Undead Mage from a Cell

Gu Xi is someone who keeps his word.

After understanding the situation, Gu Xi withdrew from the East Willow Cemetery.

Seeing Gu Xi come out so quickly, the old man outside was a bit surprised.

”What’s the situation?

Is Liu Baiwei’s ghost gone?”

Gu Xi shook his head, ”No, I met Liu Baiwei and talked to him about the situation here.

The issue was resolved in the best possible way, not the blood sacrifice or outrage I imagined, but some small matters that had awakened Liu Baiwei.”

The old man rolled his eyes upon hearing this.

Do you even know what you’re talking about?

A blood sacrifice, do you know what kind of trouble it would bring if the corpses in the East Willow Cemetery were used in a blood sacrifice?

That’s not something to joke about.

”Don’t speak recklessly, so what exactly is going on in here?”

The old man hurriedly stopped Gu Xi from speaking carelessly.

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi briefly explained Liu Baiwei’s sentimental situation.

Apparently, Liu Baiwei’s goddess might have encountered trouble, and Liu Baiwei wanted to protect her.

The old man was speechless for a moment.

In the old man’s heart, Liu Baiwei was simply being foolish.

A man who lived for over a thousand years, dead for hundreds, yet crawled out of his coffin for a woman.

No wonder he had no direct descendants.

Turns out he spent his life being a sycophant.

However, this kind of sycophant is the easiest to deal with; the issue is simple. Just confirm if Liu Baiwei’s goddess is alive or dead.

If she is dead, provide a path for Liu Baiwei, whether he wants to go into the game or be buried with the goddess, as long as the current issue is resolved, it’s negotiable.

”I will handle this matter.”

Facing the present issue, the old man stepped forward proudly.

This matter concerns East Willow Cemetery, so he must handle it.

Besides, Gu Xi is just an outsider, with such weak strength, clearly not even graduated from school, what could he accomplish?

”Alright then, you go back in and keep an eye on Liu Baiwei, don’t let him cause any trouble. Once this matter is resolved, your task will be considered complete.”

Gu Xi smiled and nodded upon hearing this.

That’s exactly what he wanted to hear from the old man.

”Alright, I’ll go in and calm things down. By the way, how long will this take to resolve?”

”Give me two days, I’m not sure exactly how long it will take, but surely a result can be achieved in two days, given how serious this current issue is.”

Returning to East Willow Cemetery, Gu Xi saw Liu Baiwei smiling at him.

”Did you hear everything just now?”

”Of course, I heard it all.”

Liu Baiwei affirmed, as East Willow Cemetery is not some forbidden ground, and there’s no ban on ghosts traveling, with such a major issue outside, Liu Baiwei, with his power, could sense some of it.

”Thank you very much this time, no matter why you came, your appearance has helped me greatly, these few items are of no use to me, please take them.”

As he spoke, Liu Baiwei pushed a few items towards Gu Xi.

Gu Xi accepted them and soon some information appeared before him.

[You have received Yinfeng Robe (Purple)]

[You received Thousand Thunder Peach Wood Sword (Purple)]

[You received Ghost Copper Curse Bell (Purple)]

Gu Xi widened his eyes and looked at Liu Baiwei.

”These are items left by the two undead mages who came last time. I’ve kept the more useful ones, and what’s left is of no use to me, you can take them without hesitation.”

Gu Xi never thought that coming here for a task, he would gain such an advantage.

He picked up the Yinfeng Robe on top, realizing it looked like a thick yellow robe, but when held, it was lighter than a spider web.

As he unfurled the robe, Gu Xi could even feel the wind lifting it slightly.

As the robe floated upward, Gu Xi noticed numerous ghost faces embroidered with golden and silver threads beneath the yellow fabric.

[Yinfeng Robe (Purple, Magic Robe)]

[Defense: 73]

[Equip effect: Intelligence +5, Perception +5]

[Equipment Requirements: Intelligence 7, Perception 7, Charm 7]

[Special 1: Wind Shield Protection, when worn, a layer of wind shield constantly encircles the wearer, defending against various ranged and melee attacks.]

[Special Effect 1: Equipping this item will continuously drain the wearer’s mana, with a consumption rate of 1 point per second.]

[Special 2: Ten Thousand Ghosts Concealment, allows partial integration of subordinate ghost soldiers into the robe, equivalent to the effect of a Soul-Calling Banner or Ten Thousand Ghosts Banner, effectively having a personal army for an undead mage.]

[Special Effect 2: After activating the Ten Thousand Ghosts Concealment once, if any of the undead corpses within the Yinfeng Robe fall in battle, the player will receive damage, deducting 1 to 15 points of life.]

[Special 3: Yin Qi Curse Breath, absorbs Yin Qi and curse power from the outside, releasing them externally to strengthen all undead nearby.]

[Special Effect 3: Upon activating Yin Qi Curse Breath, a random curse will be automatically acquired daily, with random duration and effects.]

[Description: As an undead mage, not everyone can carry an undead corps around, hence a robe that can house and enhance undead troops was created.]

Looking at the description of the Yinfeng Robe in front of him, Gu Xi’s eyes brightened.

Not bad at all.

Just this Yinfeng Robe was quite a decent piece of equipment for Gu Xi.

Didn’t see Gu Xi still wearing a blue quality top?

Moreover, the negative effects of this Yinfeng Robe aren’t strong; if worn, it wouldn’t cause Gu Xi much trouble.

However, at this moment, Gu Xi became somewhat hesitant.

The Wind Shield is fine, but the two effects that follow hold little significance for him.

Gu Xi has Death City, so he can deploy troops anytime.

Unlike other undead mages, he needn’t worry about managing his undead corps.

As for enhancing the undead with Yin Qi and curses?

No amount of enhancement can match the influence of Death City on the undead corps.

After thinking it over, Gu Xi decided to put down the Yinfeng Robe he held.

He’s considering that in the real world, perhaps there’s an expert who can modify purple gear, and if so, he could inquire about altering the properties of this purple gear.

After storing away the Yinfeng Robe, Gu Xi picked up the Thousand Thunder Peach Wood Sword placed aside.

Upon grasping the sword, Gu Xi immediately felt a scorching aura emanating from it, and even heard a bird’s chirp from the tip of the peach wood sword.
