Three Towers Game

Chapter 1174: Chapter 365: Resolving the Internal Crisis (Part 3)

She quickly started helping Wen Xishu steady the troops’ morale.

Although Clark had left, Li Weiwei showed the determination and loyalty of someone who would stay with the team forever.

”Tomorrow, I’m going to have everyone work one extra hour of overtime. You can feel for yourselves how your body changes after overtime. But remember this, I only allow you to work one extra hour.”

”Dismissed, there’s not much time left, hurry up and rest.”

The team’s first crisis was finally stabilized.

Wen Xishu actually had no idea what the other bosses were thinking.

Logically speaking...

If the boss of Zone A was rational enough, then after yesterday’s crazy overtime, today they should slam on the brakes immediately.

But he wasn’t sure whether, after that frenzy of overtime, Zone A’s boss would receive some kind of gift.

After all, from the start, the game had clearly said: all rules are for you to figure out yourselves.

...

...

The next day, Clark hadn’t slept all night.

When he appeared before everyone in Zone A with 100% hp, 100% dr, a clear face untouched by overtime, and a body of peak-level muscles, he was practically a beast.

From Zone B, five people had jumped ship.

From Zone C, one person had jumped ship.

Zone D actually had no one jump ship.

In short, Zone A was now unprecedentedly powerful.

Currently Zone A had 36 people, Zone B 22, Zone C 29, Zone D 30.

The boss of Zone B...

Clark remembered it seemed to be a guy who was good at turtling, who had survived seventy days in an environment full of monsters.

Specialty: endurance.

That counts as a specialty?

The boss of Zone A was called Yun Xinghe. Best record: commanded a troop of over a thousand people. Trait: balance of power.

The 36 people in Zone A were divided into seven squads.

Not counting the boss, the remaining thirty‑five people were divided into seven teams, five people per team.

Each team had a team leader.

Clark was in Team Seven, and together with a few people from Zone B, formed the seventh team. Clark became captain of Team Seven.

The seven captains, under Yun Xinghe’s leadership... kept each other in check and competed against one another.

The seven squads were further split into two divisions, each division having three teams.

And there was one more team, Team One, which Yun Xinghe treated as the Lucky Team. The benefit of being the Lucky Team was...

Even without working overtime, they could still make sure everyone earned points and survived. And if they did the most overtime, the boss would activate his internal affairs ability so the Lucky Team could plunder the team with the least overtime hours.

And the winners of the two divisions were qualified to challenge the Lucky Team and replace them.

Yun Xinghe made the entire team’s organization especially complicated.

He made it so the members couldn’t see what he was really trying to do. They could only see their short‑term opponents.

He made every team take ”defeat the Lucky Team and become the new Lucky Team” as its goal, and also made the Lucky Team take ”successfully defend the title” as its goal.

He successfully shifted all conflicts onto the teams themselves, while he could manipulate everything behind the scenes.

Sometimes, Yun Xinghe would give certain teams some stimulants; those teams would even thank him for giving them such an opportunity.

Right at this moment, Clark had received just such a ”gift.”

Yun Xinghe was very handsome; compared to Wen Xishu, he looked more like a God‑given male lead.

He said gently:

”Clark, welcome aboard. Your muscles make us feel very safe, but you know, our team is a highly competitive team.”

”I have high hopes for you. I hope your Team Seven can be the first to take first place in your division, then beat the other division and go challenge the Lucky Team.”

”I like the number seven, so let me give you a bit of help.”

”Work like crazy, go do overtime, unleash your initiative, go to war! Drink these, they’re precious potions I exchanged for with points.”

The bizarre purple reagents left Clark a bit dazed.

But faced with Yun Xinghe’s invitation, as someone who had just jumped ship over here, it was hard for him to refuse.

”First place comes with extra rewards. Oh, and let me tell you something: don’t be afraid of overtime. As long as we’re always number one in points, we’ll get extra subsidies. That’s a rule those low‑IQ teams can’t discover—only first place is qualified to know it.”

”Look, doesn’t everyone in our company look full of energy?”

They really did.

Everyone looked very healthy, spirits high, even, you could say, brimming with fighting intent.

Clark felt he had come to the right place.

This was the boss he should be following! Screw egalitarianism!

Fired up with energy, he drank down the creepy reagent.

In fact, Yun Xinghe had not told him what exactly the subsidy for first place was.

But the interesting thing was, every time Yun Xinghe said this, nobody asked.
