Chapter 915: Chapter 159: Vile

Miss Song Ying, who had just returned to the room, immediately went to the back of a screen in the room.

She took off her outer and upper garments, then bent over, her hands reaching behind to get the hook of her underwear… but it seemed that she had been resting too well these days in the hospital; Song Ying felt she might have gained some weight.

The moment the hook was undone, the jade rabbits on her chest bounced a bit, and Song Ying breathed a sigh of relief. She touched the marks on her body caused by the tight underwear, frowning slightly in distress.

This is really fat enough to have to change the underwear at home… this size.

Song Ying shook her head; she was waiting for the bathtub to fill, which would take a while.

So she simply put on a bathrobe, poured a glass of water, walked to the front of the table, and then opened her laptop.

Song Ying sat down while sipping water, watching the stock market situation for various industries of the Song Family.

Suddenly, Song Ying choked on herself.

She coughed a few times, then quickly started tapping her fingers on the keyboard… the interface on the laptop screen switched quickly.

A moment later, Song Ying rubbed her eyes foolishly, then instinctively reached out and tapped her laptop in disbelief.

“Oh my… is this a virus? All our stocks hit the upper limit?? Meow??”

At this moment, Song Ying’s phone rang – it was a call from the manager of a foreign branch of the Song Dynasty Group.

“Miss Ying! Oh my god! We struck oil!! Can you believe it? It’s really oil!!”

“What??” Song Ying’s small mouth gaped slightly.

At this time, another international call came in, also from another high-ranking manager in the Song Dynasty Group, a female, “Miss Ying, we found gold deposits in a stone mine in Cuba! Oh my god!!”

“What???” Song Ying’s small mouth opened, blinking her eyes.

But at that moment, another call frantically came in, and Song Ying instinctively switched over, “You… you must have some good news, right?”

“Miss Ying, you’ve already heard?” a surprised voice came through from the other side.

“…Tell me.” Song Ying’s eyelids twitched a few times; indeed, it really seemed like a ghostly day today.

“The team we sponsor had their opponents disqualified due to doping use, and they automatically advanced!”

“Huh??” Song Ying dumbly replied, finally recalling that it was the manager of a football team sponsored by the Song Family… but deep down, she still found it somewhat unbelievable, even pinching her own cheek.

“Am I using up all the luck I’ve saved over half a lifetime or something… how are all the good things coming at once??”

…

It wasn’t only Song Tianyou who was surprised, but also Uncle Wu who was accompanying him here.

Mr. Blind suddenly said, “Old Master Song, could I ask Mr. Wu to wait outside?”

Mr. Blind’s intention was clear… he was going to discuss matters only Song Tianyou and Luo Qiu could know.

Without waiting for Song Tianyou to speak, Uncle Wu nodded and left, closing the door of the spirit hall, standing guard there to prevent anyone from entering.

Song Tianyou frowned, “Sir, what do you mean by saying this? You say Luo Qiu is a Supreme Noble?”

He recalled the words Mr. Blind had told him that night… regarding the Song Family’s prosperous fate. The key to it was Luo Qiu, who had recognized his ancestors and returned to the family not long ago.

“At least of the same rank, perhaps even…” Mr. Blind paused and pondered for a moment, suddenly saying, “Old Master Song, do you know the saying ‘Life and death are determined by fate, wealth is in the heavens’?”

“Old saying,” Song Tianyou nodded.

Mr. Blind said, “I was born without sight. But Heaven took my eyes and gave me something in return; I can see fate. I can see your fate, Young Master Song’s fate, and Miss Song Ying’s fate, but I cannot see the fate of Young Master Luo Qiu.”

Fate, destiny, it’s something intangible, but Mr. Blind said it so, and Old Master Song did not doubt it, only frowned and asked, “Why can’t it be seen?”

Mr. Blind slowly said, “The Taoist teachings regarding fate are very mysterious, but in fact, fate can still be traced. Some are born into wealthy families, with deep blessings, naturally carefree, favored by Heaven and Earth. Some are poor, ill-fated, unlucky for life, abandoned by Heaven and Earth, and this too can be seen… Most of them can be seen. Taoist teachings also say there are people who jump out of the Three Realms, not in the five elements; their fate cannot be seen because it is outside the normal operation of Heaven and Earth. Their fate is a variable, which can also be called freedom, or as Taoists say, carefree.”

“Then Luo Qiu…” Song Tianyou looked at Luo Qiu in amazement.

Just as Luo Qiu appeared composed, without anxiety or unease; his calm demeanor made Song Tianyou somewhat self-conscious.

“There is another kind of fate that cannot be seen.”

