Undead Mage from a Cell

After understanding what was going on, Gu Xi finally felt relieved.

This time coming to the reality world, he might have taken advantage of some people.

However, Gu Xi doesn’t owe anyone anything.

Instead, because of his choice, he cut the causal connection with beings like the Flame Lord.

Now Gu Xi should worry about how long he can stay in the reality world and whether there’s any possibility of being sent back.

If not, then Gu Xi wouldn’t be in such a rush to leave.

Staying and learning more about the reality world is what Gu Xi should be doing.

Seeing Gu Xi had made up his mind, Liu Baiwei also smiled.

”Do you know what the problem is?”

”I know, as long as you’re alive, nothing else matters. It doesn’t matter which city you’re in, with the current advanced technology, even wanting to go back shouldn’t be difficult, no need to worry too much.”

Gu Xi smiled and said, ”Let’s talk about something else; you mentioned something about ’extensive knowledge,’ what’s that about?”

”Ah, I nearly forgot you were asking. Extensive knowledge means that within your area of specialization, you can’t have any weaknesses.

Back then, my Wind Element was exceptionally strong, but the other three elements weren’t strong enough; Fire Element barely matched the level, and Earth Element was far behind.

So when I was upgrading from Level 29 to Level 30, there was a problem when the four major elements transformed into Spirit Element.

Not only was it unsuccessful, but I also sacrificed my lifespan.

Now you need to work hard on both specialization and extensive knowledge.

I see you’re suppressing your level, right?”

Gu Xi was taken aback but eventually nodded.

”You’re suppressing your level, so that means your teachers taught you well.

For students like you, level isn’t actually the most important thing; you could all reach Level 10 before graduating, what’s so difficult about that?

What you need to do now during your school years is build a solid foundation.

Only then will the road ahead be smoother.”

Liu Baiwei rambled on, ”As for what happens after reaching Level 30, I’m not too sure.

But my father told me that if I pass the Level 30 threshold, he would help me find suitable materials to upgrade a piece of Purple Armor to Orange Armor.

I think Orange Armor might be the focus after Level 30.

This is something you can discuss with your teachers; I’m sure they know a bit more. When the time comes, you can ask your teachers.

Don’t be afraid to ask about things in school; you must realize that the teachers you meet there might be the highest-ranking people you ever encounter.

I missed such opportunities before and lost out on many things; don’t miss yours.”

Gu Xi thought to himself, you are currently the highest level I’ve encountered.

Level 29, I’ve only heard of it, never seen it.

Nonetheless, Gu Xi refrained from saying that and quickly changed topic, asking about things he didn’t understand.

Although Liu Baiwei took a different path than Gu Xi,

he had seen a lot more than Gu Xi had learned.

The questions Gu Xi asked weren’t too challenging for him, even if he hadn’t studied them, he could explain a thing or two.

Especially after Gu Xi heard that Liu Baiwei had built a city and cultivated unique specialty products, his interest grew even stronger.

Gu Xi asked more questions regarding this subject.

”If you want to talk about building cities, then there’s a lot to discuss. After reaching Level 20, if you don’t have certain supplies, relying only on killing enemies for experience, it’ll take hundreds of years just to level up once.

Therefore, after Level 20, regardless of the initial path, everyone tries to build one or two cities to support themselves.

You Undead Mages have it easier; regular Undead consume less and exist in large numbers.

You can occupy any city and settle down.

Unlike us, oftentimes we have to start from scratch to build a city.

You asked about city building; I have quite a bit of experience.

First, you must consider the location when building a city.

Generally, we shouldn’t choose large worlds to build cities.

Large worlds are where many people have their eyes set.

We usually occupy a miniature game world.

This way, you can easily handle the resistance forces in the game world.

Seize the game’s world core.

Then place your city at the core point of the game world; it will be solidly established as a city.

Doing so definitely has its advantages.

Since you’ve cleared out this miniature world, there are no enemies within this world, allowing you to develop your city.

But usually, miniature worlds provide limited support to cities, only enough to upgrade to a Level 10 city.

If you want to upgrade beyond Level 10, you’ll need to start with a small world.

Cities above Level 20 appear in medium-sized worlds.

However, in doing so, you’ll face various attacks when building a city, which will slow down the city-building process.

As for large-sized worlds, many players have their eyes on them.

Trying to build a city and stay here without reaching Level 30 or above might be challenging.

Enough about that; you were asking about specialty products earlier, right?

For ordinary players like us, who don’t plan to establish a family but want cities to support us, specialties become the most crucial part.

The specialties referred to here aren’t things like equipment.

They’re not various resource rankings either.

Those things every player has, and they aren’t very valuable.

The specialties you want usually refer to unique plants, crops, or animals.

At least something strong to enhance the abilities of your subordinates.

Such specialties are valuable.

My previous city was like this; I spent over a hundred years researching two decent specialty products.

One is the Earth Lotus, whose Lotus Seed can quickly enhance the Power of Earth Element.

This thing helped me greatly while I was alive.

The other is Wind-Resistant Grass, which can capture the Spirituality in the wind and is used for trading with others for other goods.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure what my city has become now.

In the future, if you have your own city, it will be the same.

Specialties should come in pairs: one for personal use, the other for external trade.

Thus, the city can have a future.

There are many ways to produce specialty products; the easiest is to obtain them from other game worlds.

But this way, other players can obtain them, making it hard to achieve uniqueness.

There’s also self-research, but you need research capabilities.

Though research may be challenging, once you succeed, the benefits are tremendous.

So how you choose is up to you.

As an Undead Mage, you might first try the popular specialty ideas in the market, like...”
