668: Chapter 668.

“I see!

You’re all excited to watch them battle, in that case, it wouldn’t make any sense for me to keep you all in suspense any longer,” the red-haired referee announced.

“Join me in welcoming to the stage the battle thirsty warrior mage, the ones who have honed their battle techniques to a much higher level, the goody two shoes maniacs!, welcome the Battle Mage Academy team!” He announced as he gestured towards the right side of the arena.

With that, the enormous entrance door swung open, and the Battle Mage Academy team emerged, clad in their spirit equipment and armed with weapons.

Just watching them move, the crowd could feel their fighting spirit radiating and covering the right side of the massive battle ring, the fans of the Battle Mage Academy began singing in unison.

They broke into their academy’s official battle song, and seeing such high morale from the fans, Vincent raised his hands in the air, waving to them as the rest of the team placed their right hands over their chests in salute.

It was a special moment for them; the Battle Mage Academy had come this far, and they wanted to express their gratitude to their fans for standing by them all the way.

As the battle chants concluded, the team raised their hands toward the sky, sending a spark of magic into the air that formed the image of two hands crossing each other in an X symbol, the logo of the Battle Mage Academy.

The well-orchestrated display amazed even the VIP members, who exchanged comments among themselves.

“It seems your academy has invested a lot to promote its image this time around,” said the Patriarch of the Bloodline Academy to the representative of the Battle Mage Academy, stroking his white beard thoughtfully.

“Of course!

We learned a lot from last year; having a better opening can significantly boost team morale, so why not spend a little cash here and there to showcase the prestige of our academy?” The representative of the Battle Mage Academy, looking somewhat frail, added with a proud smile.

He was an old man with full white hair who relied on a walking cane for support, but nobody in the second-level VIP booth underestimated him; they could all sense the dangerous aura radiating from him.

“Well, let’s see whose preparations are sufficient,” the Bloodline Academy Dean said with a wild smile, seemingly unfazed by the old man from the Battle Mage Academy.

He was initially shocked because this man was a smooth talker.

Every mage he had encountered from the Battle Mage Academy had been a battle maniac, unwilling to exchange words with him.

And those who did often lost badly, but this old man had managed to conclude the discussion with a single sentence, silencing him and preventing any possibility for a comeback or exploit.

That’s why he had left the decision open to see who had prepared the better crowd celebrations.

Once the Battle Mage Academy fans had finally settled down, the red-haired referee once again began his introductions, this time pointing towards the left side of the arena.

“Welcome to the battle ring, the mysterious, the ancient, the ones who carry legacies from the past, the Bloodline Academy Mage team!” the referee declared.

As soon as he finished, the entrance door on the left creaked open slowly, and smoke billowed out of the tunnel, which the crowd eagerly watched for the Bloodline Academy team to emerge.

Thump!!!

A loud thumping sound echoed as the fans of the Bloodline Academy clenched their right fists and slammed them against their chests in unison.

This rhythmic pounding created a sound like a powerful heartbeat that reverberated throughout the entire royal grand arena.

These fervent fans infused their mana into their fists, synchronising the beating of their hearts.

If it had been just one mage, such a movement wouldn’t have captured much attention, but with over five thousand fans participating, it created an electrifying rhythm as someone finally emerged from the gray smoke that filled the tunnel.

“Dragov!!!!!”

The crowd erupted in cheers when the first mage stepped out, it was none other than Dragov Dragonmir, however, that wasn’t the most surprising thing.

He walked bare-chested, dragging behind him his massive greats word which was wide as half an average door.

His eyes held a certain glint underneath his long hair, and those who knew him could tell he was incredibly excited.

Few things could stir such excitement in Dragov, but everyone was certain that at this very moment his excitement had to do with the captain of the Battle Mage Academy.

Vincent Whitefang had always been publicly acknowledged as the mage closest to Dragov in strength, though they had never clashed before.

But most people believed there was no doubt that there was some truth to the theory.

These rumours had clearly reached Dragov, making him feel that Vincent was his only rival on the inter academy competition, In fact, that’s why he seemed uninterested in the other great eight academy captains.

However, an irregular mage named Alec had piqued his interest as well along the way, and after both Alec and Vincent managed to withstand his aura yesterday, Dragov was eager to face them both.

But for now, though, he would have to settle for Vincent.

Dragov’s aura was unmatched by others in his realm, thanks to his dragon bloodline, which made his aura pressure significantly stronger, and this was without even considering the higher degree of his bloodline.

As Dragov appeared, the rest of the Bloodline Academy emerged from the mist, one by one all clad in their academy uniforms.

Fans of the Bloodline Academy cast magical sparks into the air, creating an image of their current team in a striking display.

“Finally, it’s our turn!” Damien said, looking toward Vlad on the other side with anticipation.

“I think you know very well that we won’t be the main determiners of this battle, but come and show me what you’re truly made of,” Vlad replied with a faint smile.

Although he might not possess the devilish handsomeness of Damien, but he had his own rugged charm that made him appealing in a different way.

“Begin!” the red-haired referee announced, then vanished in a puff of black smoke as both teams rushed toward each other, shouting at the top of their lungs.
