Alec was now watching the battle with increased interest; he hadn’t expected the strategies employed to push the fight to the final confrontations so quickly, and because of this he couldn’t help but applaud Vladimir’s strategy, as he was the one who came up with the strategy in the first place.

However, the only problem was that he was up against another genius who was quick to adapt.

Alec felt that, at this moment, Dragov might be surrounded by at least four or five mages from the Battle Mage Academy who were still capable of fighting if Damien had not been able to adapt to the strategy.

But more than anything, he was eager for the match to conclude, as he now had all the materials he needed to create his own Tier 5 Spirit equipment set, and not only that, his Blood Changdao had upgraded, and the last notification he received indicated that one of the weapon’s seals would be unlocked.

He hadn’t had the chance to see its new status yet, which was why he was eager to return to his quarters, as only there could he experiment to his heart’s content, so he was really happy for swift elimination of the whole team leaving only the main players remaining.

Damien and Vladimir dashed towards a far distance leaving the whole center to the captains, with Vladimir shooting mana arrows at Damien from his Crossbow, who protected himself with a round blood shield and countered with blood arrows of his own.

With each attack he launched, Damien was losing a portion of the blood he had accumulated, and the blood pool above his head was steadily thinning.

Now that both vice captains were out of range, there was finally enough space for the two captains to engage in combat.

Dragov swung his massive sword forward, witnessing such raw power from Dragov, Vincent chose to push off the ground and retreat, unwilling to get caught in a battle of strength with him.

Seeing Vincent evade his attack with such ease didn’t discourage Dragov, instead, he dashed forward, leaving his sword embedded deep in the ground after his last strike.

Dragov was no fool; he knew that, despite his considerable physical strength, it would be futile if he couldn’t land a hit on Vincent.

He also recognized that wielding such a great sword would compromise his speed.

Due to his great speed, Dragov hadn’t considered his reduced agility a problem in fights before; as no mage could easily evade him.

However, facing a mage like Vincent who was equally skilled forced him to rethink this approach, which is why he lunged at Vincent who was retreating, Dragov’s right hand draw back.

His fist tightened as Qi-like energy converged on his hand, gradually taking the shape of a massive dragon’s claw.

The dragon’s hand, materialized from the energy, mirrored Dragov’s posture as he launched his punch toward Vincent’s midsection.

Vincent raised his sword in front of him, supported by his left hand.

Bang!

A loud sonic boom erupted as Dragov’s punch connected with Vincent’s weapon, the impact sent Vincent flying, generating visible sound waves as he crashed through the battlefield.

Despite the force of the strike, Vincent managed to land on his feet.

“I have to say, I wasn’t expecting that!

I thought you were just a weapon fighter, you could have told me we were going to brawl,” Vincent remarked, raising his gaze only to see Dragov hovering above him, while another fist came hurtling toward him, with a wild smile on Dragov’s face.

“Not again!” Vincent thought, as he deftly maneuvered his body, employing his footwork technique to its fullest potential.

With impressive speed, he evaded Dragov’s punch and countered by slamming his left fist into Dragov’s face from the side.

The impact sent Dragov flying back several meters before he managed to regain his footing by digging his legs into the ground as he refused to let his back touch the ground.

He touched the spot where Vincent had struck him, adjusting his jaw back into place.

As Dragov looked at Vincent, he noticed that Vincent’s left fist was wrapped in iron chains that appeared to be enchanted.

Still, he couldn’t believe that this alone could make Vincent so powerful that it caused him such pain.

Dragov had tried to follow Vincent’s movements, and at the last moment, he attempted to catch Vincent’s punch with his own left hand.

However, in the final moment Vincent’s hand moved like a flicker, slipping past Dragov’s palm and landing squarely on his face.

Such humiliation was something he couldn’t accept.

The crowd, having just witnessed such high intensity between both mages, erupted into cheers, chanting the name of the captain they supported.

Before their eyes, both mages vanished again, their bodies transforming into streaks of light that clashed across the arena.

The crowd was in awe once more, as each collision of light was accompanied by a loud bang, and whenever it happened close to the ground, the surrounding area was left in ruins.

“How is it?

Do you feel threatened by their strength?” Selene asked, facing Alec with a smirk.

Alec, who was seated beside her, shook his head with a faint smile.

“I have to admit, they are both very strong.

If you had asked me this question a few days ago, I would have said I had a 75% chance of winning against them, and this is when considering their hidden moves they have yet to show,” Alec replied, pausing mid-sentence without elaborating further.

Everyone in the third VIP section were all experts, and had heard Selene’s question since she wasn’t trying to shield the conversation with any mental defence, and this made them keen to hear Alec’s response to the question.

“Don’t keep me in suspense, you naughty boy, what are your chances now of defeating either of them?” Selene pressed.

Though others in the room, especially the mages of the Onyx Academy, were eager to ask Alec this question, but they refrained since it was a private discussion.

So when Selene asked, they all turned their attention once again to Alec, who appeared quite relaxed while watching the exchange of blows below.

“Honestly, if either of them were to face me now, I’d say I have a 99% chance of defeating them.

I say this out of respect for their abilities,” Alec stated.

But his words were met with scoffs and snorts from those who overheard him.

What surprised Alec the most was that even the two instructors joined in this behaviour.

While he could understand why the mages and representatives of the Onyx Academy would act that way, he hadn’t expected the two instructors to side with another academy against one of their own so openly, considering they already have a strained relationship with the team.

“Let’s see how you intend to win against either of them,” said the instructor responsible for their finances.

Arthur, sitting on Alec’s left side, clenched his fists, ready to retort.

However, Alec raised his hand and shot him a look that halted both Arthur and the rest of the team, who were prepared to defend him.

Although he no longer respected any of the instructors, but he didn’t want his teammates to disregard their rank and engage in a verbal fight over something trivial in public tarnishing The War God Academy name; to him, the instructor’s comment held no weight.

Actually a few days ago, he had truly been prepared to fight to the bitter end against anyone he might meet, but after his fortunate gains from his recent expedition into the beast forest, he was entirely confident in his victory against any captain.

Because not only had Titan reached the Tier 6 realm, but he also now possessed the materials he needed to create a new spirit equipment set that would elevate his strength to match or potentially exceed that of the two captains.

He hadn’t even checked the changes to his Changdao yet.

For the first time in a long while, everything seemed to be going his way, and he wasn’t going to let a couple of instructors he held in low regard spoil his good mood.
