Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 753: Chapter 751: Entering the High Tier Game World

The Teleportation Gate near East Willow Cemetery had long been prepared. With his knowledge, Gu Xi glanced at it and discovered that he couldn’t fully comprehend the layout of the Teleportation Gate.

The only part he could understand was the coordinates of the gate and the level cap for the world behind it.

The starting level of the world beyond the gate was Level 25, with a cap at Level 45.

Clearly, it was meant for players above Level 30 to upgrade.

Originally, Gu Xi was not allowed to enter such a world.

However, this world had a rule where mentors could guide students into higher-level worlds, helping them get accustomed to the dangers of advanced worlds.

Thus, as the guide for Liu Baiwei, Gu Xi could also enter this high-tier world.

The old man guarding the gate warned Gu Xi, ”Once inside, don’t act recklessly. Immediately break from Liu Baiwei and choose to leave that world right away.

Don’t be tempted to touch anything just because it catches your eye.

Even a random caterpillar there might have a higher level than you.”

Gu Xi nodded firmly; he had no intention of dying in the game like this.

At this moment, the two architects responsible for constructing the Teleportation Gate addressed Gu Xi.

”It’s ready; you can start your journey.”

Gu Xi couldn’t help but roll his eyes at their choice of words.

But Liu Baiwei had no such thoughts; he immediately stood on the Teleportation Gate and recited his game identification number.

Unfortunately, he had been dead for hundreds of years, and his game ID had long been erased.

He had no way to activate the Teleportation Gate now.

Otherwise, they would just send Liu Baiwei away without needing Gu Xi’s guidance.

”Senior Liu, no rush. Let me handle it.”

Gu Xi said as he walked to the gate, pressing a hand on Liu Baiwei’s shoulder.

”Game ID 629SHD2S0FXC30, requesting entry into the game world, profession Death Witch Lord, accompanied by one Undead as a Ghost with Level 29.”

As soon as Gu Xi finished speaking, the gate opened.

[Player ID 629SHD2S0FXC30 confirmed eligible according to level access rules.]

[Target confirmed, Game World ID UK24JDHT04W970! Would you like to enter?]

”Enter!”

As Gu Xi’s voice faded, the Teleportation Gate emitted a bright light that enveloped Gu Xi and Liu Baiwei.

Within this light, Gu Xi felt as though his entire body were about to ignite.

At that moment, Liu Baiwei spoke, ”Don’t resist. This world is unkind to those with weak power, and don’t casually absorb the spiritual qi from this world; your body can’t handle it.”

As he spoke, an aura-like layer formed around Liu Baiwei, shielding Gu Xi from most of the harsh forces.

Yet, this defense also made it impossible for Gu Xi to see his surroundings clearly.

He had to wait for the voice in his ear that would explain this world’s conditions.

[Warning: You are entering a high-tier world. This world’s level greatly exceeds yours. Please be aware of your body’s changes and leave immediately if transformations occur, to avoid uncontrollable mutations.]

[In this world, there exists a legend. If one can venture westward, cross the Black Water River—where even feathers would sink—and climb the snow-capped mountains to bypass the Cyan Phoenix’s nest, they can enter a city.

In this city, there’s something called the Immortal Pill, and anyone who takes it can instantly reach this world’s level cap.

However, as a price, they will forever remain trapped in this world, unable to leave a single step out.]

[So, the question arises: power and immortality, or the freedom to leave? What would you choose?]

Gu Xi heard the prompt, and naturally, Liu Baiwei heard it too.

At that moment, Liu Baiwei seemed to go crazy, tears streaming down his face.

”She must have encountered something; otherwise, she wouldn’t have come to such a world. She must be after that Immortal Pill that can instantly boost her to Level 45. I have to find her.”

”Wait, don’t cry. A ghost crying will lead to a lower level, and you won’t be able to help when you finally get there, right?”

Gu Xi barely had time to glance around before trying to calm Liu Baiwei down.

Gu Xi originally thought his responsibility would end after bringing Liu Baiwei here.

But Liu Baiwei was someone of good nature, and Gu Xi didn’t want him to get into trouble.

So, upon entering this world, Gu Xi did not choose to exit immediately; instead, he comforted Liu Baiwei.

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, Liu Baiwei realized that now was not the time to cry.

He was here to save someone, not to mourn a grave.

Thinking of this, Liu Baiwei quickly pulled himself together.

”Gu Xiaoyou, thank you so much for this. I wouldn’t be here without you, so I won’t say much more. Take this, and remember, this isn’t a place for you to stay long. Once I leave, you should leave immediately too.”

As Liu Baiwei spoke, he took out an item and placed it before Gu Xi.

Gu Xi took it and noticed it was a totem pole about the thickness of an average human arm.

On the totem were depictions of the powers of wind and fire.

There were also various beasts representing the powers of wind and fire.

When holding this Totem Pillar, Gu Xi could feel a strong, bloody aura emanating from it.

Clearly, this item had been strengthened with fresh blood, and even after all these years, its power hadn’t diminished.

[Baiwei Totem Pillar (Purple): A Totem Pillar crafted by Liu Baiwei himself. It’s a single-use item. Insert it into the ground to use it. Upon activation, you can choose the power of wind or fire, and once selected, it will unleash the effect of Liu Baiwei’s Full-Power Strike.]

[Note: Wind focuses on defense, fire focuses on attack, but they are not mutually exclusive.]

”This...”

Before Gu Xi could enquire more about the Baiwei Totem Pillar, Liu Baiwei had already disappeared before his eyes.

In his mind, Gu Xi would surely leave here soon.

So, staying longer would be meaningless to him. With the time spared, he’d better start early to find his goddess.

Thus, Liu Baiwei left directly and decisively.

Gu Xi wanted to call him back, only to find that Liu Baiwei had already vanished.

Helplessly shaking his head, Gu Xi scanned his surroundings, preparing to withdraw from the current game world.

Gu Xi wasn’t one to rashly challenge danger; he understood this was not a world he could navigate easily.

At most, just before leaving, he might secretly pluck some grass or grab a handful of dirt on the way back.

To see if the soil of this world was any stronger than that of other places.

But as Gu Xi turned to check his surroundings, he froze in place.
