Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 754: Chapter 752: Graveyard Ambush

When Gu Xi and the others were sent over, it was because Gu Xi was the Death Witch Lord and Liu Baiwei was a Ghost.

The location they were dropped at was an eastern-style graveyard.

Looking around, there was a feeling that this place had been abandoned for many years.

Surrounding them were long grasses, various fruits rotting on the ground, and the offering plates in front of the graves were devoid of offerings.

Some of the offering plates were even knocked over.

A chilling ghostly aura swept over, making any normal person’s first instinct to flee.

But a slight smile appeared on Gu Xi’s face.

A graveyard.

He’s familiar with it.

Gu Xi thought for a moment, released the Evil Coffin, and leaped directly onto its lid, looking around.

At the same time, the Equipment Carrier for the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe appeared and stared in a particular direction.

Utilizing the power of the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe, Gu Xi immediately noticed a special fluctuation emanating from the center of the graveyard.

A type of Yin Qi stronger than normal negative energy emerged from there.

This Yin Qi had a solid, powerful, and pure feel.

Compared to the negative energy Gu Xi usually collected, this Yin Qi was obviously of much higher quality.

Gu Xi could tell that with his current status in Yalidu City, he probably couldn’t directly utilize this Yin Qi.

Even if he obtained some Yin Qi, he would have to dilute it with water to use it.

It seems it’s time to start researching how to utilize high-tier Yin Qi.

While Gu Xi was observing the graveyard’s situation, a gong sounded from deep within the graveyard.

”The Li Family is marrying off a daughter, the courtyard gates are wide open, guests from all directions, please enter!”

Then came the sound of suona horns, and a red bridal procession emerged from the area where the Yin Qi was strongest.

Seeing the appearance of this procession, Gu Xi involuntarily took a small step back.

In this procession, from the drum major at the front, to the palanquin bearers at the back, and even the laborers and household servants escorting at the end, each person had a subtle gray aura circling their feet.

It was obvious that everyone here possessed strength of level 20 and above.

Although they had a green aura over their heads indicating friendliness, Gu Xi hesitated.

If he went over now, it would probably be unequal.

While Gu Xi was hesitating, he suddenly felt the wind behind him become somewhat unusual.

The wind carried a sharpness, as if cutting through everything.

Gu Xi’s reaction was much quicker than his thoughts.

He instantly switched to the virtual status of Power of the Mind, and simultaneously drove the newly acquired Baiwei Totem Pillar into the ground.

As the Baiwei Totem Pillar embedded into the ground, a blue aura representing the wind appeared around Gu Xi.

Then Gu Xi saw two players standing about thirty meters away from him.

They were wearing cloth armor, and the cloaks on their backs flapped like wings, allowing them to fly in mid-air.

In their hands, each one held a longsword in one hand, and a fan-like off-hand item in the other.

However, they both looked surprised, seemingly not understanding how Gu Xi spotted them at the first moment.

Seeing these two players, Gu Xi immediately knew what kind of situation he had encountered.

He didn’t even think twice, immediately casting an immunity effect on himself.

Wind Element Immunity.

Then Gu Xi looked at the bridal procession holding the ceremony and tapped heavily on the coffin with the Illusion Magic Wand.

”Where did these demons and outsiders come from, daring to disrupt the Li Family’s wedding celebrations.”

These two players were sent specifically to kill Gu Xi.

The information they received suggested that Gu Xi’s power was only at level 8, which they believed would be easy to handle solo.

They brought two people just to be safe.

But before they could even approach, Gu Xi noticed their presence and immediately planted the totem pole.

Gu Xi himself wasn’t aware of the totem pole’s power, but as professional players from Qianfang City, they recognized the aura the totem emitted.

This was the Wind Shield.

A Wind Shield cast by a level 29 Wind Element Shaman at full strength.

For fifteen minutes, unless your power exceeds level 30,

you shouldn’t even think about approaching Gu Xi.

They cursed under their breath, blaming Liu Baiwei for meddling.

It would have been better without giving this totem pole.

They also blamed Gu Xi, who, despite only being at level 8, didn’t know to save such a good item for later use.

Why use it without properly assessing the situation first?

Yet they weren’t truly afraid.

In their view, since stealth failed, a frontal attack would suffice.

Even as players over level 20, could they not defeat an 8-level nobody?

Gu Xi, not wanting to waste time, immediately made his move after shouting.

Though the enemies were over level 20, Gu Xi didn’t fear them, preferring a head-on confrontation.

”Death Incarnation!”

This time, the Death Incarnation that emerged was both Bone Dragon and Titan.

As soon as the Death Incarnation - Bone Dragon appeared, it immediately unleashed a spray at the two enemies’ location.

Death Dragon Breath.

The two players didn’t expect Gu Xi to not only not flee upon discovering them but also dared to attack.

They swung their longswords in Gu Xi’s direction, simultaneously fanning at the spot where their swords slashed with their left-hand fans.

Wind whipped the sword Qi towards Gu Xi.

Yet this sword Qi was no match for the Baiwei Totem Pillar left by Liu Baiwei, and it was dispersed by a strong wind before even nearing Gu Xi.

At that moment, Gu Xi’s shout also caught the attention of the Li Family holding the bridal procession.

Though they were mere rural folk, in this world, they still possessed strength over level 20.

Upon hearing the shout, they all turned towards Gu Xi’s direction.

At this point, Gu Xi’s Death Lord skill took effect.

In the eyes of the Li Family members, Gu Xi was their ally, and the two players were the intruders.

One of the drum majors put down his suona horn, puzzled, and asked.

”What did he say just now, what are those two guys doing?”

”I think I caught a bit, they said those two guys are here to ruin the Li Family’s wedding.”

”Is that so? That won’t do, our Li Family’s young lady is finally getting married and can’t have it ruined like this.”

”Dare to ruin our Li Family’s wedding? That’s suicide,

kill the two of them!”

In an instant, everyone in the bridal procession became enraged, raising any weapons they could grab, from shoulder poles, benches, iron shovels, dung spoons, to rakes, and charged at the two players.

The two players didn’t understand how they offended these wild ghosts, but they were immediately surrounded and beaten mercilessly.