Mr. Blind suddenly said coldly, “Such a fate is entirely bound to the great trend of Heaven and Earth. As Heaven changes, so does fate; and as fate changes, so does Heaven. However, if there is such a fate, it can already be called that of a Saint, and Young Master Luo Qiu… sorry, Old Master Song, I cannot determine which it is. Only one thing I can affirm, that Young Master Luo Qiu is indeed a Supreme Noble, otherwise, simply offering respects to his ancestors wouldn’t have made the Song Family’s fortune so prosperous. His respect equals making the great trends of Heaven and Earth also respect him. Simply put, the Song Family is favored by Heaven.”

Listening to this, Song Tianyou was so shocked that he couldn’t speak for a long time, yet Luo Qiu frowned after hearing that.

He hadn’t thought much about it; paying respects to ancestors comes naturally, probably an instinct— As for saying his offering respects to the Song Family ancestors would make the Song Family’s fortune prosperous, Luo Qiu didn’t have many thoughts at that moment.

But what Mr. Blind said…

Qingxia Zi… this should be a Taoist title, right? Among the people Luo Qiu knows, not having a Taoist title is rare, like the reclusive Yang Taizi.

At this moment, Song Tianyou slowly looked at Luo Qiu, who ‘confusedly’ shook his head, indicating that he didn’t understand.

Song Tianyou quickly said, “Mr. Blind is a remarkable person; during the hospital’s zombie crisis, you should have noticed how Mr. Blind differed from ordinary people, right?”

Luo Qiu nodded.

Mr. Blind slowly said, “Young Master Luo Qiu, I know you are very confused. There are people called favorites of Heaven and Earth, whatever they do, they achieve it easily, obtain it easily, it seems like whatever they do is divinely assisted. They don’t know why their luck is so good, but their luck is just so good… and judging by the change in fortune you just brought to the Song Family, you are among the best of this kind.”

Luo Qiu was silent for a moment, without confusion, but rather because of Mr. Blind’s words, suddenly had some thoughts.

For example, if someone wants to buy a lifetime of prosperity, could he also just pray and be done with it… so economical!

The thoughts continued, yet Mr. Blind’s actions this time surprised Luo Qiu.

This Mr. Blind, known as Qingxia Zi, actually performed a grand ceremony and bowed to Luo Qiu three times, making the always composed Luo Qiu feel somewhat unprepared.

“Mr. Blind, why this action? It’s unnecessary, it’s unnecessary!”

Old Master Song quickly helped Mr. Blind… this gentleman is literally a living sage of the time, being at least half a century older.

Mr. Blind said casually, “I, as a Taoist, embody the Heart of Heaven, conforming to the trend, also revere ghosts and deities. In every dynasty, even the super-powerful of the time, upon meeting the Supreme of the Human World, would perform the ceremony of bowing. Such a Supreme Noble as Young Master Luo Qiu, Qingxia Zi must pay respect, otherwise, it would damage my own causality, should not, should not.”

It seems the Song Family cannot stay any longer… Luo Qiu felt a bit regretful about this.

“Old Master Song, if there’s nothing else, I would like to return to my room to change clothes, is that okay?” Luo Qiu said softly at this moment.

Song Tianyou hesitated for a moment, not knowing how to properly respond, but at this moment, Luo Qiu smiled and nodded, and walked straight out.

“Sir, this… this… this…” Song Tianyou stuttered, unable to speak.

Mr. Blind exhaled at this moment, suddenly saying, “Old Master Song, before seeing this Young Master Luo Qiu, I thought the accumulated true dragon emperor aura of your Song Family’s thousand years would converge upon his person, thus bringing an incredible great momentum to the Song Family. But now it seems that’s not the case… I’m afraid the Song Family itself cannot bear it. Unexpectedly…”

“Sir, what did you not expect?” Old Master Song asked nervously again.

Mr. Blind said calmly at this moment, “I didn’t expect to meet such a supreme noble one in my lifetime. I originally thought such noble beings were just fabrications in old sect texts, I never imagined seeing one today… it’s truly not a wasted life, truly not a wasted life.”

So, sir, were you just talking straight from the textbook… Old Master Song felt that certain images of Mr. Blind in his mind had started to become somewhat skewed.

But no matter what, this remarkable blind man, his Bronze Ancient Sword, was indeed real.

“Old Master Song, with the thousand-year capacity of the Song Family, cannot bear this supreme noble one.” Mr. Blind looked at the many spirit tablets in front of the shrine, “If he wishes to stay, let him stay. If he does not wish to, do not force it. One must know that some things are impossible through force, ultimately futile.”

“Let me think about it…” Song Tianyou lowered his eyebrows in contemplation, and suddenly asked again, “Dare I ask, sir, if offspring can stay?”

Mr. Blind frowned and pondered for a moment, “The supreme noble one’s destiny is too formidable, ordinary women cannot withstand it.”

Old Master Song asked again, “Sir, what do you think of Miss Song Ying?”

