Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 790: Chapter 788: Planting the First Tree

After the Purple Immortal left, Gu Xi spent some more time setting up the Alchemy Land in front of him.

Compared to the setup at the Burial Ground, it took Gu Xi a bit longer.

Because he not only had to set it up alone but also needed to hide some of it.

At the very least, it couldn’t be too conspicuous for everyone to notice.

Otherwise, if people kept coming over here, Gu Xi wouldn’t be able to do alchemy here, even though he told Purple Immortal to come over whenever he was free.

But Gu Xi understood that what Purple Immortal could accept for a long time was waiting near the Burial Ground for enemies to deliver themselves.

So Gu Xi had to carefully guard against everything here and hide certain things.

Fortunately, the one who moved the mountain just now was the Purple Immortal.

Plus, with the thunder and lightning earlier, the image of Purple Immortal facing lightning had been spread.

So no one would think that Gu Xi was setting up something here.

As long as Gu Xi’s actions weren’t too big, ordinary people wouldn’t notice this place.

After all, no one would think that a Ghost Immortal would leave something in a place where they fight against something like a Thunder Tribulation.

So Gu Xi seized the moment this time.

After spending a certain amount of time, Gu Xi set everything up.

Since there were forests representing the fire attribute on the surface, normal people couldn’t see that there were metal grounds and underground pastures buried beneath the forest.

The water attribute’s White Bone Ground and earth attribute’s river were also set up by Gu Xi with Eve’s help.

But these two places were also hidden underground by Gu Xi. From a distance, it looked just like a large hand forest appeared, with no other changes.

After setting up everything, Gu Xi took out a seed and handed it to the Level 25 Skeleton.

Li Yufang had been watching behind Gu Xi, and only when the seed was handed over did she cautiously ask, ”Is there no problem with this Grass Returning Pill?”

”No, I’ve simulated every possible scenario, and there won’t be any issues.

After planting it here, you can only come by once a year to deliver fresh flesh.

Even if this place is attacked, try not to come if possible.

This is a hidden Grass Returning Pill, a backup. You must not know about this place, do you understand what I’m saying?”

”Understood, at least I can’t show that I know about this place.”

Li Yufang glanced at the setup here.

She knew very well that everything here was painstakingly arranged by Gu Xi.

This time, Li Yufang felt that Gu Xi was a leader she could rely on.

And at this moment, Gu Xi didn’t know Li Yufang’s thoughts.

He was still paying attention to the Skeleton’s actions.

Planting the Grass Returning Pill was quite simple.

If not too particular, you just dig a hole in the ground, bury the seed, and that’s it.

After that, the person planting the Grass Returning Pill just sits on the seed and waits for it to sprout.

Of course, if you want the seed to grow quickly, you can bury some flesh underground as well.

After all, this kind of Grass Returning Pill grows by devouring flesh and souls.

This time, Gu Xi used the corpse of a Level 27 mountain deer as fertilizer.

This corpse was something Gu Xi bought in the real-world black market. Gu Xi originally thought of researching how to perform Undead Transformation on it to see if he could transform it into a more advanced Undead.

Now, after considering the situation, Gu Xi’s perspective on advanced Undead had changed.

No matter how he transformed it, it wasn’t as strong as defeating any enemy over Level 30 in this world and obtaining an Undead from them.

So the corpse in front of him was used as fertilizer by Gu Xi.

Seeing Gu Xi take out such a large mountain deer, Li Yufang was a bit surprised.

She hadn’t seen such a creature before.

But Li Yufang quickly thought, Gu Xi is a Lord of the Mansion, what kind of corpse hasn’t he seen?

This was definitely the same as pulling a piece of white paper from her pocket without even thinking twice.

Actually, Li Yufang didn’t know that Gu Xi hesitated for a long time before taking out the mountain deer.

In Yalidu City, there weren’t many things of such quality.

But Gu Xi pretended as if nothing had happened and had the Skeleton bury the mountain deer’s corpse underground.

As the Skeleton sat on the spot where the seed was buried, Gu Xi felt the ground begin to tremble slightly.

Then a not-so-large sapling emerged from the ground and began to grow rapidly.

Gu Xi just stood there watching. He found the sapling’s growth speed peculiar. Even though the underground was almost turning over, the sapling’s growth above ground was not fast at all.

From the start of the ground’s vibration until it stopped, it took a long time, yet the sapling that grew from the ground was only finger-width thick.

But as the Skeleton sat in front of this sapling, Gu Xi knew that the Grass Returning Pill was successfully planted.

The following matters were beyond Gu Xi’s control.

Gu Xi beckoned to the nearby Hellhounds, ”You stay here usually; if enemies enter this forest, kill those you can, try to divert those you can’t.

Do not let them approach this sapling.

If anyone tries to approach the sapling, notify the Zombie from before immediately.”

The Hellhounds were quite intelligent, nodding continuously.

Unfortunately, when Gu Xi performed the Double Death Transformation earlier, he didn’t convert a Hero or Boss, otherwise, placing a Boss here would eliminate the need for Gu Xi to keep giving these instructions.

While Gu Xi was arranging everything, Li Yufang was just listening on the side.

She had already decided privately that she must pay more attention here during regular times, instead of focusing only on the Grass Returning Pill near the Burial Ground, to prevent this place from being raided.

Even if she couldn’t visit often, she should keep an eye on it occasionally, and if possible, clear out some nearby enemies.

While Li Yufang was pondering this, Gu Xi had already arranged everything.

The only thing left unsettled was the portal to this area.

Gu Xi had a way to enter this area from Yalidu City.

But he didn’t do it.

In Gu Xi’s mind, he couldn’t leave a way to enter Yalidu City in this world.

Gu Xi wasn’t sure if some great beings from this world could use the portal he left to enter Yalidu City.

Although Yalidu City also had a Level 45 Great Monarch.

But in this world, there were quite a few Level 45 entities.

And after witnessing Purple Immortal’s combat capabilities, Gu Xi felt even more that the waters of this world ran deep.

He didn’t dare to gamble on anything.

Therefore, he’d rather clarify everything in advance.
