with Yalidu City through the Eye of the Soul.

”Has any new Undead appeared in the city? After giving the Ghost Realm Battlefield, it’s counted that I’m participating in the battle, isn’t it? Otherwise, how does a pure healer record achievements?”

Luna saw the situation outside through the Mysterious Mirror Image Space.

What Gu Xi had done, she naturally observed carefully.

At this moment, Luna understood what Gu Xi was thinking.

So Luna confidently said, ”My lord, after you laid the Ghost Realm Battlefield, the enemies killed by the Death Incarnation also count as our participation. I’ve already sent people to find the Undead converted through Double Death.

However, these guys are beasts, so the Undead transformed might be some beast-type Undead.”

”It’s fine, as long as they’re Undead. At least they can help me keep up appearances.

This world is too terrifying. If I don’t uphold appearances, I’m afraid I won’t last long.”

Luna immediately understood Gu Xi’s situation.

She also understood Gu Xi’s pressure staying in this world.

Without facing a battle, it was fine. But encountering a battle and being unable to take action was quite distressing for Gu Xi.
