Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 778: Chapter 776: Grass Returning Pill

After leaving the alchemy room with the seed and formula of the Grass Returning Pill, Gu Xi turned to Li Yufang and said.

”Find me a quiet place, I need to think about how to handle the Grass Returning Pill.”

”Master, please get on the sedan chair. I will guard outside and won’t let anyone disturb you.”

Gu Xi gave Li Yufang a glance and directly entered the sedan chair.

Li Yufang moved the sedan chair to a safe spot and stood guard in front of it.

Upon entering the sedan chair, Gu Xi did not return to Yalidu City but instead used the special mirror to contact Luna and Eve.

Gu Xi couldn’t analyze the formula alone; a group was necessary to handle it.

The main effort was by Eve, while Luna played a coordinating role.

After sending a copy of the seed into the Mysterious Mirror Image Space, Gu Xi began reading the formula himself.

The special mirror floated above the formula, allowing Eve behind it to clearly see the contents.

Since it was a targeted formula, it didn’t contain many technical terms.

Rather, it had detailed records.

What surprised Gu Xi the most was that to persuade the Bitter Alchemist to buy this set of formulas at that time, it even contained methods for upgrading the Grass Returning Pill.

The initial stage Grass Returning Pill was of Blue Quality, planting trees for ten years, then flowering for three years, fruiting for three years, and maturing in another three years.

Calculating from the start of planting, it would take a full twenty years to consume the first Grass Returning Pill.

Beyond the efforts in planting, the flowering, fruiting, and maturing processes would require much investment, and eventually, the Grass Returning Pill produced could only be consumed by the Tree Planter, causing headaches for everyone.

And after planting the tree, the Tree Planter would be unable to leave, unless the Grass Returning Pill grew to the type that flowers in three thousand years; otherwise, they would never be able to leave the planting site.

After the first round of Grass Returning Pill is formed, it would flower in ten years, fruit in ten years, and mature in ten years, producing a total of three Blue Quality Grass Returning Pills.

This quality of Grass Returning Pill is considered effective.

Gu Xi speculated that Li Yufang only needed this quality of Grass Returning Pill to complete her promotion.

And if one pill isn’t enough, three should suffice.

Subsequently, this kind of ten-year flowering Grass Returning Pill would produce five rounds.

After five rounds, the Grass Returning Pill tree would reach its limit.

The Tree Planter either needs various materials to upgrade the tree, or they just guard a tree that can no longer produce Grass Returning Pills forever; no other possibility exists.

As for the upgrade path, it doesn’t seem very difficult.

However, among the materials for upgrading, one thing surprised Gu Xi.

’A Ghost Bride!’

Seeing the information before him, Gu Xi was stunned.

He never thought that upgrading the Grass Returning Pill tree would require sacrificing various living beings, such as Ghost Brides, living people, Great Demons. Although there are no limitations in terms of quality and level, the profession and quantity are rigidly fixed.

After the upgrade, the kind of Purple Quality Grass Returning Pill refined by Alchemist Qing would be, the first round flowering in thirty years, fruiting in thirty years, and maturing in thirty years, producing one Grass Returning Pill.

It’s still consumed by the Tree Planter to enhance their strength.

Next are ten rounds of ordinary Grass Returning Pill, flowering in sixty years, fruiting in sixty years, maturing in sixty years, and in one hundred and eighty years, producing twelve Grass Returning Pills.

After that, there is one more opportunity for an upgrade.

However, the materials needed for sacrifice in this upgrade would be even higher; the Ghost Bride is still required but needs to meet specific time and level, living people must be of Loose Immortal Level, and the mysterious ones must conform to rules.

It can be said that every material to be sacrificed needs many years of selection and processing.

However, one good point is that from the upgrade of this tree to Purple Quality, preparations for new upgrade sacrifices can begin.

As for rising one level above Purple, the records are not very clear.

The only certainty is that after rising another level, the first round of Orange Quality Grass Returning Pill takes three hundred years to flower, fruit, and mature.

Again, consumed by the Tree Planter, consuming it boosts strength directly to Level 40.

The rest is not mentioned anymore.

Gu Xi guessed that what Alchemist Qing referred to as the three-thousand-year flowering is probably not this current level.

It should be a higher-level tier.

It seems that the masters who researched the Grass Returning Pill must be among the top-notch in this world, possibly disseminating the Grass Returning Pill formula to break their own limitations and take a further step forward.

However, he hasn’t reached this step yet.

After looking over the general situation of the Grass Returning Pill, Gu Xi began to examine the planting situation of the Grass Returning Pill tree.

Since Li Yufang only needs three Blue Quality Grass Returning Pills.

Which means roughly fifty years would settle everything, so the tree planting site doesn’t matter much.

What Gu Xi needs to consider is who would plant this Grass Returning Pill tree.

And once the tree is planted, the Tree Planter can’t leave.

This point requires Gu Xi’s consideration. If planting here, Gu Xi would need to deploy the two Level 25-plus Undead he controls.

After all, in this world, without some strength, one might be wiped out instantly.

But if planting isn’t required here, the situation would be different, and Gu Xi can consider other methods, such as planting the tree in Yalidu City.

In Yalidu City, there is a Level 45 Great Monarch, which indicates that Yalidu City shares similar limitations with this world, having at least a Level 45 cap.

Any tree that can be planted in this world should also be plantable in Yalidu City.

Furthermore, Gu Xi has four tree seeds; he can plant in four places, two in this world, one in Yalidu City, and another in some ordinary world if needed.

If only one tree could grow, it would already be enough for Li Yufang.

Let alone there are four trees available.

With this thought, Gu Xi turned back to the formula of the Grass Returning Pill again.

At this time, Gu Xi especially focused on how to plant this tree.

The Grass Returning Pill tree isn’t plantable just because there are tree seeds.

To plant the Grass Returning Pill tree, the Five Elements conditions must be satisfied.

And among these Five Elements conditions, it can be acquired or naturally existing.

If all five innate conditions are met, it is naturally the best.

If not, at least one condition should be met.

A fully acquired setup also works for planting, but there are detailed explanations that a completely acquired Five Elements environment can only result in a Blue Quality tree, without the ability to upgrade to Purple Quality.