Mr. Blind pondered for a moment again, then slowly said, “Miss Ying has deep blessings, with an extreme fortune. Since childhood she has been intelligent and exceptional, a person of talent and favored by heaven, and also descends from the Song Family which possesses the lingering fortune of a dynasty, perhaps worth a try. But I truly cannot calculate clearly, if my senior was here, he might be able to give you a clearer answer, as my senior is the real successor of my sect’s last generation, and I am merely a failure.”

Song Tianyou said, “Sir, are you referring to the true successor of the Clothed Daoist, Master Lai?”

Mr. Blind was silent, seemingly recalling some past events, slowly said, “I am merely the Heavenly Eye, while senior is… the Heart of Heaven.”

…

The Han Residence is not as simple as it appears outside, underneath the residence there is quite a bit of space.

Although she hadn’t been shaved bald or dressed in strange clothing, nor had anyone attached a tail or anything like that, she was eventually imprisoned… Gloria sat on the bed hugging her knees.

The room was not large, with little space for movement, its walls had many soft pads used to prevent collision, overall it was somewhat like a room for imprisoning a mentally ill person.

Since returning from the castle ruins, she had been brought to this place, the time counted had already been more than three days.

During these days, no one appeared — due to being a bloodsucker, no one brought her food either.

These iron doors made of steel, if it weren’t for the power being severed rendering her unable to use them… Gloria sighed, knowing this idea was somewhat unrealistic.

But at this moment, the prisoner’s door suddenly opened.

The one who entered was Song Haoran — the Young Master Song of the Song Family who always wore a carelessly playful smile on his face, this moment he was holding a large bowl.

Gloria smelled the scent of blood… in the bowl, it was filled with fresh blood. This immediately sparked a hunger in Gloria, her expression changed because of it.

Song Haoran cheerfully placed the bowl on the only table in this room – actually just a piece of steel embedded in the wall.

“Fresh, someone in the kitchen cut their wrist, quite a bit of blood was collected.” Song Haoran leaned against the wall, crossed his arms, scrutinizing Gloria who turned her face to the side, “Well, it seems your feeding frequency is longer than I imagined?”

“Idiot, thinking some animal blood can fool me?” Gloria coldly said, “You better let me go, imprisoning me, if discovered, you’ll face catastrophe.”

Song Haoran shrugged, “But I have imprisoned you for several days, yet no bad things have happened, instead my mood is inexplicably very good, feeling refreshed.”

“Doomed man.” Gloria snorted coldly.

“Miss Investigator, among your kind, you should not be heavily relied upon?” Song Haoran suddenly said softly, “Don’t ask me why I know, let me guess?”

Gloria stared at Song Haoran intently.

He calmly said, “I greatly value the lives of my subordinates, if something happens to them, I will act immediately. Only those unimportant, untrusted subordinates do I feel there’s no need to rescue. Additionally, for me, if losing contact with companions within two days, I wouldn’t just wait around.”

“Smart aleck.” Gloria continued to sneer coldly.

Song Haoran remained indifferent, “Let me think more… as an investigator, by your side, there should be a female very important to you.”

Gloria’s expression changed slightly.

Song Haoran said, “I think you wouldn’t genuinely fear me shaving your head, what you fear should be being exposed by me, because I mentioned taking photos and posting them on YouTube, your panic truly began from then. So, why would you be afraid? Afraid others would see your appearance? Generally speaking, it should be that way… which means many know you, I mean bloodsucker acquaintances surely are many, you’re afraid they’d see.”

Seeing Gloria remain silent, Song Haoran spread his hands, “However, although we fear being mocked by companions, it’s not to the extent we’d reveal secrets since fear of being mocked. But if it’s exposure of one’s identity… well, I think most viewers on YouTube wouldn’t realize you’re a bloodsucker.”

He suddenly walked to the bedside, looking down at Gloria, “What are you afraid of? Afraid your companions would know your mission failure? There would be punishment, wouldn’t there? Moreover, such punishment is extremely uncomfortable for you… although you’re trying to hide it, I can’t help but sense your agitation… who is this woman?”

Gloria’s expression grew tense by the second, and when Song Haoran reached out, Gloria’s face suddenly changed dramatically.

From Song Haoran’s hand hung a necklace, its pendant carried a small photo.

“Give it back to me!”

Gloria suddenly lunged forward.

But her power, sealed by the peachwood sword implanted early in her body, at this moment she was like a truly weak woman, naturally not an opponent to Song Haoran who was a mercenary among warriors.

Song Haoran easily caught Gloria’s hands, lifted her up, pressing her whole body against the wall, “How about making a deal?”

Gloria struggled a few times, staring hard at Song Haoran.

Song Haoran smiled, “Tell me everything about the Thirteen Clans, and I’ll give it back to you, and also… bring you genuine human blood. Don’t worry, with so many death row inmates, missing one or two, no one in this country will care.”

“You truly are the most vile man.” Gloria cursed Song Haoran viciously.

Young Master Song merely twirled the necklace in his hand, whistling, “Thank you for the compliment.”
