Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 738: Chapter 736: This Is... the Real World?

Seeing Gu Xi remain silent, the player asked worriedly.

”Are you okay? Do you want me to help you contact your teacher?”

”No, no need.”

Gu Xi hurriedly stopped him. He wasn’t a university student from Yin City; there was no way he could let someone contact them carelessly.

But seeing the player’s confused expression, Gu Xi quickly explained, ”I skipped class, and the teleportation gate had a problem, sending me here. By the way, brother, can you tell me what city this is? I plan to look around and leave right after.”

”Skipping class, huh, hahaha, I knew you were up to no good, using this as a chance to shop during a trial.

I know what you call this, right, special forces procurement.

You asked the right person. This is called Qianfang City, a third-level city under White Stone Plateau City.

But you’re in the wrong place; we mainly focus on wind and earth elemental magic. It doesn’t conflict much with the Undead Mages, but there’s nothing here suitable for you.

If you want to buy good things, you can use our teleportation gate to go directly to White Stone Plateau City, where cross-star realm trains connect to other big cities.

The nearest Undead-oriented city to White Stone Plateau City should be Netherworld City. Taking a cross-star realm train will take about two days.”

While the person spoke, Gu Xi finally believed he had arrived in the real world.

Although he wasn’t quite sure what was going on, Gu Xi felt he couldn’t stay in the real world for long.

He needed to set an anchor point in the real world as soon as possible.

To prepare for later.

Taking a two-day train to Netherworld City wasn’t the best choice.

So Gu Xi decisively shook his head.

”Brother, I won’t go to Netherworld City. I’m not just here for Undead materials. I’m actually a lord, wanting to buy some architectural design plans that aren’t usually seen.”

”Ha, no wonder you’d skip class. People who like the Undead style really like it, and those who don’t really aren’t used to it.

I understand. Later, go to the teleportation gate and tell them you want to go to High Mountain City. There’s an architect guild there selling and trading architectural design plans.”

Hearing this, Gu Xi’s eyes lit up, and he immediately thanked him.

Just as Gu Xi was about to leave, the player called him back.

”When you’re free, soak in the Sword Washing Pool to get rid of the medicine smell on you.

I really can’t understand you kids these days. What’s the rush below Level 10? Using medicine just to level up, aren’t you afraid of cutting off your path?

I’m telling you, you haven’t used much medicine yet, so the Sword Washing Pool can still wash those problems away. But if you use a lot, when you hit Level 20, you’ll regret it.

Lad, take it from someone who’s been there, enjoy life at the academy. There’s no hurry to hit Level 10 and rush to graduate since you have a long life ahead.”

Listening to the player’s advice, Gu Xi seriously expressed his gratitude.

Then he turned to leave.

By now, he believed this was Bailian City, even the real world that Ancestor City players had always yearned for.

The rules here are vastly different from those thrown deep into the game in Ancestor City.

After secretly asking some passersby, Gu Xi didn’t go to the teleportation gate or the Sword Washing Pool as the player uncle suggested but found an unremarkable bookstore to look through various textbooks.

Through reading and comparison, Gu Xi discovered it was exactly as learned at the Nether Bone Wind Academy.

When Ancestor City was dragged into the depths of the game, many things were indeed missing.

No wonder the big shots over Level 20 in Ancestor City were always thinking about building a bridge to pull Ancestor City out of the abyss back to reality.

In this real world, players’ upper limit is no longer Level 30, nor the Level 45 cap for the Great Monarch in Yalidov City’s Mirror Image Dungeon Space, but Level 60.

All players in the real world can reach Level 10 through school education.

Unlike Bailian City, where graduation might just coincide with finishing a career.

As for the Level 20 threshold, a chasm for Bailian City players, most in the real world can easily surpass it.

Only at Level 30 does the power demarcation line for real-world players occur.

This is similar to the gap between those above Level 10 and those below in Bailian City.

The experiences Gu Xi had encountered were not considered significant in the real world.

Even a dungeon like Westminster Cathedral might just be a method for school teachers in the real world to train players.

Most importantly, in the real world, players in the game can die at least three times in their lifetime without any impact on themselves.

This was unheard of for Gu Xi.

In their world, unless there were special protections or methods, a player dying in-game was truly dead.

Even the Undead Mage was the same; if they died in the game, the only path left was to become a Witch Demon.

Yet the real world allowed players to resurrect at least three times in their lifetime, with even more opportunities using other means.

This gave players the courage to fight desperately.

In this situation, Gu Xi couldn’t help but think of the Titan Slayer in his hand.

This weapon seemed like a perfect tool for desperate situations in the real world.

Using one death to take down a powerful Titan.

It seemed like a very worthwhile trade.

Besides this, the real world also had many things outside Gu Xi’s knowledge.

For instance, in the real world, Orange Armor was no longer a rare item. Gu Xi had previously heard from the Fierce Weasel about the existence of technology to upgrade Purple Armor to Orange Armor.

Generally, around Level 30, players start upgrading one of their most frequently used purple items to orange.

This upgrade, barring special circumstances, is almost guaranteed to succeed. The main difference might be in the functions of the Orange Armor.

Most players by Level 45 will have one Orange Armor as a baseline.

When they hit Level 50, they can begin to aim for an even higher existence, Red Equipment.

Of course, compared to Orange Armor, Red Equipment has significantly higher quality, and obtaining it is even more difficult.

From the textbooks Gu Xi read, there are only 1,037 recorded Red Equipment items.

The books only record their names and holders, not their effects or functions.

This alone showed how rare Red Armor was.
