The Positioning Firestone, a type of Furnace Stone, is much more effective than the one Gu Xi obtained in Victoria City.

This thing is essentially a transit point that can be used for cross-game travel.

It can bypass the game system, allowing players to return to a game as if returning home.

This would be considered a valuable item over in Bailian City.

But in the real world, this item is like a key, available everywhere for purchase.

The price is not too expensive either.

Almost every player has one or two such Furnace Stones in their possession.

Every day after work, they can use the Furnace Stone to return to their own little house in the game world, living a life unimaginable to ordinary people.

Some even occupy a small game world by themselves.

By day they are ordinary office workers, at night they can rule the game world.

It can be said that players in the real world play with far more expenditure than Gu Xi and his peers.

The reason Gu Xi set his sights on the Positioning Firestone is naturally to leave an anchor point in the real world.

After figuring out how he crossed the bridge constructed by the World Genesis into the real world this time, Gu Xi will definitely return here.

After all, the various resources in the real world far exceed those in Bailian City.

Gu Xi doesn’t want to struggle desperately to reach Level 10 in Bailian City, only to find he hasn’t even secured a diploma in the real world.

While calculating what he can buy with his gains this time, Gu Xi headed out of the city.

Along the way, Gu Xi saw many doors installed with Positioning Firestones.

Influenced by the Positioning Firestones, the styles of these doors also changed, and the longer the time, the more pronounced the influence.

Some places, because of multiple conflicting door styles, make entire streets chaotic.

This made Gu Xi quite happy as he unknowingly arrived at the cemetery outside the city.

This cemetery is called East Willow Cemetery.

Buried here are all players who died of natural causes.

Due to the special reasons of players, each cemetery has its corresponding burial standard.

The East Willow Cemetery before him had only 150 players buried, each of whom was thoroughly investigated during their lifetime, and none of the players buried here had a level exceeding 30.

After their deaths, they were all cremated, and their ashes were placed in lead boxes filled with mercury. After burial underground, large amounts of copper liquid would also be poured in.

Even on the ground, some magic arrays would be carved, primarily focusing on strengthening the seal.

This kind of arrangement cannot be blamed on the cemetery.

It is because the situation with players is too unique.

Aside from those who died in the game, where even their bodies can’t be found.

Players who die in the real world have bodies that are the best materials for the Undead Mage.

Not to mention the issue of their levels, the players in the real world can be resurrected in various ways, which also imbues them with many death traits.

While alive due to their level and other reasons, they might not exhibit any unusual reactions.

But if they truly die in the real world, the accumulated death traits on them will all erupt.

Without some special treatment, nine out of ten players will experience corpse transformation.

To ensure they do not transform into uncontrollable Undead after death.

Most players will choose to sign a consent form for various treatments before burial.

However, even with this treatment, this type of cemetery cannot guarantee complete safety.

After all, with so many players buried here, each has died an unknown number of times, and this kind of death qi, when accumulated, inevitably causes some mutations.

Therefore, most cemeteries occasionally experience ghost incidents.

However, most incidents can be handled by the cemetery’s managers themselves.

Only this time, they encountered a troublesome ghost.

They not only failed to suppress the ghost but also caused a major incident, where two Undead Mages nearly died here, and even the gear of those two Undead Mages was left behind.

Although it’s unknown whether this ghost has come into contact with the Undead Mage’s equipment, the managers have to be cautious.

When Gu Xi arrived at East Willow Cemetery, the managers quickly came up to him, intercepting Gu Xi before he had a chance to observe his surroundings.

”Hello, may I ask if you are the Breath of the Dead who just took on the task?”

”Yes, hello, may I ask who you are?”

Gu Xi sized up the rather gaunt old man in front of him.

He found the old man’s aura pure, with slight undulations under his feet on the ground he stepped on.

It was clearly a domain-like transformation.

Just with this alone, Gu Xi could determine that his power probably exceeded Level 20.

Such strength over in Bailian City would definitely make one a City Lord-level figure.

But in the real world, he could only secure a job as a guard in a cemetery.

Moreover, judging by the aura on him, he did not follow the undead path, nor the holy light path, but leaned towards the earth element direction.

This profession was fundamentally not aligned.

This shows that the competition in the real world is too fierce.

The old man did not know that Gu Xi was analyzing him, and continued explaining the cause of the ghost incident to Gu Xi.

”Since the ghost appeared, we’ve investigated, and the one who turned into the ghost this time is Liu Baiwei, a regular player from Qianfang City, a Wind Element Shaman. Leveled at 29 when he died during an attempt to reach Level 30 as his lifespan expired at the age of 1174.

Since he left no direct descendants, he was buried in our East Willow Cemetery.

He had been buried before I came, and I’ve been here for over five hundred years with no incidents, making it relatively easy to manage the corpse.

But this time, for an unknown reason.

He directly became a ghost and was uncontrollable.

Even when Undead Mages and Priests came, they could not handle it.

Due to the extended time and communication barriers, the situation escalated.

The most critical issue is that his death qi has now spread, and if it continues, other corpses buried in my East Willow Cemetery will also be affected, turning into ghosts and climbing out of their graves.”

The old man spoke while handing various documents over to Gu Xi.

Gu Xi glanced through Liu Baiwei’s information.

He found many incomplete areas within this information.

So Gu Xi pointed to these areas and asked.

”What’s going on here, why are there no records from this period?”

”There’s no way, after all, these events happened over a thousand years ago, and players always have times when they enter the game on secret lines, no one can guarantee keeping a complete record of every player’s growth trajectory.”
